what is the best/most populated server to start up a character in?

The Mos Eisley cantina on Bria usually has at least several dozen players inside at any time. That's probably as many players as most of the other servers. (though it's a far cry from the peak of the game, it's encouraging to see this sort of population again)

if you want a simple to play combat char, then maybe commando, their one of the strongest by the sound of things, and little strategy involved. but, without more information on what type of game play you prefer, its all just guesswork. read the information on the different professions and go from there is my advice. pick one that appeals to you most, unless your going to be pvp'ing it doesnt make much difference.

from looking at the server populations at character creation, the most populated server appears to be bloodfin, however, that doesnt mean its the best, if you do decide to choose one of the euro servers, have to remember that there is a higher degree of lag if your playing in america, than if your in the euro zone, its not a major problem, but its something you should be aware of. my advice is try a few different servers, and you will eventually find one you want to play on.

Go to Shadowfire. Loads of great characters, lots of PvP and PvE groups and if you are Rebel we need you! PM me if you do join shadowfire.
