I have been playing since Christmas and i love SWG! My Girlfriend got the Complete Adventures for me because she knows i'm a huge SW fan. Let me try to give you a picture of what a beginner encounters when first starting to play...

First off many things the seem trival to the Vets are amazing to a noob. Seeing Vader and a ton of stormtroopers or Luke walking around a shuttle is a big deal to someone who has never seen it before, Yet if you mention it some of the vets will say its nothing or tell you to "Shut Up Noob".

I have met many helpful people on Radiant, my chosen Galaxy. Sadly i have also encountered alot of people who are bitter about either the CU or NGE or both. While i can understand there feelings, Spamming about how bad SWG sucks now does little to encourage a noob to stay.

As with any Online Game, Noobs are the lifes blood of SWG. Without them it will die. If your still playing SWG then please give it a rest about the changes.CU and NGE are here to stay, only SOE can change that and from what i've read they have no plans to do so.

I know people loved the old SWG, but its gone and not coming back anytime soon. What can we do but accept it? Lets try to work together to make SWG great again within the new system. Like i said, i never played the old SWG but those that did are destroying the new game by convincing noobs that its not worth there time to play it.

I Hope to be a part of SWG for a long time, but it can only happen if SWG survives. I have played many PC Games both online and single player and honestly the new SWG is not a bad game.It has so much potential, but unless we can keep people playing it will vanish.

So please, Listen to the hopes of a noob and do your part to make SWG a game people want to play.

everything is awsome when your a noob, i remember loving harvesting resources with my crappy speeder for hours, first time i met vader, it was a special event i think, and i was able to give him a couple of hugs and get screens of it.

i love noobs, except for the really noobish ones who dont listen to me

I said the same things Warlord and now I too avoid the game. I will not bash the game but will say after you hit 90, it gets pretty boring. There is only so much GCW grinding and raids you can do to satisfy yourself. What I will say to you is...enjoy the game. It will be an awesome experience for you while you are grinding and talking to new friends. But...unless they do something to enhance the content, you will end up like the rest of us. May the force be with you

I saw SWG in Future Shop while I was buying KOTOR. I mentioned it to some people, speculated on how immersive it must be...then my roommate bought it for me for Christmas (2004?).

For the first six months or so, every time I logged in I was impressed and learned something new. Instant messages (I religously avoid MSN, MySpace, all other internet-based socialization), in-game emails, bazaar searches, the game mechanics...I remember how cool everything felt.

Sure the CU and NGE destroyed that game, but what remains is still impressive and I always go out of my way to help today's noobs.

Props for sticking with the game...I've given way too many items and credits to noobs who only stayed for a month.
