SOE has always sucked about this stuff. I remember before the CU (pre-CU) when a lot of people were calling for a (albiet, needed rebalancing), SOE was getting a little ban-happy.

SOE are just scummers. They dont listen to a word anyone says. And Julio Torres the stupid dumbass is leading them to killing SWG again. It's his fault over 40% of the gasmes population have quit. I hate SOE.

No one really knows, outside LucasArts and SOE. Both consistently insist that they were 100% in agreement on the decision to implement the NGE. IMHO, it certainly looked like LucasArts rode in and pulled the plug on the CU, what with the way SOE was hyping the snot out of the ongoing changes within the CU right up until the very day Julio Torres dropped his red-letter bomb on us in the SWG Forums... but the bottom line is, trying to determine responsibility between the two is like trying to decide which cookie slab from an Oreo is going to still have the filling stuck to it when you pull the cookie apart.

SONY or LUCAS ARTS, it probably doesnt matter that much now if one was more to blame than the other, but yes, the forum moderators are going crazy, i think they even brought in more moderators to deal with the workload, there are a lot of unhappy people around, and their not walking away, their having their say, and as you already know, that kind of thing is just not allowed on the forums, of course, at the moment if they set up a complaints forum, it would probably need its own server. having been banned, (again :D) normally, i'd be annoyed or whatever at receiving a ban, but at the moment, it feels like getting a pat on the back, i wonder if Garva is really as smug as he sounds sometimes. or if TH really believes the things he has to say, but more than anything i wonder what the future holds for SWG, SOE/LA seem to be destroying it, but will it die?

SOE/LA are already losing money on SWG, as more people are leaving, although the mass exodus has taken place already, there are still a few who are in the process of leaving, prepaid accounts etc. the question is how much money are SOE/LA prepared to lose, and for how long, SOE probably can't afford to have the game fold, as it may well impact their future game release plans, and for a company that relies on its good name in order to attract customers, you really do have to wonder what is going on, will bioware for instance, stay with SOE in light of current proceedings, will the dc superhero mmog that is in the planning stages, bite the bullet on this one? SOE/LA's name has been dragged through the mud, and they've made enough PR gaffs too that they are starting to look inept and more than a little stupid on this one. and yes i do believe that the guys etc, at Blizzard, or Eve Online, are probably shaking their heads in disbelief wondering what could possibly be going through SOE/LA's minds, when their not falling over laughing at them that is. its almost like that famous old nixon line, would you buy a used car from this man etc, people would probably run a mile from SOE/LA's future releases, or at least treat them with an extremely critical eye. anyway, sorry for the essay.. again.. :D
