even if they did do it, would just be interesting to see how they make a Realtime strategy into a MMO

Look at WoW. Warcraft = World of Warcraft.

Its what the name implies. The world of Warcraft. Warcraft was a RTS game, they made it into an MMO.

Basicly wow is set up the same as eqoa except 1000 times better.

Graphics wise it owns eqoa but thats a given being a PC compared to console. Althou i'd have to say EQ2 owns WoW on graphics due to there insane min req for graphic cards.

multiple camera angles from first person to i'd say compared to 15 feet away from toon and you can control distants.

Insane amount of quests that are not limited by race. Only limited by faction as in alliance cant touch horde quests and vice versa.

PvP servers are great you can duel your own faction if you want or deny the duel. If your horde and you go into alliance terratory your open PvP but you cant attack them unless attacked first. In contested areas it's a free for all so your always watching your back.

Money is not as easy to make as in eqoa but when you do earn the cash you really do work for your money.

You can buy really sweet looking steads for traveling at level 40 and epic mounts at 60.

You can go to battle grounds which is basicly war. Horde Vs alliance and see who the victor is.

Traveling is sweet with horde you fly animals to your next coach.

You can level to 60 by grouping or soloing which ever you choose.

They have instantces which are basicly hard *** dungeons which only you/group are in anybody else comes they get there own version so there is no ks'ing the good mobs and treasure.

It's just a better game overall compared to eqoa. But you cant fault eqoa it's been out longer and is console so eqoa is great in it's own right.

Is WoW based on grouping ot level or is it easy to solo?

Im considering getting it and im sorta sick of not being able to solo anything in eqoa.

I just solo'd my way to 20 and havent grouped once. i played so far maybe 30 hours. Getting used to the controls, chat commands, game play took about 2 hours and im still learning a few things here and there.

Im sure if i have done nothing but group i'd be 30 by now.
It's great for hard core gamers or casual. And it's highly quest based which are based mostly on level zones. At 16 i have gotten quests i cant do til about 23 and dungeons which i cannot do without a group.

I do recommend going to a PvP server thou the battle of good vs evil is fun.

Grouping isn't faster at all, its mostly used for harder quests, instanced zones, and if you have a friend who is your level and you group together for the social value.

Grinding is also faster than questing, but questing is less tedious.

Id like a WoW style game for PS2... Id change from EQOA to WoW, but my comp is in use too often.

Ps2 broke so im screwed anyway, it wont read discs at all.

And soloing is better anyways since you keep all the cash and prizes. Questing is fun since the quests send you all over the zone and sometimes into the next zone to explore new areas.

I finally took the blimp to undercity and i really like questing/xp'n there.

If they made wow cross compatible with xbox or ps3 it would trully beat all the compitition

I would be pissed if they cross-comp'd with anything but ps3. What'll happen is what happened with FFXI, loading times between each zone, the graphics would be watered down. The land would be watered down. I don't think anything besides a ps3 could handle it as is. Unless xbox360 is going to meet the specs.

Well the xbox will be getting FFXI so theres a slight chance that they can handle WoW. But your right i'd rather not share the servers with console gamers

I agree with dark over all I would prefer to keep PC and consoles MMO seperate.

I have played eqoa for a while now, and have played several pc MMO's and the people are different. I find that EQOA has more childish behavior then the PC games. Keep them seperate so that pc games are pc and console are console, and people can decide what suits their style more. But I doubt the manufacturers will do that, if the next gen consoles can handle the game I am sure they are going to push for more sales.

There is a huge difference in the mentality of online console gamers to PC gamers. With PC games the maturity of gamers seems to be higher then console. PC games that are not cross compatible are generally more in depth and not something easy to grasp. ALthou i'd have to say alot of the PC gamers i have encountered consider themselves elite gamers and console are just lamers.
