sony is so fking dum now the ps3 is getting down graded to catch x-box 360 they realized there price was out ragious well it didnt take a rocket scientist to fiqure that out
eqoa needs a rehab
I think a mutli-million dollar company such as Sony would has a bigger reason than that and most likely made this in the best interest of the company.
If the playstation 3 cost 800 dollars it would still sell out first day.

haha try Multi-Billion man...I highly doubt its gunna cost near 800 dollars cuz they wont get alot of people to buy it. It may start that high but it will drop dramitcally.

Actually I read that they officially said $299 when PS3 comes out, and its not coming out till next summer anyways. Or somewhere near there.

If it was One thousand dollars, they would still sell out first day. Hell even more, many people that have alot of money on their hands play video games, or have kids that do, so it will sell no matter how much they put it up for. But they wont put it for that much cuz too many people like you would complain.

How much did the computer cost that you used to type this? Alienware computers are designed specificlly for gamers and they run over $2,000.

Atleast in the states, maybe not in africa or something, but here, yeah theres alot of people. And maybe its stupid to buy a game system for that much money, but if they earned enough money in their life to buy a game system for that much without worries, then maybe they arent so stupid afterall.
Unless they were born rich and never worked in their life, then they are stupid but who cares they have the money for it anyways so let them spend it how they want.

I dont think people are ready for a super video game/entertainment system. With the state of the economy being in distress at the moment having a system of that magnitude and price is just asking for a fall.
I wish sony would just fix all the damn gas prices before they make video games!

Makes me glad my car gets 30+ miles per gallon, that and I get paid milage.
