TIP: Solo the GORAX on Endor

By/Author: Torassa aka Torassa Beva

Original thread: http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=quests&message.id=20040

This is a little note to help those hoping to get the Gorax Hunting Badge.

The Gorax is a HUGE biped on the planet of Endor. They travel alone and are found in the more barren region of Endor Northeast of the Nothern most outpost on the planet.

The Gorax is a CL 83 creature. It is slow moving but when it gets close enough WATCH OUT. It hard and doesn't go down without a fight. A Master Rifle/Master Pistoleer/Carbineer with High Damage/Root/Knockdown/Snare can take one out. Get some Conceal Shots off for damage. Then start Rooting/Damage till Root wears off/Snare and move away while firing then Knockdown once snare wears off. By this time Root should be ready again. Rinse and repeat. Be prepared to see them "retreat" on occasion when they get to about 50% HAM. Root them if they start to move away.

The Gorax has nearly 35000 HAM and even a damage dealer like a Rifleman will take a while to take it down.

They usually spawn in a 1500m radius around WP 750 4500. Look for a YELLOW/RED/PURPLE Con circle depending on your CL. CL80 toons jsut drive around till you see something CON Yellow with a RED Dot. 9 times out of ten it will be a Gorax. I have hunted 3 of these in a night all within the radius given about. Be prepared to clone if you let the Gorax get too close.

A group, of course, will have an easier time. Especially if you have multiple ROOT capable combatants. If the Gorax can't close on you then he is done for.

A screenshot of the Gorax can be found here.

  • Bounty Hunter Armor - My Guide/Tactics/Drop Rate

  • BY/AUTHOR: JediSpam AKA Hormel Spam

  • Hi all,
I've been seeing a lot of questions regarding BH Armor so I decided to write this.

    General Info
BH Armor looks like this: http://mg.web-cites.com/armor.html (Look at Assault Armor)

It's exclusively dropped by Black Sun NPC's.
For info on where to go and what to hunt, see "Bounty Hunter Armor Loot Guide by Rodav (Chimaera)". Although the Kill Method mentioned is Pre-CU tactics, it should get you started.
    http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=game_guides&message.id=274270

Post-CU BH Armor only has condition on them and no resists.
Post-CU Armor is NON-WEARABLE and is basically a component used to craft Mandalorian Armor in the DWB.
Only Pre-CU Armor has resists and is categorized as Assault Armor and IS WEARABLE.
Pre-CU Armor has "Crafted" behind the name of the Armor piece, whereas Post-CU does not.

Black Sun NPS's are CL88 and CL89 Elite. They are pretty tough unless you know what you're doing.
Assassins, Thugs and Guards all use both Ranged and Melee attacks.
    Henchmen are strictly Melee.

    Post-CU Hunting Guide

    Method 1 (grouping)

You need a good tank that dishes out a lot of damage so the person can hold agro.
A Swordman/TKM will do the job wonderfully.
All others stand behind and make sure you use inferior weapons so you don't out-damage the tank.

Keep Roots on the BS at all possible times to help reduce damage taken by the tank.
If you have a healer, have the healer heal the tank from behind.
A small group of 3-4 CL80 players should be enough but if in doubt, bring more friends.
You can pretty much handle any type of BS if you just have a good tank.
All other tactics are the same as any other high-end MoB.

But since the drop rate is sooooo low, the majority of people that you take with you will get bored really fast.
If you are rich and/or dedicated, you might want to hire some people to go with you paying them an hourly rate. There are many newbs that would love the extra income and experience. I'd say 200K an hour is a good rate that nobody seems to turn down.

    Method 2 (soloing)

When soloing, your only option should be killing Henchmen.
Only the Henchmen are pure melee, meaning a ranged profession can solo it.
I haven't tried soloing it with a Melee template, but since my template is Mrifle/Mcarbine/Mmarksman/Pistol 0303/Novice Medic, I wouldn't know.

Here's what I do personally. (Some useful hints)

My key to soloing them are pets, having a Ranged profession and understanding the game mechanics/AI.

I use pets to begin. Pets are used to pull BS's from out of range one at a time so you only have 1 to fight. Just use any droid/creature pet that you can use. Order the pet to attack from around 80-100m and this should get both pet and BS to meet up around 50-60m, which is within rifle range. This means you pulled the BS 40m closer to you. If it's still not close enough, order the pet to follow you and the BS should continue following the pet.. This is helpful when you have multiple BS's in a tight group and you only want one. Once in range, fire! Let the pet act as a DoT. Pets tend to lose agro during the fight due to not being hit for a XX amount of time, so don't forget to tell it to attack now and then.

    Use Snares, Roots and Knockdowns.
Use Stares to slow them down and keep kiting them.
If they get within 30m, toss in a Knockdown or Root to keep them out of range.
If they get within 15m, they start hitting Melee.

/way the original spot they spawned and kite them 200-250m away from the spot. If you have multiple BS's after you, the others tend to lose agro around 100m from the original spawn point if you don't attack them back.

If you successfully kite them more than 200m away, kill it, and return, another one should have spawned back so you can rinse and repeat. If it hasn't spawned, you can wait a few minutes for it to do so.

If you go more then 250m away from the original spawn point, the BS will start retreating.
If they do retreat, try /burstrun and follow it back. Once it gets back to its original spot, you'll notice other BS's have spawned back, but nevermind them and attack the one you were fighting and kite it out of there before it disappears. Your burstrun should still be active so it shouldn't be that hard (Read above about the others losing agro).
This also works when you are incapped. If you have a pet attacking the BS, once you get incapped, it will spend a few seconds incapping your pet before it retreats back. Once you are incapped, you can't get agro from it again until it rerturns back to its original spawnpoint. An incap from a BS only last about 10 seconds or less so you can get up and Stim>BactaShot>Ruby>Stim while you follow it back.

I found the above method to work late last night but I've only tried it twice so far so I need more data.

    Loot Rate

The rate seems to vary a lot, but this is what I have so far.
I didn't keep tabs on the first 100 or so BS's, so I'll start at #101 since I have data after that.

#1-100 one Bicep and one Legging
    #119 Bracer
    #125 Legging
    #155 Chest Plate
    #163 Bicep
    #207 Gloves
    #214 JetPack Base
    #225 Legging
    #231 Boots
    #234 Helmet
    Logged out after #239

So far, after about 239 kills, I've looted 10 pieces and a JetPack Base.
Very good average, but as you can see, the first 200 BS's only netted me 6 pieces.
Long dry spells like between #125 and #155, #163 and 207 are common so don't expect a drop after killing just a handful of them.

Roughly 70% of the kills were soloed.
I was grouped with my pet on about 70% of the soloed ones. (Some say grouping affects the drop rate)

    Value

I would think a piece of BH Armor would sell for an easy million - more like a few million depending on your server.
Helmets seem to be the most popular piece and usually sell for more than the rest of the pieces.
See your server trade boards for market value on these things.

    That's all for now folks!
I'll update this with more info if I can.

    Jabba Themepark Mission Guide

Author/By: SSSnuggles AKA Dade L. Ess and Daed Alus

    http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=game_guides&message.id=166834

The Jabba Themepark is a fairly easy set of missions with reasonable rewards and is quite straightforward. With buffs and armour I believe someone with lvl 4 in a marksman chain could complete this mission set. It takes place at the Jabba Palace POI on Tatooine

You don't need to worry about Hutt faction points (I did it with -1700), you do need to worry about Jabba faction points, which must be at least 200 to start the missions (either take Valerian missions or just kill the random valerians around the palace if you need to up this value). Here is the set of missions, what you will encounter there, who you get them from and the rewards (note, the rewards are what I got, if you got something different, post it here):

    Reelo:
    1) 2 Tuskens (Leader, Raider)
    2) 5 Valariens (thug lvl)
    3) retrieve person mission (4 valarien thugs are there too)

    3) Deliver part (1 valarien assassin there waiting)
    Reward: Painting of Pa'lowick musician
Alternate Reward: Twi'lek Portrait painting [Thx, Guinness094]

    Porcellus
    1) 2 mercenaries, 1 kaduu (you get a petrified avian egg)

    3) Cannibal Dewback (clvl 21) (Chicken Leg is the loot here)
Reward: Schem for the crafters apron

    Reward: Featherweight FWG schematic

If you ever want to keep the loot that is needed to be given in for the mission (I like the Rantok, and the Chicken Leg), just toss it in a droid, or to a friend, go back to the mission giver and do the mission again.

When you have to retrieve people in general (for other themeparks as well) you actually only need to talk to them, although they'll follow you, you have already completed the mission, so it doesn't matter if they die or don't make it back.

That's it, just some information... please feel free to add your info on this themepark.

Edit note: Added some alternate rewards [If you get something other then what I listed, please post it here so I can update]

  • The Complete Guide To Death Watch Bunker - By Wengel *MOVIES ADDED!*

  • By/Author: Wengel

    http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=game_guides&message.id=261402

Death Watch Bunker - The Complete Guide – By Wengel

The death watch bunker itself is the newest added dungeon to SWG. Thought by many to be “impossible” due to the amount of super battle droids and such. The bunker itself is a huge complex on Endor, aprox. 5 km away from the smugglers outpost. I’m writing this guide because after a month of dedicated work, my guild and I have finally conquered the bunker. SarDuKar on Chimaera has now crafted a Jetpack and a Mandalorian Armor Helmet. After reading several guides on this forum, I got annoyed by how much false info many of these had. And different guides often contradict each other on crucial key points.

    Anyway, let’s get to it.

    Preparations:

This place is not the Geonosian Cave. Here you need to prepare yourself and your team. Select a team that are willing to work towards the end goal of the bunker – crafting an item. Make sure the team understands that it will take time, work and dedication to conquer this dungeon. Many hours will be spent within the bunker. And you need a leader and a co-leader that are willing to spend a lot of time on preprations, and to lead the group inside the bunker.

Let’s start with the professions your team should be based on. Despite what many people think, this dungeon does NOT require a 20 man group.

    Core Group:

Tanks: This means Melee chars and defense stackers. TKM’s with Fencer skills and so on. These guys will be the players who will take a lot of hits.

Combat Medic(s): A Combat medic with Area stimpacks and Mindheal ability is essential for the success of the group. There’s no way even the best doctor can keep up with a skilled combat medic using area stimpacks, and basically plays the role of the CM as it’s supposed to be played.

Jedi: Yes, despite their lack of armor and protection, Jedi will be the players that will do the main potion of the damage in the bunker. Knights are preferable, due to their ability to wield high damage sabers, and they won’t care about the XP loss upon death. And death for a Jedi in the bunker is a very real possibility.

    Add-ons to the Core group:

Riflemen: Their ability to damage both droids and humanoids with T21 and DXR6b Disrupter rifles will without a doubt speed up the trip thru the bunker. And they are one of the only professions that can actually do decent damage to a SBD.

Pikemen: SBD’s have quite low electricity resist, and that’s where the Pikeman enters the scene. The Vibrolance and PolearmHit3 will do decent damage to these droids.

Bounty Hunters: Either equipped with a Scatter Pistol (Acid) or a Light Lightning Cannon (Electrictity) will also help speed up the process of the SBD-killing within the bunker.

Professions Required for the actual crafting of a Jetpack/Mandalorian Armor Part:

Master Droid Engineer: The MDE is responsible for opening the door to the Droid Engineer’s Crafting Room. MDE is required to craft the following Mandalorian Armor Parts: Helmet and Bracers.

Master Armorsmith: The MAS is responsible for opening the door to the Armorsmith’s Crafting Room. MA is required to craft the following Mandalorian Armor Parts: Chestplate, Biceps and Boots.

Master Tailor: The MT is responsible for opening the door to the Tailors Crafting Room. MT is required to craft the following Mandalorian Armor Parts: Leggings, Gloves and Belt.

Master Artisan: The M-Art is only required for the crafting of the Jetpack.

    What to bring:

Armor: At least 80% kinetic/energy armor for everyone. Tanks should further more bring an extra set of armor. AT LEAST a spare chestplate.

Foods: Brandy, Ahrisa, Canape, Vercupti, Synthsteak/Exo-Protein, Citros Snow Cake/Crispic, Air-Cake/Pikatta Pie, Vegeparsine and so on. Spiced Tea can also be usefull for emergencies.

Spices: Moun Gold and Neutron Pixie can be very handy for emergencies. But watch for the downers.

Stimpacks: Everyone with medic/doc skills should bring a fair amount of these. The CM should bring A LOT of area heals. They will be needed!

Buffs: Of course everyone will bring a buff, but duration is the key here. 3:30 duration buffs will be needed on several occations. Musician and Dancer buffs is required. And use the ability to “store” a dancer or music buff as well. You will spend more than 2 hours at a time in the bunker.

    Items needed for crafting:

This is the part that many other guides have been quite unclear about. In the actual crafting process, these items are needed:

Jetpack: Jetpack Base, Ducted Fan, Fuel Dispersal Unit, Injector Tank, Jetpack Stabilizer and Alum Minerals (6 items)

Mandalorian Armor: Binary Liquid, Protective Liquid Coating, Alum Minerals and a part of the Bounty Hunter Armor (For helmet crafting, you bring a helmet and so on) (4 items)

Further more, if you plan on crafting a Jetpack, you need to gain access to the Droid Engineer’s Crafting Room. Even though you use a Master Artisan to craft the Jetpack, you cannot enter the crafting room. You need to bring along a Master Droid Engineer to unlock the door to the crafting room.

The MDE need to have 2 items in his inventory before he can unlock the door: Alum Minerals Bounty Hunter Helmet or Bracer

Without these items in the inventory of the MDE, you cannot unlock the door.

    Rules of Engagement

In order for your group to even stand a chance of survival, there’s a few rules that must be followed without questions asked.

    1) Follow the leader.

    2) Do as you are told – Don’t do anything unless it’s verified with the leader.

    3) Whatever happens, do NOT use Area or Cone attacks. None what so ever.

    4) Don’t touch anything. That means don’t touch/target terminals, coal bins, containers - Nothing!

    5) Assign one person to do ALL looting. Make sure it’s a leader/co-leader of the group.

    6) NO emotes, NO spatial chat – as this will make extra SBD’s spawn on top of you.

    The Group and their jobs

Before you start, you have to make sure that everyone in the group knows their job. Check your group and find out its strengths and weaknesses. Assign a HAM-bar to hit. If you got Jedi and Riflemen/Pistol BH’s, make sure everyone hits mind. If you got Jedi and Pikmen/LLC-BH’s, assign Action as the target. Of course not everyone have the ability to target the assigned HAM-bar, so the rest will have to make random HAM-bar hits. Again, NO area/cone attacks what so ever.

Tanks: The job of the Tanks is to use /taunt on ALL mobs that attacks the group. Tanks need to make sure that no mob attacks anyone else in the group. And as a tank you often have to /taunt several mobs at a time. You’re there to take the damage, not to do damage. Remember that. Once the tanks get a bit familiar with the Bunker, and the placement of the mobs, try to keep the mobs 6-7 meters ahead of the rest of the group.

Combat Medic: This job is also very demanding. You need to make sure that everyone is at good health. Don’t hesitate to throw an extra area stimpack. Unpack a lot of area stimpacks, and throw them like you were throwing candy at kids in a kindergarden. Always be ready to mindheal a team member if they take a mindhit. Stay in the center of the group, and stay clear of attacking anything. You’re not doing the fighting, but making sure the group can.

Jedi: The job of the Jedi is to do the main damage. Lightsabers will inflict 10 times the damage of any rifleman. Bring the saber that fits the HAM-bar that’s been assigned as the target. Polearm for Action, 1-hand for Mind and so on. Jedi is a double-edged sword. You can deal TONS of damage, but you’re as fragile as a glass. Make sure you ALWAYS have Brandy, Exo-Protein and Pikatta Pie in your stomach. These foods will save your neck. Despite what you are used to, do NOT heal yourself when you get hit. Use your self-healing abilities as a last resort only. The main issue you will have is your Forcebar. If you heal yourself, you’ll be out of force so fast. Remember, that you will need force to attack. And you will be attacking almost constantly for hours. If a Jedi has the ability to heal Mindwounds, this will also be of great help to your CM. Since Mindhealing will give your CM serious Mindwounds.

Channel Force is your best friend. Channel almost constantly. When fighting a SBD, channel once or twice. As those does not have area attacks. But don’t use it excessively – getting below 1500 mind is not adviceable. Be a bit more careful when around Humanoids and normal Battle Droids. These guys have area attacks, and they can hit VERY hard. Yes, they can kill you in 1 hit. I tried that on one occasion. So, don’t heal yourself. Let the CM do that. After all, that’s his/her job. Try to stay 6-7 meters away from the mob you are fighting, as all area attacks by enemies have a 6 meter range.

Riflemen/Pikemen/Bh/The remaining group: Stick to the group. Even if you are Rifleman, act like you were melee. That means up close and personal. Never go more than 10m away from the leader, unless you are specifically told to. Acid/Electricity damage vs Droids Energy vs Humanoids

    The Group:

This is about Teamwork. If anyone goes rogue, it may very well kill the entire group. Use a Voice-Com program (i.e. Teamspeak). You will need to coordinate a group of 6-20 people and you need to react fast if/when something happens. Text based chat simply won’t do. Make the tanks assign targets. Coordination between the Tanks is a must. So they can plan ahead about who will /taunt which mob and so on. The co-leader should control the Tanks and be the guy who will do the looting. Since the guy that does the looting, will also loot the keys needed to unlock Locked door no. 2, 3 and 4. So it has to be someone who knows the map and the bunker. Knowledge of where the mobs are and what mobs you will be facing next will speed up the trip thru the bunker. The leader should be the guy that NOBODY goes more than 10m away from. Everyone goes where the leader goes. Unless told differently by the co-leader who controls the “frontline”. Again, good teamwork between the leader and the co-leader is a must.

    The start

The leader(s) needs a map. Leemeg from FanStar has made an excellent map, which I have modified a bit.
    Death Watch Bunker Map

    http://www.imagedump.com/index.cgi?pick=get&tp=181436&poll_id=0&warned=y

Use this as your guidance. It will be needed until the leader(s) can coordinate everything within the bunker by memory. Remember one important thing – EVERYTHING inside the bunker has 4 minutes respawn time!

I’ll be using this map in order to explain how to get thru the bunker in this guide, with references to the Mappoints, displayed with numbers. These are the numbers I will be using.
So, now you have your team, and everyone has what they need.
In order to even enter the Bunker Complex itself, 1 member of the group has to unlock the door found at Mappoint 2. In order to unlock this door, 1 person has to take the Death Watch Bunker mission from Boba Fett. Boba Fett is found inside the Throne Room of Jabba’s Palace at Tatooine (-5856,-6183). This should be done by the leader(s). Once you have talked to Boba Fett, you are now ready for the bunker itself.

Go to Endor Smugglers Outpost, and bike to the bunker (-4680, 4330).

Now Finally, the Death Watch Bunker. Move your way down to Mappoint 2, and get the leader to unlock the door from the terminal. (If anyone without the mission from Boba Fett tries to use the terminal, the alarm will go and mobs will spawn on top of you) Stick close, and move your way down to Mappoint 4. Note that there’s a loot-bin at Mappoint 3, but just touching it, will spawn a SBD. But you may be lucky and loot a Jetpack component from the loot-bin. Once you get to Mappoint 4, the co-leader/looter goes to the terminal, and alerts Security.

Rageon Vart This guy will spawn inside the room close to Mappoint 4 with a few mobs. He is the one carrying the key needed to unlock the door at Mappoint 4. Once you kill him, the co-leader/looter has to loot him to gain the key. Once you have the key, hurry to the terminal, unlock the door and move out of the room.
    But be careful.
Straight forward thru the door, there’s a SBD. This can however easily be avoided. Make sure your group WALKS. Then turn left just before the SBD. Once the group gets familiar with it, you can avoid that SBD every time. Continue now towards Mappoint 7, using the shortest route possible. Once you get to Mappoint 7 you can choose 2 ways. Either you continue straight ahead thru the room from the way you came from, or you take the door in the Upper Right Corner inside that room (Eastern Corner on the map).
You need to get to Mappoint 9. But everyone believes that they have to go thru Mappoint 8. This is however not needed. If you take the door at the Upper Right Corner at Mappoint 7, and continue ahead until you get to Mappoint 11, you can access the Control Terminal (Mappoint 9) from the back. This saves precious time and effort, as you can avoid fighting 2-3 SBD’s.
At Mappoint 11, there’s a coalbin. Just touching it will spawn a SBD. But again, you may get lucky and loot a jetpack component from the coalbin.
Co-leader alerts security at Mappoint 9, and then a tank draws the mobs that spawns between Mappoint 8 and 9 into the room where everyone is standing (Mappoint 11).

Klin Nif This is the guy that holds the key for the second locked door. (Mappoint 12). He will spawn at Mappoint 8, but a Tank can easily taunt him to your group, and avoid the SBD’s right next to him. Kill him, loot him, and unlock the door using the key on the terminal at Mappoint 9.

Move fast thru the door, and kill the mobs at the top-level inside the next room. Move down the stairs, kill the few mobs there as well, and continue down the long stairs to the bottom of the room. Get everyone in behind the “Fence” at the bottom of the stairs, and kill the mobs there.
(As a side-note, if you are aiming for killing the Overlord at Mappoint 28, you should send one guy into Mappoint 17, and tell him to STAY there. Will explain this later) Move towards Mappoint 22, and you’ll meet the last locked door. Move backwards thru Mappoint 23, towards Mappoint 24. Alert security at Mappoint 24, and move back towards Mappoint 23. If you’re careful, you can access the security terminal, without aggroing the SBD just next to it.

This is the hardest of the Key-spawns. Security will consist of 2 SBD’s, 4 Death Watch Wraiths and Fenri Dalso.

Fenri Dalso Kill him and the mobs with him, loot him for the key and then move back towards Mappoint 24, unlock the door, then proceed towards Mappoint 22.
Mappoint 22 is the point where you enter The Mines.
As soon as you enter The Mines, you will get a message about “The poisonous Alum fumes burns your lungs, leaving you gulping for air”. This is because you haven’t done the Re-breather quest. But since the Alum Fumes doesn’t affect buffed players what so ever, I won’t get into the re-breather quest. Just ignore the message. J
This was basically how to get thru all the locked doors in order to enter The Mines.
Now I’ll split up the guide, as you can now do 3 different things.

    1) The Death Watch Overlord The Overlord is the only mob within the bunker that can drop the Jetpack Stabilizer. It’s a 100% dropchance, and we have even looted 2 on the same kill. He can also drop a Blood Vial (explanation will come later), If you are after killing the Overlord, you don’t need to enter the mines at all. Because of that you don’t need to alert security at Mappoint 24 either. Move towards Mappoint 25.
As I mentioned earlier, you should have 1 person from your group waiting at Mappoint 17. Once the group gets to Mappoint 25, you will see a cute little droid. You can also see your group mate standing at Mappoint 17.
That guy you left is standing in front of a Voice Control Terminal. This terminal controls the little cute droid. The guy now has to direct the droid using voice-commands (spatial chat) to control it. He has to be right in front of the terminal. It’s pretty simple, and just examine the terminal for the list of commands.
Get him to move the droid to Mappoint 26. There’s some Debris there, which prevents you from getting thru the door at Mappoint 28. When the droid is in front of the debris, get him to detonate it. Now you can enter the room.
Inside that room is a Clearance Terminal to prevent the debris from re-spawning. Quickly activate that terminal, and get your tanks to draw the Overlord and the other mobs inside the room out into the big room. It will be easier to control the situation that way.
Kill him and loot him for the Jetpack Stabilizer.
There’s also an Overlord at Mappoint 31, but he is much harder to kill, due to the sheer number of SBD’s and various other mobs protecting him.

    2) The Foreman’s Quest (Miners Quest) This quest is without any doubt the hardest and most difficult quest within SWG. Don’t attempt this quest unless you got an experienced team.

Once you have entered The Mines, move towards Mappoint 30 and talk to the Foreman to begin the quest. Make sure that only the co-leader/looter talks to the miner. Only 1 person can “represent” the group in the quest anyway.
When talking to the Foreman, he will tell you to locate Haldo.
Haldo is a Crazed Miner, and can be found at several places. He is found at Mappoint 32. Note that I have added an extra Mappoint 32, because that was where our group found him. The most secure way is to do /Target Haldo once in a while to locate his exact position. Locate Haldo, and get the co-leader/looter (the guy with the mission) to attack him. DO NOT DIZZY/KD HIM! It can bug the mission. When you attack Haldo he becomes “white” and you can now talk to him.
Now you need to pickup an Alum Sickness Cure for Haldo. The cure is found at Mappoint 6.
Remember, that this part of the quest has a timer. You need to talk to the Medical Droid at Mappoint 6, and return with the cure to Haldo within 1 hour! Don’t fall down the chair yet. You have already unlocked all the doors, so you just need to move to Mappoint 6, using the shortest way possible and back again. Of course you have to kill the mobs that you meet on the way.
Once you return to Haldo with the cure he gives you a Dirty Battery in return.
Return the Dirty Battery to The Foreman at Mappoint 30.
He will then tell you to clean it. Move to Mappoint 5, and talk to the Workshop Droid. The droid will then replace the Dirty Battery with a clean one. Deliver the Clean Battery to the Foreman at Mappoint 30.

He will then tell you to go and set the Water Pumps. The Water Pumps are located at Mappoint 13, 14, 15 and 16. Move your group to the Pumps, and you will see 4 terminals. Switch all 4 terminals so they are all glowing GREEN. Then move back to the Foreman at Mappoint 30 to complete the quest.

Upon completion of the Foreman’s Quest you will receive the Alum Minerals. The Foreman will also tell you that he might be able to get more of those Alum Minerals.
The guy, who completed the quest, can from now on get a FREE Alum Mineral every 3.rd day. All you have to do is go and talk to the Foreman and you get it placed in your inventory.

    3) Crafting a Jetpack/Mandalorian Armor Part If you already have all the components needed to craft either a Jetpack or a part of the Mandalorian armor, you can skip The Foreman and move directly towards the Crafting Rooms (Mappoint 33, 34 and 35). Remember you need the Alum Minerals in order to gain access to any the Crafting Rooms. If your group has already finished the quest, you can of course stop by The Foreman and pickup a free one.

I’m going to describe how to craft a Mandalorian Armor Helmet, and how to craft a Jetpack.
If you want to craft another armor part, it’s the same procedure.
If you want to craft a Chestplate, you need an Armorsmith, and you need to access the Armorsmith’s Crafting Room. And you then need a Bounty Hunter Chestplate, instead of a Helmet. It’s basically the same concept for all the parts.

Let’s start with the Jetpack. Move your team towards Mappoint 34. Make sure that your Master Droid Engineer has all the parts needed to open the door (as described in “Items needed for Crafting”). Also make sure that your Master Artisan has all the items needed for the Jetpack. (Also described in “Items needed for Crafting”).

Upon arrival at the door to the Droid Engineer’s Crafting Room get your MDE to unlock the door using the Terminal next to it. As soon as he unlocks the door, your group has 5 MINUTES INSIDE THE ROOM before everyone will get booted out to the entrance of the bunker!

Move inside the room and go up the stairs to the 1.st floor. The map I’m using has an error, as there is actually a 2.nd floor within the Droid Engineer’s Crafting Room as well.
Once everyone is at the 1.st floor, tell your Master Artisan to move towards the Jetpack Crafting Droid/Mandalorian Forge on that floor. As soon as everyone is ready, tell him to start putting the items into the Jetpack Crafting droid (This is simply drag ‘n’ drop). As soon as he drops in the first item into the droid, mobs will spawn. But only the ones on your floor will actually attack you. Make sure to quickly taunt every mob and MAKE SURE YOUR CRAFTER IS NOT ATTACKED!

Once the Artisan has dropped all items into the Droid, he needs to move fast. Use the Mandalorian Forge next to the droid (looks like a Bounty Hunter Terminal). After dropping the last item into the droid, the Artisan has 30 seconds to activate the first of two processes from the terminal. It’s quite simple, just activate it and select Continue on the menu that pops up. You now again has 30 seconds to start the second process. Access the terminal once more, and select “Continue” once more. (Note you cannot select “Cancel” in these popups).
After a few seconds, the process should be done, and you got yourself a deed for a brand new Jetpack in your inventory.

Upon completion of the crafting process, the ENTIRE group will be booted outside the bunker.
So you save a long trip to get out, but you can only craft 1 item at a time.

The Jetpack is in fact a fancy bike. So it has the same rules as a bike. It goes into your datapad as a vehicle deed. You cannot shoot from it. It decays at around the same speed as a normal Speederbike. It is targetable! But it’s very cool to fly. And quite fast actually. Once you call it, you will automatically mount it. If you dismount, it will also store instantly.

Now for the Mandalorian Armor Helmet Again, move your group towards the Droid Engineer’s Crafting Room (Mappoint 34). Make sure you MDE have the items needed to craft the Helmet (as described earlier). Since the items needed to unlock the door are also needed in the crafting process, it should be quite simple.
Unlock the door, and move the entire group up the stairs to the 2.nd floor.
Remember, that once the door is unlocked, YOU HAVE 5 MINUTES INSIDE THE ROOM! Get the MDE to go to the crafting droid on the 2.nd floor, but get your entire team ready before the MDE puts any items into the droid. As a side-note, don’t crowd the droid, as it can be difficult to target for the drag ‘n’ drop then. Once the first item is dropped into the droid, mobs will spawn. Yet again, MAKE SURE YOUR CRAFTER IS NOT ATTACKED!

Once all the items are in the droid the MDE has 30 seconds to start the first of two processes from the Mandalorian Forge next to the droid. Access the terminal, and select Continue when you get a popup message. Then you again got 30 seconds to activate the next process. Access the terminal and select Continue once more.
After a few seconds, the crafting is complete, and the item is placed in your inventory.
You cannot select the color of the armor. It WILL be random.

NOTE! Only the crafter will be booted out after crafting a piece of Mandalorian Armor. The rest of the group will be left inside the crafting room. But take it easy. As I mentioned earlier, you will only be allowed 5 minutes inside the crafting room. Once those 5 minutes has passed, the ENTIRE group will be booted out to the bunker entrance. So you don’t have to fight your way out. J Enjoy your new armor part!

    Important Additional Info

Inside the bunker you will quickly notice that Filling is bugged. You stomach filling is decaying VERY slowly. So you really need to plan ahead. Get or make some Brandy with VERY long duration. Since my alt is a Chef, I made some with 57:00 duration, 370 power and 50% filling. Even with that high duration, the filling still doesn’t decay fast enough to be able to doublestack when the first 2 runs out. So be sure you have some food or are able to keep your mind up using only 1 brandy.

    Factional Quests

Both Rebel and Imperials has Factional quests inside the bunker. Since I am Imperial, I have no clue where to start the Rebel quest, but I know that the person you need to talk to inside the bunker to complete it, is at Mappoint 29. For Imperials, you can obtain a mission to get a blood sample from the Mandalorians, to make some improved Stormtroopers. This blood sample is the Blood Vial I mentioned in the Overlord section.
The mission is started by talking to Commander D’krn at Bestine (-1158,-3526). The reward for returning the Blood Vial to him is just 500 faction points. So not really worth the trouble. No badge or anything.

Remember - The Death Watch Bunker can be a very fun place for high-end PVE. I’ve never had so much fun with my Jedi Knight in months when talking about PVE.
This is about having fun. The more you try this, the more experienced you and your group get. And then the fun begins.

I would like to thank the entire SarDuKar guild for making this possible. Only 1 month after we started to take interest in the Death Watch Bunker, we have crafted both a Jetpack and a Mandalorian Armor Helmet. Both items were made within 4 days of each other.
We have made some videos of the trips to the bunker.

Video 1: SDK doing the Foreman’s Quest. Movie1
300 MB file – DivX format. (16 minutes)

    Video 2: SDK makes a Jetpack. Movie2
200 MB file – DivX format. (13 minutes)

Video 3: SDK makes a Mandalorian Armor Helmet. Movie3
270 MB file – DivX format. (17 minutes)

Yes, I know the movies are a bit big. It’s good quality, and with very nice music that really displays the mood we were all in. It also displays how well a small group can work together to conquer the bunker. Our team that went to craft the Helmet only consisted of 9 people. And we were out with a Helmet in our inventory within 1 hour. Download them. They’re quite nice.

For the record, SDK is the first guild on Chimaera-Europe to craft both a Jetpack and a piece of Mandalorian Armor. This is the 2.nd Mandalorian Armor part, and the 4.th Jetpack made on the Chimaera Server.
Hope more guilds will attempt to try out the Death Watch Bunker with the help from this guide. If you have any info that I have missed/gotten wrong, please let me know.
Suggestions are of course welcome. Enjoy the fun – Hope this guide will help.

  • CORVETTE COMPLETE GUIDE

  • By:Author JashoTheMaster

    http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=game_guides&message.id=202276

FIRST AND FORMOST I WOULD LIKE TO THANK LoneWolf24k WHOM I BLATENTLY RIPPED OFF BY COPYING THE FIRST PART OF THIS GUIDE FROM HIS POST, HE HAD DONE SUCH A FANTASTIC JOB ON THE STARTING WAYPOINTS FOR THE MISSIONS AND GATHERING OTHER INFORMATION, I SAW NO POINT IN DGOING BACK AND REWRITING IT MYSELF, THE GUIDES THEMSELVES HOWEVER ARE MY HANDYWORK, I HOPE THIS HELPS EVERYONE OUT THERE.

Be sure to look at the links page at the bottom of this post for more additional information. Under links I will have a MAPS part setup as well.

IMPORTANT: LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE ASKED
Q: HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN YOU TAKE?
A: A GROUP OF 10 IS THE MAX YOU CAN TAKE IN THE CORVETTE

To get the ticket you need to do the following:
    1) Talk to the initiator at the locs below.
    2) They will give you three places to look to get the evidence they need
    - Note: Technically, you only need to do one of the 3 options the initiator gives you to get the ticket. But it has to be the -right- one. You can do one of them and get a wrong item, come back and get some faction and be told to go off and check the other two spots.
    3) Go to the appropriate Shuttleport and have the ticket holder use his ticket. At that point the rest of the group is asked if they want to go. Click yes if you want to go.

    Imperial:
    Destroy Mission:

    Lt. Velso: Emperor’s retreat, Naboo (2405, -3967)
1st - The codes in anchorhead (134, -5349) are found in a container next to the reb recruiter in the cantina.

2nd - Dantooine - The Dantooine Location is the Janta Stronghold (7197, -4090). Find the drum near the bottom of the cave. It is in the only item that isn't a mag-seal container. it is also next to a mag-seal container

3rd - Erran Sif (2143, -5649) on Talus one level on a table "I had to search, it was directly in front of me as I came into the second room"

    Assassination mission:

Lt Sabol: Tatooine, Bestine (-1291 -3539)
1st - Afarah Cave (Corellia) located in the cave outside of Kor Vela (-2557 3005) - **it is located if your at the chair, turn facing away and walk into containers..one of the black one will have a search option on it.

2nd - Abandoned Rebel Base (Dantooine) (-6676 5557) - **as you go in the gate the building on your right just inside has it in a black container that has search option in radial.

Take the left branch. Bring armor, pixie, and vercupti or buffs and/or friends. It's not too hard to get down there. Just burst past all the droidekas and keep the storage container selected. Search it and run.

2nd - Rogue Corsec Base: Corellia, (5200 1600) (i think). Its in the smaller multilevel building again at the very bottom. Type /target storage to select.

When you enter the cave, in the first large open area if you look at the overhead map (Ctrl+M) you will see a small cove on one side. There is a decayed/destroyed container there, do a search on it. You don't have to go down and kill the protector or the elder (though that was fun!).

    NOW FOR THE WALKTHROUGHS

    THE CORVETTE DESTROY MISSION

Basically there are 6 things to do in order to complete this quest: Get the codes, Unlock the Elevator, Set the Fuel, Set the Hyper Drive, Set the Engines, Use the Escape Pod

    1.) Get the Codes

the only required code for this particular mission is The Bridge Code, it is obtained by....

from the begining of the ship, make the first right, take it to the juncture, make a left to the elevator, take it up, make the first right, open the chest in this room to get OPERATIONS DISK #4.

Take the elevator back down, go straight across into the "computer room" turn right, in the far left corner is a computer, use the disk to restart it, then use the computer again to obtain the Bridge Code

    2.) Unlock the elevator

this can be a little "tricky" and time consuming, but not if you know this highly regarded and very little known trick...(even a lot of the "Vette Masters" I've seen on these forums don't know this one hehe)

from the begining...go straight.....take the elevator going down....make a right off the elevator, take the first right, then a left into the hallway....here to the left you will see a door with a keypad on it....this is the room that has the elevator unlocking terminal

Now here's the trick: 90% of the time you can look into the room, but if you try to go into it, you will be pushed out and often killed.....so moving very carefully, position yourself in the doorway at an angle facing the terminal....be sure not to go too far in as it will throw you out and may result in death or incap...when you are at a good enough angle click the terminal and Voila....the elevator is unlocked....about 10 mins saved right there..

Barring that trick there are 2 other ways to go about it, the first is the "real" or "correct" way to do it

what you are supposed to do is:

find the defunct droid, retrieve a part from it, goto the SBD room on the right side of the ship, take the stairs down in this room...go into the next room, fix the droid, he will turn off the electricity, and then get the code to unlock the Elevator terminal room, I don't have directions for this, as I NEVER use this method

the other way is a variation of this, instead of getting the droid part, go directly to the SBD room, down the stairs, and into the next room, look at the 2 droids googly eyed as you run through the electricity, and try to hit the terminal to get the code before you are incapped or killed by the currents coursing through your burned, scorched flesh...good luck with this method.....if you are succesful on your first attempt at this though....it does shave about 5mins off your time

    3.) Set the Fuel

The Fuel Terminal needs to be set to the HIGHEST setting.....when it is clicked a popup will come up with 3 numbers at the bottom,
something like 40 60 80 no matter what numbers come up, always choose the HIGHEST one

the Fuel Terminal is located at: from the begining...go straight.....take the elevator going down....make a right off the elevator, take the first right, then a left into the hallway....take this straight into the SBD room....take the stairway there up, cross the platform and go into the room there....the Fuel Terminal is located at the back of this room

    4.) Set the Hyper Drive

The Hyper Drive needs to be set to the LOWEST setting.....you will see a simiar popup to the one for the Fuel....except this time choose the LOWEST number

the Hyper Drive is located at: from the begining...go straight.....take the elevator going down....make a right off the elevator, take the first right, turn right, and take the tunnel going toward the front of the ship....this leads to a circular room with 5 halls leading off it... take the hall leading straight up....the Hyper Drive is located in this room to the right

    5.) Set the Engines

The Engines need to be set to the LOWEST setting.....you will see a simiar popup to the one for the Fuel....except this time choose the LOWEST number

the Engine is located at: from the begining...go straight.....take the elevator going down....make a right off the elevator, take the first right, turn right, and take the tunnel going toward the front of the ship....this leads to a circular room with 5 halls leading off it... take the hall leading straight up....into the Hyper Drive room.....continue straight forward down the long hallway, at the juncture make a left....

this is the elevator you unlocked earlier, take it up.. off the elevator go left, and make the first left....there is another hallway here with doors that have keypads on either side, and a door at the end

go to the door at the end, use the keypad here, input the Bridge Code you aquired at the beggining, inside the next room on the left is the Engines Control

    MISSION COMPLETE

Exit the ship fast to get the badge and reward

    6.) Use the Escape Pod

simply use the first escape pod you come across to exit the ship, they are the big yellow buttons found at the ends of the long dark corridors located along the edges of the ship

if you are unsure of where to find one......from the begining, make the first left, go straight into the dark corridor, make a left, hit the big yellow buttom

You have now beaten the Corellian Corvette

Return to whoever gave you the mission to get your reward

My fastest time completing the mission and looting all items it 12 minutes, verified by the 8 people that went along with me and kicked back in the clone room while I ran the mission

Also as a side note: I wrote all this from memory so if there are any descrepencies I am sorry

I hope you find this helpful

    THE CORVETTE ASSASSINATION MISSION

A word of advise.....take plenty of Commando's with you on this mission

Basically there are 4 things to do in order to complete this quest: Get the Portside code, Unlock the Elevator, Kill the General, Use the Escape Pod

    1.) Get the Portside Code

the only code required for this mission is The Portside Code, it is obtained by....
from the begining...go straight.....take the elevator going down....make a right off the elevator, take the first right, turn right, and take the tunnel going toward the front of the ship....this leads to a circular room with 5 halls leading off it... take the upper left most hall, make a right, enter the room and use the computer located here

    3.) Kill the General

The General in question here has a HAM of around 250k and 80% resists to everything except Heat and Blast

He is located at: from the begining...go straight.....take the elevator going down....make a right off the elevator, take the first right, turn right, and take the tunnel going toward the front of the ship....this leads to a circular room with 5 halls leading off it... take the hall leading straight up....into the Hyper Drive room.....continue straight forward down the long hallway, at the juncture make a left....

this is the elevator you unlocked earlier, take it up.. off the elevator go left, and make the first left....there is another hallway here with doors that have keypads on either side, and a door at the end

go to the first door on the left, use the keypad here, input the Portside Code you aquired at the beggining, inside the next room is the General, he usually has about 2-4 other people in the room with him, and he is EXTREMLY hard to kill.......

    MISSION COMPLETE

Exit the ship fast to get the badge and reward

    4.) Use the Escape Pod

simply use the first escape pod you come across to exit the ship, they are the big yellow buttons found at the ends of the long dark corridors located along the edges of the ship

if you are unsure of where to find one......from the begining, make the first left, go straight into the dark corridor, make a left, hit the big yellow buttom

    THE CORVETTE RESCUE MISSION

Basically there are 4 things to do in order to complete this quest: Unlock the Elevator, Get the Prison Cell Code, Talk to the Prisoners, Use the Escape Pod

    1.) Unlock the elevator

continue on til you get to an elevator going down, take the elevator down, follow the hallway, make a left, go down the long passage and into the dark room there, then use the terminal in here to the right to get the code

    3.) Talk to the Prisoners

First you need to unlock the Prison Cell using the code then go in and talk to each prisoner

The Prison Cell is located at: from the begining...go straight.....take the elevator going down....make a right off the elevator, take the first right, turn right, and take the tunnel going toward the front of the ship....this leads to a circular room with 5 halls leading off it... take the hall leading straight up....into the Hyper Drive room.....continue straight forward down the long hallway, at the juncture make a left....

Heh.....you want me to give away ALL my secrets??? lol

OK as far as the looting of the Corvette......here goes:

    LOOTING THE CORVETTE

There are 4 loot drops total on the Vette: 3 Armoires and a defunct droid(not the parts droid used to unlock the elevator)

To get to these drops follow these instuctions

    Loot Drop 1:

From the Begining, make the first right, go straight, take a left and enter the elevator going up, go striaght off the elevator and make the SECOND right, this room is filled with SBD's and has an armoire on the far wall, Loot it

    Loot Drop 2 & 3:

From the begining, go straight and take the elevator down, go right, then turn right, and follow the passage to the circular room with 5 halls leading off it, take the upper right most hall and at the end of it turn right, go into the little closet room there, it is also filled with SBD's and there is another armoire here, and the defunct droid, Loot them both

    Loot Drop 4:

This is the hardest to get to as it requires a passcode, The Armory Code

To get it go, from the begining, make the first right, go straight, make a right and enter the "computer room" turn left and check the right most computer for the Armory Code

to get to the Armory, go, from the begining, go straight, take the elevator down, go right, turn right again, take that to the circular room with the 5 hallways, take the top most hallway leading toward the front of the ship, go straight, at the crossway keep going straight into a large room, on the far wall behind a wall of lockers or crates is a door that has a keypad on it, use the Armory Code here, enter the armory and turn right, on the far wall is another Armoire, loot it

Usually in these drops you'll get crap like a Crash & Burn spice, an FWG5 Pistol, a Rykk Blade, Bantha Doll or various other types of useless crap...........

but every once in a while, heh you get lucky, and that is the point of all this madness.......

the things you are looking for are:

First and foremost The AV-21 Power Plant (In my experience it spawns 1 in every 10 trips you take on the Vette)

The Beserker Stabalizer (this spawn is a little more frequent than the Power Plant, but not much)

and Finally, The Beserker Schematic (this seems to be the most frequent of the "Good" loot)

Good luck to you all and happy looting

    More guides coming soon

This is the end of my Corvette walthrough series....I hope this helps you guys out, and I hope this is legible with the mass amounts of information listed

Soloing Vette Neutral rescue mission Very doable.

Just did it about an hour ago. I was ridign along w a friend who was doing the destroy for a couple of guildies who need content badges. While walking around avoiding SBDs it occured to me that the areas where you need to go for rescue are realtively SBD free soo I got the ticket and tried it. Worked exactly how I expected. I'm guessing that this can only be done w Neutral as the Mobs are only level 25 withe exception of the SBD's. OK so heres the basics, Im not writing a full walk through of exactly how to do the rescue as it has already been done 9really well in fact) and you can find it on the forums here.

    1. You will die in the room where you retrieve the door code thats inevitable becasue there is a SBD standing there howver both times I've been in the room so far I've had plenty of time to radial the console and get code. Plus w no more decay there who cares right.

    2. Kill all the Corsecs that agro you, this is a must because you cant converse while in combat (agroed) and you need to talk to the prisoners to finish mission.

    3. Sorry but unless you bring a Jedi w/ avoid incap or force cloak you cant get the loot. this is more ofr people who need a content badge.

Ok took me about 20-30 minutes total but I was hunting down all the Corsecs I could hoping for a decnet AA or CA. Admitedly not as good as the pre cu destroy and get all loot in 5 min but hey.....hope it helps someone

PS its 2 am here and im tired if my grammar sux Im sorry.

  • Emote's Ultimate Loot Guide - Version 1.3

  • By/Author: Emotemaster AKA Itossic

    http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=game_guides&message.id=280277

Welcome to Emotemaster's Ultimate Loot Guide that is sure to be much longer than my fingers want it to be. (Sorry about some of it being double-spaced! Stupid forums ). Please let me know if you spot an error, one of my pleas for help, or if you don't see a MOB or NPC (That you know drops good loot) on my list!
There are going to be 2 sections:
    I. What you need
II. What to kill, and where to find it
    t
Now, sit back, relax, and please do not stand up until the house lights come on.
    Part One: What you need
First of all, you need to have a template, if you don't already have one. I personally suggest swordsman, because you have a high damage output, good defense, and almost nothing in the game is 100% resist to you. TKM and fencer are about tied for last place in this guide, but if you can't live without them, you can try (Tons of kinetic and stun resist on high level MOBs, not to mention low to horrid damage output). On that note, it will be extremely dificult to solo anything besides gun-toting NPCs without a tank.
I'm not going to go into template advice in this post, mainly because there are an average of 5,432,093 posts about templates on every combat profession forum. So hop over there and do a quick search or browse a little bit. However, I have two suggestions. Master Brawler. Not only do you get intimidate 2 and warcry 2, but you also get very valuable Speed and Accuracy mods. Medic. So you can use stims. Very handy. I'll let you decide how much you want to getThis is all I'm going to say on the subject of templates at this time...
    Supplies:
You will need various supplies if you even dream about succeding in your quest of becoming a Loot **self-edit**
The absolutely most required you can't fight a durni without them have a R in front of it.
R 4 Piece Suit [Helmet, Chestplate, Gloves, Boots] of 80%+ Kinetic Composite Armor (If you can get good Base resists, that's good for NS and other NPCs)
R Crate of Vasarian Brandy, Preferably 400+ for over 45 minutes
    R Weapon
    RF A little patience
R Vehicle (preferably Swoop, get a few if you can just in case one gets destroyed)
    R Enough Credits for buffs
R Crates of Stimpacks (highest you can use)
    * Canapes and Systeak
    * Uberest weapon ever seen in the game
All right.. You're ready to start huntin'!
Part Two: What to kill, and where to find it
This section is a list organized by type of MOB (e.g. Krayt Dragons, Nym's Minions, NightSisters). Pretty much everything drops crap weapons and loot kit parts, so I'm not going to put those in.

  • Empire Day

The Empire and the Rebellion will have dispatched public relations officers to answer questions and to promote their faction's vision of the holiday. If you are Imperial or Neutral, you can find the Imperial Public Relations Officer at Nashal, Talus at waypoint 4311, 5187. He'll be happy to tell you more.

If you lean more towards the Rebellion, or are Neutral, you can shuttle to the Cantina in Anchorhead. Ask around until you find someone willing to tell you the truth of this fateful day.

Whichever path you choose, a small adventure will follow. While no combat is required, you may have to travel to some dangerous places, but if you travel cautiously you should be alright. See it to the end and you will receive a token of appreciation for your services. If you pay attention and play your cards correctly and you might be able to acquire two mementos.

Star Wars Galaxies - Hunting the Painted Spat, Bane Back Spider and Murra Blanca
    Synopsis:

This guide describes locating, killing and obtaining the trophies for the 3 new Elite Creatures available to ALL Star Wars Galaxies players. The creatures are located on Talus and Dathomir. All but the Bane Back Spider are in realtively safer areas. All are on a 5-10 minute spawn timer depending on your server.

    Reward:

    Bane Back Spider Trophy

    Painted Spat Trophy

    Murra Blanca Trophy

    Requirements:

Star Wars Galaxies - NO OTHER EXPANSIONS OR UPGRADES NECESSARY - NOT EVEN JTL

    Time to Complete:

20-30 minutes. Less if you are High CL and have JTL more if you are not
    Can Be Completed Solo:

Yes. CL72+ if using good tactics.
    Group Required:

    No.
    Details on Needed Group:

Good ROOT ability and damage dealers for the Bane Back spiders otherwise even low CL groups can handle this.

    Mobs and CL ratings:

    Murra Blanca - CL30 - HAM 9050

    Painted Spat - CL30 - HAM 8800

    Bane Back Spider - CL80 - HAM 18360

    Known Bugs:

    NONE
    Walkthrough:

    Phase I - Murra Blanca

Travel to Narshal Starport on Talus. Take a shuttle to the city nearest the Kahmurra Genetics Lab in the Southwest area of Talus. On Bloodfin the town of O-P-P-ortunity is 100m from the Genetics lab.

Head to the genetics lab and look for the Mob Named Murra Blanca. Kill it and loot the trophy.

If it is not spawned when you arrive it is on a 5 to 10 minute timer. Hang around and it will spawn. Careful of the other Kahmurra mobs.

    Phase II - Painted Spat

Return to Nashal Starport. Head west out of the city to WP 911 4643 (about 3500m). Once you approach the WP you should see 3 red Mobs. THese are the painted spats. They are easy prey for a high CL toon. THere is a statue near them in case they are in the process of respawning. Kill them and loot the painted spat trophy from each.

Phase III - Bane Back Spider

Returnt to Nashal Starport. Travel to the northern trade outpost on Dathomir. Enter the water near the outpost and follow it around till the WP -1200 6250 is due west. Now cross the land to the WP. This is the Spider Clan Clave so careful you should be when approach it you do

On the Northwestern slope of the valley west of the cave (10 to 15m) there will be 3 spiders spawned named the Bane Back Spider. They are CL80 and take a bit to take down. Plus you have the other nasty mobs to worry about. For some reason there is rarely any mobs in the valley itself so I recc using a ranged weapon or other ability to lure the spiders away from the core area 1 at a time. Take them down (armor break abilities are key here as are ROOT abilities) and loot each for the bane back spider trophy.

    Congrats... all done.

    Notes:

None of these give badges in case anyone is wondering. IMHO the Murra Blanca Trophy is the best.

    Addendum:

    06-25-2005

The Murra Blanca and Spat sites on Bloodfin are being farmed for the trophies pretty heavily. If the people doing it are AFK /tell a CSR and have them dealt with. YEAH.. YEAH... let the flames begin. People... AFK LEVELING is one thing on common mobs outside starports and such but loot farming AFK so you can't even let someone get a chance to take one down is WRONG. Sony agrees or they wouldn't warp people when they get caught doing it. Not to mention it is simply bad MANNERS!

    06-28-2005

Thanks to GettnBetterAB for the following update:
There is another Banes Back Spider spawn at 2995 -5135.

Please feel free to circulate or post/correct/completely rewrite this as you see fit. You may not republish this with the intent of selling it.

    Yavin IV Quests PART 1
    -----------------------------------------------------------------
Nagem Dr' Lar (Salvage Camp, Yavin IV, 5855, -336)
    -----------------------------------------------------------------
    Nagem Dr' Lar 1

"This is a restricted area.", Nagem Dr' Lar says to You. "You need to move along."

    You say: Restricted. By whom?
"The Imperials.", Nagem Dr' Lar says to You. "I am in charge of recovery operations around here. Lots of sensitive technology survived re-entry and I have been hired to recover as much as possible in this area."

You say: How much of a problem can it be? i mean not much could have survived.
Nagem Dr' Lar says to You, "We are talking about a fully armored moon! There are literally tons of parts scattered all over the planet. I barely have enough people to try and dig out an entrance to access the segment that caused this impact crater. But I am in charge of this whole quadrant. Between my people wandering off and criminals looking to make a quick credit scavenging the rest of the debris, I don't know how I am going to fulfill my contract."

You say: Can i help with anything?
"I have a worker who wandered off into the jungle.", Nagem Dr' Lar says to You. "His name is Jonna. If you can find him and bring him back I would be grateful."

You say: Sure. Any idea of where he would go?
"Thanks so much. You might want to start at an old work site of ours. He said he lost a family heirloom and he wanted to go back and search the old camp. Here are the coordinates.", Nagem Dr' Lar says to You.

Quest received: [Find Lost Worker] Nagem thinks the lost worker might have wandered off to an old work site looking for some lost heirloom.
Go to "work site" 5187 3046. 3380 m to north.

Task completed: [Find Lost Worker] You discovered a broken speeder and the remnants of a struggle. Looks like Nagem's man, Jonna, got ambushed and dragged himself off into the brush.

    Quest received: [Jonna's Bloody Trail]
    Goto "bloody trail" 5952 3051. 110 m east. 3 lvl76 mobs aggro you.

Task completed: [Jonna's Bloody Trail] Look's like Nagems friend Jonna was ambushed by some two-legged predators. Time to go back to let nagem know.

    Quest received: [Return to Nagem]

    /conv Nagem
"Did you find him?", Nagem Dr' Lar says to You.
You say: I found his body. Looks like he got in someone's way.

Nagem Dr' Lar says to You, "I was afraid of that. Looks like I need to get an Imperial security detail to safeguard my work site. But I appreciate your help. Here is something for your trouble."

Nagem Dr' Lar says to You, "Good to see you again. I need some more help. Interested?"

You say: Yes I would be pleased to help out.
Nagem Dr' Lar says to You, "A probe droid of mine found part of the hyperdrive intermix chamber still intact. But it's a few kilometers from here. The problem is that the Imps can't provide any extra security for me so I need to keep my people at the main work site. You interested in recovering it for me?"

You say: Just give me the coordinates and I'll be off.
"Here you go.", Nagem Dr' Lar says to You. "Be careful. The same scavengers that got Jonna are still on the loose. Take care of them if they get in your way."

Quest received: [Hyperdrive Intermix Chamber] Nagem's probe droid located an intact hyperdrive intermix chamber. You need to go and salavage it.
    Goto "hyperdrive debris" 6450 2800. 2530 m SE. 3 lvl70's spawn and attack.

Task completed: You got Nagem's hunk of scrap and took out some nasty customers in the process. Now get the junk back to Nagem.

    Quest received: [Return to Nagem]

    /conv Nagem
Nagem Dr' Lar says to You, "You got back quick. Any problems?"
You say: Ran into a small firefight, but we got through it alright.

"Good to hear that.", Nagem Dr' Lar says to You. "Here is a finder's fee for your services. Call if you need more work."

    Nagem Dr' Lar 3

"Things are getting a bit heated around here.", Nagem Dr' Lar says to You. "Interested in helping?"

You say: What do you mean heated?
Nagem Dr' Lar says to You, "There is a concerted effort by a gang of criminals to grab all of the salvage that they can find. My Imperial employers are not happy, but can't give me any troops to stop the thieves. They want me to put a stop to it, or they are going to pull my contract. Are you interested in helping me put an end to this?"

You say: Sure what do i need to do?
"A group of criminal leaders are meeting a few kilometers of here.", Nagem Dr' Lar says to You. "Wipe them out fast. That will send a message to other criminals to stay out of my quadrant, and it will let the Imperials know I can handle the job."

You say: Ok just let me know where they are.
"Here is the latest intel I got from my probe droid.", Nagem Dr' Lar says to You. "Hurry."

Quest received: [Kill Off Rivals]: Go to scavengers camp. Nagem's probe droids have located a band of scavengers.
    Goto "scavengers" 1000, 2000. 5380 m northwest. 3 lvl73 spawn.

Task completed: [Go to Scavengers' Camp]: You finished off the scavenger leadership. Now tell nagem the good news.

    Quest received: [Return to Nagem]

    /conv nagem
"Great job. Most of the independent criminals have scattered to the winds. The Hutts are a problem still, but the Imps are off my back so it's all good. Thanks so much.", Nagem Dr' Lar says to You.

You say: wasn't any problem. so what about some compensation?
Nagem Dr' Lar says to You, "Of course. Here you go. Thanks again. Now maybe we can concentrate on opening this hatchway up."

4000 credits have been successfully transferred to your account.

"Good to see you again.", Nagem Dr' Lar says to You. "Recovery efforts are going great. We think a major segment of the Death Star survived re-entry and crashed here. We are still working on getting this hatchway open."

Yith Seenath says to You, "Did High Command send you? We've just got some information that we need to move on. Wait, you're new. Sorry, I'm Sergeant Yith Seenath. I hope you're here to help out because we could sure use it. I need an Imperial courier intercepted and the orders he's carrying brought back to me. Think you can do that?"

    You say. Yes
Yith Seenath says to You, "Here are the coordinates. The courier is likely to have an escort, so be prepared for a fight. Good luck."

Get the encrypted orders from the imperial courier. Head to "Imperial Courier's Location". WP 6720, -2319.

Return to the person who gave you this task to receive your reward.

"Well done. Your efforts will make our work here much easier. Report back if you haven't gotten your fill of killing Imperials.", Yith Seenath says.

Reward: 50 credits have been deposited in your bank account.

Apparently Imperial High Command felt that Commander Byrne was not getting results quickly enough so they sent this brute to 'help things along.' We need this lieutenant taken out. Is that something you could do?", Yith Seenath says to You.

    You say: Yes.
"I'd advise you bring some friends along. This lieutenant doesn't go anywhere without two of his best men accompanying him. Good luck.", Yith Seenath says to You.

Take out the blood thirsty Lieutenant. Head to "Imperial Lieutenant's Location" WP -1976, 753.
4 lvl 33 Imps spawn and lvl 20 Imperial Lieutenant. Kill them. "Leave my sight, scum. Insurrectionists like you should be punished.", an Imperial First Lieutenant says to You.

    You say: Yes
Yith Seenath says to You, "It's a small warehouse but I'm sure it will be heavily guarded. After taking out the lieutenant in charge of such operations, I'd be expecting quite a fight. Prepare accordingly."

Destroy the munitions depot. Head to "Munitions Depot Location". WP 7237, -1368.

You say: What happened to your men?

My Recon team has encountered unexpected numbers and can't take care of themselves right now. Now, are you going to keep jabbering or are you going to go save some men?"

You say: Yes sir! I understand! i'll do it.
Capt. Eso says to You, "I'm glad I didn't have to repeat myself. Go to this location I put in your datapad and you'll find the troopers. If you get there quiet enough, you might be able to put a blaster through the backs of their skulls before they know what happened."

"Well now... Those Recon units sure know how to scout out an area. We've found a hidden triage camp out in the jungle. You know what we're going to do about it, right?", Capt. Eso says to You.

You say: Why aren't they being taken to a full hospital?
"In case you weren't looking, we're in the middle of a jungle! The Empire doesn't have time to set up shop and fixing their 'troopers, kid! Out here you throw on some bacta-soaked bandages and get back out into battle.", Capt. Eso says to You.

You say: Yes sir, I think i know. I'll help.
"You're blasted right you'll help. It's not everyday you can get a clear shot at the throat of the Empire. Go out there and take out their medic. Got it?", Capt. Eso says to You.

You say: What exactly is the "situation", sir?
Capt. Eso says to You, "You know how an infected wound starts to rot and the medic says he's gotta cut it off or everything else will go? Well, that's what we have here... we've got a wound that's about to take out my body of men. I need you to be that medic, understand?"

You say: I've got a spine of steel, sir. I'll do what you need.
Capt. Eso says to You, "There's a kid who's seen too much fighting and he's about to snap. If he does at the wrong moment, my whole battalion could be wiped out. Go tell him, "Hey, look over there," and when his back is turned, do what you have to do. Report back only to me when you're done."

You say: What do you mean he made noise?
Capt. Eso says to You, "That damned crazed kid was out in the jungle calling out for his mommy! Well, those probe droids sure as all smack heard that and found where we were. Any more questions, or do you want to actually save some lives now?"

You say: Absolutely! I'll do it.
"That's what I wanted to hear, kid.", Capt. Eso says to You. "What you've got to do is take out the preliminary scouts... if I can get my men out of here, I can take over where you left off. Now move out!"

This piece, for instance -- I've been examining it, but the process of cleaning off the moss also removes vital chemical traces that would help us understand what happened. How frustrating. But as to that delivery -- can you do it?", Sgt. Ruwan Tokai says to You.

You say: What is this piece?
"I believe it's a fragment of hull plating that crashed onto this moon from the battle station that got destroyed in this vicinity last year. Very interesting technology, I must say. Can you deliver it?", Sgt. Ruwan Tokai says to You.

You say: Well I expect you are right. What about the job?
"I'm in charge of ...", Osae Meilea says to You. "An independent salvage venture. I have competitor that I have to warn off. You just tell Nagem Dr' Lar that he needs to stop trying to shut down my operation. And make sure he agrees. OK?"

You say: It's as good as done.
Osae Meilea says to You, "Great. I'll be watching to see how you handle yourself. Here is Dr' lar's location."

Quest received: Catch a Fallen Star Part 1
Description: Osae Meilea, at the Yavin IV mining camp, doesn't like the way one of her competitors is doing business. She has hired you to deliver a warning to one Nagem Dr' Lar. Of course Osae never mentioned exactly what her business is.

Deliver a Message: Warn Nagem Dr' Lar about her interference with Osae Meilea's Business.
    goto Nagem Dr' Lar.

    /conv Nagem Dr' Lar
"Can I help you with something?", Nagem Dr' Lar says to You.

You say: Osae Meilea sent us. She wants you to stop interfering with her operations.
"That poodoo is not going to move in on my operations.", Nagem Dr' Lar says to You. "I have been taking her survey teams out for weeks now and I will do the same to you. Yakasoba... show these people what we do to Hutt operatives."

Nagem’s guard Yakasoba (lvl 68) spawns and attacks. Kill him.

Threaten Nagem: Nagem's guard didn't seem to be too much trouble. Now it is time to talk with Nagem to make sure she got the message.

    /conv Nagem Dr' Lar
"Alright...Alright.", Nagem Dr' Lar says to You. "I see I can't do much about this. Tell Osae that I will stop interfering with her Hutt operations. But tell her the other independents are still open season, OK?"

    You say: Other independents?
Nagem Dr' Lar says to You, "Sure. You don't think its just me and Osae out here trying to get rich from all this lovely wreckage? There are hundreds of independent operators running around trying to salvage tech and info to sell back to the Imperials or the Alliance."

You say: Where did they all come from?
Nagem Dr' Lar says to You, "Most of them were here before the battle. Just running small smuggling operations in Sith artefacts, or doing some illegal mining. Most of those have turned to salvaging as much Death Star tech or abandoned equipment from the Alliance bases. Both sides pay well. Me? I got a nice deal with the Imps for salvaging this bit of wreckage."

You say: Well just make sure you remember to stop interfering with Osae's people.
Nagem Dr' Lar says to You, "I will."

    Task completed: Threaten Nagem

Return to Osae Meilea: You got Nagem Dr' La to see things your way. During your conversation you discovered that Osae is really a Hutt operative looking to do some illegal scavenging of remnants of the Death Star. Go back to Osae and tell her that Nagem agreed to Osae's terms.

    /conv Osae Meila
Osae Meilea says to You, "Did Dr' Lar get my message?"

You say: He mentioned that you are working for the Hutts. Is that true?
Osae Meilea says to You, "Let's just say I am representing their interest here on Yavin IV... At least for the moment."

You say: Can't say I’m comfortable with that, but what is done is done.
"Here is something for your trouble.", Osae Meilea says to You. "Come back if you want more work. I like your style."

Task completed: Return to Osae Meilea

"Good to see you again my friend.", Osae Meilea says to You. "Are you interested in another little job?"

You say: Sure that is why I am here.
Osae Meilea says to You, "Good. Well this one is a little messy. I need to get a certain individual on my payroll. He has access to very valuable information. Problem is, he has his own operation. We need to take out his operation before we can get him to hire on with me."

You say: What type of independent operation?
Osae Meilea says to You, "A real triangle trade route. The mark's name is Ewrosa Soci. Officially he is a waiter at the Labour Outpost cantina. Unofficially he sells Sith and Massassi artefacts off-world and with those proceeds he smuggles in spice for the labourers."

You say: Sound like a real smooth operator. I'm in.
Osae Meilea says to You, "Great. You have to do two things. First we have to take out Soci's little team of grave robbers. They can be found near a dig. Next take out his latest shipment of spice. Once you have done both, go to Soci. Let him know he is ruined financially but I am willing to pay him well for information."

You say: It is as good as done.
Osae Meilea says to You, "Here's the info on where to find everyone."

Quest received: Catch a Fallen Star Part 2
Description: Osae, a Hutt operative at the mining outpost, has been impressed with your stopping of Nagem Dr' Lar from interfering with the illegal Hutt salvage operation. Now she wants you to use you to finalize her hold on illicit activities here on Yavin IV. She wants you to destroy another criminal operation so their leader will have to work for Osae.

Destroy Grave Robbers: Osae wants to turn Ewrosa Soci into an informer. Soci does a nice business supplying spice to the labour outpost as well as smuggling ancient artefacts off planet. To force him to work for Osae all of Soci's operations have to be destroyed. The first step is to destroy Soci’s illegal trade in Sith and Massassi artefacts by wiping out all of Soci’s grave robbers.

goto "grave robber dig". Kill 10 lvl 68-73 grave robbers.

    Task completed: Destroy Grave Robbers

Kill Soci's smugglers: The first step in Osae's plan has been a success. The grave robbers at the Massassi dig weren't a problem. Now its time to kick Soci’s other leg out from under him. Destroy his spice-running operation. Once this is done, Osae will have the leverage to force Soci to join her Hutt organisation. You need to go to the smuggler landing site and take the spice meant for Soci.

goto "Smuggler Camp". keep killing the 2 x lvl 70 and 1 x lvl 73 smugglers until you get some spice (took me 20 kills to get them)

    Task completed: Kill Soci's Smugglers

Warn Opca: Opca's little operation has been crippled. Go and give him the bad news. He can be found near the labour outpost cantina.

    goto Ewrosa Soci.

    /conv Ewrosa Soci
"So what can I get for you? You need a quick snack? The fried crystal snake is a great mid-day meal.", Ewrosa Soci says to You.

You say: Osae Meilae sent us with a message
"Message? I told that little Hutt wannabe that I wasn't interested in playing petty informer for her. I have my own very profitable operation.", Ewrosa Soci says to You.

You say: Not any more. Here's the proof.
"What?", Ewrosa Soci says to You. "This isn't mine ... wait those are my seals on the spice containers. You could have only gotten this by killing them all."

You say: Now enough foolish posturing. You will do everything that Osae wants, or pay the price. Understand?
"You and Osae have ruined me. Every credit I had was tied up in that spice shipment. Ok tell her that I will start passing on information to her.", Ewrosa Soci says to You.

    Task completed: Warn Ewrosa Soci

Return to Osae: with your destruction of Soci’s smuggling and spice-running operations, he is a broken and creditless man. He has agreed to work for Osae the Hutt operative at the mining outpost. Give Osae the good news.

    /conv Osae
Osae Meilea says to You, "Great Job. You scared Soci so badly that he has already contacted me."

You say: thanks. It wasn't a problem at all.
"He is talking about getting me some hot info in a little while.", Osae Meilea says to You. "Here is something for you for now. Come back soon and we can talk more business."

    Task completed: Mission Reward

"Soci has sent me some hot info.", Osae Meilea says to You. "Looks like the Black Sun are going to try and smuggle out a cargo of Death Star salvage. You want to do another job for me?"

    You say: Sure do.
"Great. The timing for the intercept will be close, but here is the best location for jumping the ship, before it escapes into hyper-space.", Osae Meilea says to You.

Quest received: Catch a Fallen Star Part 3

Quest received: Yavin System: Capture the Black Sun cargo ship

Tactical Computer: < Enemy fighters eliminated. >
Tactical Computer: < Enemy fighters detected. >
Tactical Computer: < Enemy fighters eliminated. >

Osae coded message: < The cargo ship has landed and is in my hands. Come back and we will finish our business. >

Osae Meilea says to You, "Nicely done. Nicely done. You know you have been such a great help, I am going to let you decide who we are going to sell the cargo to. So what will it be? Imperial or Rebel?"

You say: Why are you letting me decide?
Osae Meilea says to You, "I am going to use your comm-link and ID to set up the deal of course! I don't want either side to know who I am, just yet. Now chose."

    You say: Rebels then.
"Yea I like backing a winner early.", Osae Meilea says to You. "And we can always sell them out if things get dicey again. Contacting General Dodonna now."

You have been awarded 2500 points of Jabba faction standing. 10000 credits have been successfully transferred to your account.
