I don't know if this has been done buuuuuuuuut

WHATS THE STORY OF YOUR NAME? Lets say the name you post under and your first chars name and your main
lol that way I only have one story to tell
So it was a cool summers day, I just got the game, it was finally working, and up and running, cool, first toon, I knew what it was going to be: delf rogue :)
So long story that I forget turned short: I wanted a name with S in the beginning of it, cause like that would have been a cool and mysterious rouge/evil/delf like name, and then Spife came to me, I don't know how (I know I came up with a few other names). So I use it for any and all rogue like beings in my games now, (sorta) and I use it to post under, if not that then Jukey (don't ask) and uh yeah, I myself think its a cool name, I like how it sounds haha
one other story: Fendo is my archer name from now on (Like Spife being my rogue name) I don't know how I came across it but it was my rangers name in CoN and I thought that was a cool name too so I made a ranger in EQ and named her Fendo
ok now I'm done, final post of the night too O.O
Ok so whats your story? Remember, the name you post under, the name of your first toon or the name of your main, and ah heck how about your favorite named toon
Tomorrow I'll bore you with the story of Hungoverbard lol

My forum name was easy to come up with, I've been using it for 2 years on SOCOM and SOCOM 2.

My first character ever on EQOA,(about a month after the original came out), was a Barbarian Warrior. I figured that Barbarians are a primitive race so they need primitive names. I also took into consideration what I wanted to do with that toon, which was hit things with a big stick, so I came up with Bludgion.

My 2nd character was a troll shadowknight that I started about 1 month before frontiers came out. I had a song stuck in my head by 12 Stones(great band) called My Life. So there we have it...Mylife.

I had to hand my account over to a friend so I could pay the bills, but I'm startin it back up on a different account any day now.

Well, one moment in time..

I decided to produce a druid, and had yet to see the halfling area. So a halfling druid was in the making. Now the hard part. What in the world do I name him? Then I press the "O" button. And a minute later, the goofball droo pops up on my T.V.

Well thats interesting thread. Xenon is the name of my wizard in D&D for the past 10 years. When we finally stopped playing D&D xenon was level 36 (well above Epic). Xenon (D&D) was a ruthless power mad individual who due to the reflective nature of a crystal golem accidentaly got caught in his own prismatic spray and as luck and sent to another plane of existence. Due to my wonderful amounts of luck with rolling dice was sent to the Abyss (one of the planes of hell). Trapped on this plane he bartered with a demon for power and release of his physical form from this plane. In exchange for his soul he agreed to perform acts of evil against beings whos goodness would threaten the demons holdings on Faerun (my personal favorite was killing a woman in her third trimester whilsy having dinner with her husband by casting a house rule spell called parasitic abomination{think ALIEN}) For this loyalty the demon granted Xenon dark boons of innate supernatural abilities. Eventually Xenon's power grew so great and his evil could no longer be contained or hidden his friends planned to rid the world of him. There ambush was thwarted by a slow minded ranger that never noticed or believed Xenon could be capable of these things allowing Xenon to flee. They hunted him down for years but were never able to gain access to his tower or any other of his keeps and they eventually all died of old age while Xenon replaced body after body through the years. His current whereabouts are unknown to all but me and Im not saying when or where this great evil will turn up next.

Brie however is a much shorter story. I also had a monk in D&D and named him Raziel. During his travels with his party members came upon a town that was ravaged by werewolves the only surivor was a young girl named Brie (my Dungeon Master hada thing about naming NPC's after various food products that were in sight) Raziel seeing her family slaughtered adopted her and brought her back to his Dojo and taught her the ways of the silent fist as her father. Upon reaching maturity Raziel sent her out into the world to experience its wonders and to spread enlightenment.

So there you go a hunk of French Cheese.

My Alla name comes from my e-mail. But most of my toons come from the Thesaurus, Tho my first toon was simple Namsp...which is (Psman)backwards.
From the Thesaurus one of my favorite names was Nostreme ..comes from: nos·trum ( P ) Pronunciation Key (nstrm)n.
A medicine whose effectiveness is unproved and whose ingredients are usually secret; a quack remedy.
A favorite but untested remedy for problems or evils.
This was my Cleric

I was prophecising upon a boulder that was jutting out of the side of a cliff nearly 300 feet above a lush-green forest. Beyond the forest was a river that flowed with gold. An ancient fish spread its mighty wings and slithered over to where I was sitting. With his weight, the massive boulder gave way and I was released into the green abyss.

Before I hit the ground, I was saved by a tribal woman of the Elven kind. We produced 4 Elvenkins and a Trollkin which was later tossed into the Ocean of Oddities. My beloved's name was Sippy.

One day as we were crossing the Plain of Pricks, a white rhino charged her ***. She died.

Sippy + Rhino = Soprino.

Actually, I wanted to make a Mage and wanted a name that ended with 'o'. While I was pondering I realized that I was super, so I got Soprino.

Right?

Right.

Well, I got my main character's name for one of my first Dungeons and Dragon's characters. Denyen was a Fighter/Psychic Warrior. When I first got the game i was going to use my most recent D&D character but the name(Dracono) was taken. So i settled on Denyen for my alchemist's name. Guess i'm not the only one who used my D&D toon name. Guess i didn't know that so many people played D&D and EQOA. lol

lol ok hummm, I had a toon called "Shoppingcart" I don't know why, but it was gonna be my bank toon
Hungoverbard, well (this was the time I didn't have a bard) and I grouped with some one named drunkenbard on spife, then we got the idear "How cool it would be to have three bards in a row named "Drinkingbard" "drunkenbard" and "Hungoverbard" lol well one of the other groupies was gonna do it and so was I (They ended up bailing) and thus "Hungoverbard" was made, I haven't seen Drunkenbard in a while though

oo heres one
Sarsina: well way back when, my friend didn't have the game, he was makin a toon (a nec) and he wanted something (for some reason) and sars was taken, plus it wasn't a female name (and being the guys that we are, he was making a female) so I said "Hey! tag on "ina" at the end and it will be feminem(sp)" and there we have it, of course I remade toon cause he added to cha lol, send a tell to Sarzina (on ppo) asking how high his cha is or something. But I remade, used that name and vwallah(<no clue what thats suppose to be)

My screen name comes form the Belgariad and Malloreon series of books by David eddings. An ill tempered all powerful quasimodo of sorts. plus I like to cool sound to its simplicity. As for my first toon,, well I created a Barbarian Shaman, and since at the release of the original eqoa Barbs and Trolls were the biggest races, I figured Runt would be a rather humorous name. Nothing fancy here but a tale non the less..

ElCid - My very first toon ever, all the way back to a game called Wastelands.

Singforu - My second toon, a bard, a bard sings...

Redz - in reference to a now defunct Italaion(sp?) communist group called The Red Brigade, back in the 70s.

Thanks Dirges I have played D&D since Im 10 years old. I have had many interesting characters over the years and some of them I would love still to play but D&D is hard to do - people tend to socialize more than play. But I have always tried to develop my characters to have some history. I think it gives them that littl extra something that dm's like as it makes their job alittle easier.

Notable D&D Characters that never made it:
D'Amour - Illusionist failed a climb check and fell off a cliff and body was never recovered.
Kayin D'Amour: A blind warrior from the future that fought with a staff in one hand and a big gun in the other. He used to tap out enemies with the staff then blast him. He died while tapping along he triggered an incinerator pit trap. Body destroyed.
Jake Crow: 2nd edition house class (Gunslinger ala The Dark Tower by Stephen King) Died trying to rescue a young girl from a demon, newley met part member refused to pay for his ressurection. Body buried.
Jareth Clearwind: Illusionist killed by scorpion poison. Group Cleric resrrected him but never removed the poison. Immediate death upon ressurection. Body buried.

As you can see very few of them actually lived long.

Planned name was gonna be Singingbard but i didnt have my contacts in(i had checked before if the name was available and it was so i was like sweet but had to log and made a nec instead of a bard) So i was typind fast like usual when after i got the G at the end of singing i accidentally but a T instead of a B. I didnt notice it til i got my bard to lvl 10 because i didnt have my contacts in. When i noticed i was like OH *BLEEP* and went and tryed to make a Singingbard in another open spot. It said it was taken so i said *** it and kept the name tard. And that my friends is how all the flames started.

My best friend always calls me Toodles when he thinks I cop an attitude. Since he was the one that got me started on EQOA, it only seemed fitting.
