any new info on lionweres?Follow

I'm currently trying to get infected for lionwere myself on my 30 mag. Only zones with lionweres will infect (not werelions). You must have the faction to get infected, and You can only be in a group with people 5 lvls higher or lower then you.

Just FYI, You do not need 1k faction to get infection. Only need 1k faction to finish quest to get wereform. I was infected with approx 450 faction. You will get the popup as you approach your tail quest giver. He was tell you that he needs to speak to you about somthing very important. Once you have 1k faction, go back to quest giver and speak to him again. Tell him that you do not want to hunt lions any longer and then speak to him again to get the last part of quest to gain the ability to change form
Or... once you get the faction , tun in the tails that you have, and then delete the quest. This will prompt the last part and the final mob that you must kill.
As far as having a high lvl in your grp... example, keep the high lvl friend in grp while searching for the mob, when you locate a lion, drop grp and kill it w/o the high lvl being in grp. Infetion is XP based. Kill the mobs that are closest to your lvl. If you are going to be in a grp, try and grp with people that as close to your own lvl as possible. As i said, infection is Xp based. I was a lvl 30 warior and was soloing gators with a 60 cleric on the outside healing me. I found a lvl 30 shaman that wanted gator form and we grped up. We hunted and killed for about 3 hours and was able to get infected.
I read a post a while back by a guy that stated that the gator that infected him dropped a uncommon stack ( torn gator hide), the second me and the shaman killed a gator and that one stack dropped, We ran and checked and sure enough we were infected. Ask around, there may be a particular item that drops on a lionwere that will let you know that you are infected. Once infected, get as many high lvls in your grp as possible and have them kill kill kill. You are now infected so who cares about the xp, you just want faction. You do not need 1k for the infection, but you do need the 1k for the second part of the quest which gives you the actual form. Until i got a minimum of 1k, the quest giver wouldnt talk to me about the final mob to get my gator form. This was confirmed by a good friend of mine which was atempting to get his ratwere form. He was infected rather quickly, but he still had to get his faction to a minimum of 1k for the Q giver to give him the next part of the quest. This is also the situation that a guildy ran into with his lion form. Not sure on bear, never asked about bears minimum faction. If its different than what i have written, the only posibility is that the faction is based on the race of your toon.

Some people get infected easier than others..

Dark got infec with one lion, where as i never got infection..

im gunna have to disagree again blue, cuz my toons were both way under 1k faction (346 at lvl 55 on sk, and 280 on 32mage to be exact) and i was able to finish up qst and get were form no problem, idk mayb its because it was lionwere qst, mayb gator,rat,and others are different

cool, i'll be sure to tell them. i think you can get gamecards right off the official SOE site. probobaly take a week though lol.

sum ppl say the mob must hit you for infection, or even that you don't have 2 kill lionwere just get hit by it. is this tru?

others say that if 1 guy gets inf in grp, and whole grp is sameish lvl, then the whole grp get the inf even if you don't get hit by the mob. idk

whats the real story????

Oh and to answer that question..if one person gets infected DOES NOT mean everybody else will. You can get infected and others won't.

So yah if you want I'll help you with that. It was a pain. Luckily I had a 60 help me with that. Surprised nobody warned you about that. I usually get around 6pm (Central)

So if you're not busy or whatever we can hook up and see what we can get done. =)
