Yes, but the heal doesn'y tick, healers heals do tick. And Pillar is a taunt, which is much more efficent at holding aggro.

Why does it seem that so many tanks have trouble holding aggro that that's why they say u should go pillar?

when i first started my SK i was going to go pillar path.. but decided on my Blood path and i couldnt be happier. I cant tell you how many times it has saved my tooshy!!!!!!!

someone mentioned if you wanted to be a back up MT to go pillar path.. this makes complete sense to me because it is hard to gain aggro and with the huge aggro boost with the pillar path taunts it would make that back up MT easier to grab aggro

now i have also noticed that crits are crits and theres no way to decrease those (that i have found out) so i dont really see that extra 700 ac for 12 seconds being a big concern. the other thing that i hate about the pillar path is the recast of the spell. what is it 10 minutes? or something like that?

you pull a mob and usually well "hopefully" youll kill it dam quickly. so there fore you usued your taunt up and cant use it for another dam 10 minutes.

i know i told you (in game) if you wanted to be a main tank to go pillar but i take that back. i would go bellow path.. thast what im doing with my warrior!!

Watch out for casters using excessive nukes, they pull aggro very easily. I tell my group to watch out for excessive nuking or healing and I hold aggro very easily. I do lose it sometimes, but I think the caster got a little carried away... maybe.

Provoking shout is really nice and if there are more than one mob, I pull out the bellow and bang, all mobs on me.

I lose aggro only with heavy dds (wiz, rogues, monks) and have to cast taunt nd provoke to hold aggro, not a big deal, but I never was/will be a MT so i really couldnt tell you

As an experienced tank and the best tank on DH around my lvl I must tell u to go Bellow. In four lvls u will have provoke which basically puts the 12 second AC buff Pillar to shame. When I get an add on when tanking I immediately Provoke/taunt/kick/stomp the ******* till he hates me more then a skinhead watching the Jeffersons. Then I commence to kill the first guy and continue to kill the add on(s). Also Bellow helps when u get an add on that is a special mob, b/c they kick major ***. I was xp'ing at redpaws/whitepaws 2 lvl's ago and bellow saved me there.

I, like a few others on this thread, recommend you go Bellow and Defender. Let's do this in list form, much easier on the eyes.

Strengths:
Bellow:
Heal (good for duels and healer DCing, whatnot, plus it stacks)
HP max (not much of a help, considering your Call Tos will raise your HP more)

Pillar:
Powerful Taunt (good for aggro, adds that go straight for the healer, if the lame healer buffs in the middle of battle)
AC boost (contrary to popular belief, this is a "drain"-type spell. meaning that if the mob has high AR, the AC you recieve is nullified. does give 500 AC at level 20 for a period of 12 seconds)

I don't know much about the Warrior MCs, much less the tanking ones. Good luck.

I am having a very hard time deciding an MC. I am stuck between Hero/Savage. I know one is good Offense and other is good defence, but I can't decide. Im probally gonna go avage though. But Cyricblade himself told me that a Good offense beats a good defense.

Why, just why? There was no reason to add the best tank on DH. Godamnit, now how the hell do you know that you are the best tank around your lv on the whole ***** server? Have you seen every single tank on the whole server actually TANK? And then tanked the same things that person has and seen how you done and found yourself to be better then EVERYONE? I highly highly doubt it. And if you think beating almost everyone else around your lv makes you a good tank, your wrong, most duelers (Great Ones) Suck at tanking because they have no Agi or Dex. Dex might not be that important, but Agi definetly is, and Agi barely does anything in duels. Most Duelers have all Str and Sta. And then again, have you dueled Everyone around your lv? Doubt it once again. Im not saying that you were built to duel, cuz idk you, but if you are taking advice from cyricblades then you probably are made to duel. And you cant decide to go Hero or Savage, well lets put it this way. Hero is better for groups and makes better tanks, really good at dueling too. Savage is worse in groups, worse tank, way better soloer, and does less dmg then hero but can survive longer in duels making them most likely better duelers. Then again Hero and Savage both do alot of dmg and have offence. To be a better tank go hero though, but since you seem to wanna be a good dueler then go Savage, its as simple as that. And NO YOU ARE NOT THE BEST, NO ONE CAN BE THE BEST. You may be good though, I dont know, I just know you are not the best. Thinking you are the best, just makes you worse, Politician.
