How does this whole getting married in the game work?
Do you get the same last name? What does it require?

You get the idea about my type of questions...

this is a good question. in the ctrl-c screen on the personel tab it says married:no or yes(if you are). how do you officially get married in the game? if you give some girl(or guy) a ring by trade does the server recognize that your married? pls someone answer this question that alfabetana and I share.

Ummm... you can say that you and your wife have never had a fight.

But seriously, I don't think there is any real benefit to being married other than saying you are. I suppose that you can marry over and over again, and invite half the server to the ceremony as a means of getting customers for your friends that are crafters.

You can't share a house. You can't share banks. You can't share inventories. You can however wear a spiffy "Unity Ring"

When you become married in the game the union rings no longer disinagrate they stay at what ever percentage they're were pre-union, And you keep your name, curently there is no way to change your name in the game unless someone finds it offense and complains and the dev's agree then the next time you log-on you have a new name(not your chosing).

I think you need to exchange rings but not sure? The main reason to do it is to have a player event!!! So you can have a big party!!!!

But love is a weakness and leads to the dark side. Jedi do not fall in love lol!!! Oh wait my main Character cannot use the force I have to unlock a whole new one too bad!!!

LOL - ok guys. Thank you for the input. Would be great if the game dev. could make it so you got some visual effects of getting married. But having a Party and inviting the World to come is also a pretty great reason for doing it. It must be a great opportunity for those of us who like to be in roleplay mode.

And what do you mean it leads to the dark side? I am already there ... even before becomming force sensitive... hehe.

I've been to a few in game weddings. It's really a roleplay thing, not a functional event.

is it fair to continue charging spouse for things like slices or does profiting off her simply go down the tubes?

What I'm wondering is can you trade the union rings with a same *** partner and/or different species partner? Can I marry Female wookie or just male ones...or any. Do I have to marry a male human or can I choose any male, female, species?

The female takes half of all credits you have both on hand and in the bank. Gains the house you placed, the speeder, leaves you with the newbie clothing you started with and takes all your armor.
She then begins garnishing your future missions and keeps the kids if there are any. (Oh picture a half Wookie half Trandoshan baby!)
Then she goes to the Galactic court accusing you of stalking her because she was on Dantooine that night you and your friends went there. So now your stuck on Rori due to the restraining order keeping you from going to Dantooine, Corellia, Tantooine, Dathomir and Naboo.
It pretty much goes downhill from there.
