World of Warcraft: The Motion PictureFollow

#1 Feb 05 2012 at 10:05 PM Rating: Decent
Who's to say this couldn't become an epic trilogy? The story could be split between the two factions: Two guilds crossing paths and working past major confrontations (with each other, Bosses, etc).

Which big name actors do you think could pull off a believable representation of the classes/races in the two guilds?

Christopher Walken (undead priest)
Angelina Jolie (blood elf rogue)
Kristen Stewart (CGI gnome mage)
Arnold Schwarzenegger (draenei warrior)
James Franco (human hunter)

You get the picture...

I believe Blizzard said the movie would be made from an alliance point of view. With that being said, I can see Ozzy Osborn play an undead something. He's done the commercials and speaks in gibberish, the way it would sound to the opposite faction.

I'd like to see Evangeline Lilly as a Blood elf or night elf. Franco as a human sounds good. Arnold as Illidan or Arathas would be the bees knees.

It would be interesting to see/hear peoples reactions once the cast gets announced. I think we all have a personal image of how certain classes or races should be represented.

And surely, various tradesmen, quest givers, and Lunar Festival Elders, etc, could all be voiced and played by Michael Dorn using various forehead disguises....

Madonna as Jaina? What is this, a musical?

And I don't see any reason to come up with names on the CGI characters. I'm almost positive Chris Metzen will be providing the voices to Thrall and Deathwing, should they be in the movie.

As for Varian, can't they cast Hayden Christensen? He pulled off the whiny ***** act pretty convincingly in Star Wars.

It isn't an act.

Is it going to be CGI or live action? I thought it was already announced it'd be live action? Or maybe I'm wrong?

As for Hayden... whoever casted him should be shot. I would have made a much better Anakin (I'm an actor so I can say this).

Live action, but I doubt they'll be able to find a live orc, let alone a huge *** dragon.

Considering the advancement in CGI, most recently with Avatar, it's very likely they'll make the non-human races CGI.

I dunno, with a buff guy and the right prosthetics it wouldn't be too hard to replicate a believable orc. I mean they did the Incredible Hulk back in the 70s. And Night Elfs and Blood Elfs would be easy. Trolls wouldn't be bad either. Taurens and worgen would be the real issue. Most other races could be easily replicated with real people and a combination of camera angles and at times some green screening. That's how they did it in LOTR I think. for most of the "short" people.

Didn't we do this not too long ago?

Anyhoo...I still vote for Sean Bean to play someone who dies.

I guess it depends on which orc model they'll go with.

Cheers for the link to the Sean Bean death reel. One of my favorites. I couldn't believe the outrage among GoT fans who hadn't read the books. (Which, what is wrong with you for not reading the books anyway?) What did they expect to happen - it was SEAN BEAN!

Angelina Jolie?

.............ick.

I know Blood Elves are skinny, but Jolie?

How about an Undead rogue?

That'd fit her a little better. And heck, an Undead female is about as good lookin as Jolie is anyways. Only thing, though is the duck lips... undead girls don't have duck lips.
