Sorry if this was asked before, but first thing I'm doing is creating my Worgen (not sure what class yet. Perhaps Druid). Hopefully the name I had on my beta one will be available for me (wish the names were transferable so no one will steal them).

Anyone else have it planned out what they'll do first when the servers come online?

I will probably be leveling my shadow priest up to 85, checking out the new instances along the way, and I'll try to finish every quest in each new zone.
After that I'll probably start a new character, something between a tauren paladin or a gnome warrior, to experience the stuff they've done to the old zones.

Probably I will alternate between leveling my priesty and that fresh character, because I want it all, and I want it now.

Turn in the dailies I'll have done the day before, go to all the class trainers and level in all of them as far as I can with Wotlk matts. Then I'll do cooking and fishing Org dailies. After those 15-20 minutes, I'll hop on my flying mount and I'll be on my way to Hyjal with my paladin. Onwards to victory!!!!

Log in all my 80s so they start gaining rested EXP, then decide what to do after that.

Never using a non-instant cast mount ever again.

Flight form FTW.

Get my hunter to 85 and start on the dungeons. Then get my priest to 85. After that I'll probably work on my pally who's 47 right now but climbing fast. I'll smatter in some work on my alts here and there. Having a blast even before the expansion gets here!

Creating my goblin priest (without logging in) then I might attempt server first max herbalist. There's probably going to be a good amount of competition for this, but being a tauren druid should give me an edge. ;-) I haven't decided yet whether I'm going to hit up Hyjal or Vashj'ir for this. I think Vashj'ir is going to be less populated, but Hyjal will probably have more flower nodes, so it's hard to say.

I'm still debating whether or not to attempt the server first achieve because I do have a final at 10 am on Tuesday. But it shouldn't take too long to get herbalism maxed. Maybe two hours tops.

My Druid will learn Azeroth flight, then fly down to Belloc Brightblade, learn archaeology, and be off and doing that for as long as possible. I don't care if I'm first to 525, don't care if I find any of the rare weapons, I just can't wait do this!

I do already have names saved for a Goblin Rogue and Warrior, and Worgen Rogue and Druid, but those will probably wait a week or so to be started.

I might also spend some time mining/herbing in the new areas for the characters that could use a little more money right off the bat.

Flying in Azeroth will be the first thing, then learning my professions so they can start skilling up, and finally, start questing in new areas.

Making sure all my 80s are in a town (for rested EXP).

Train herb and mining on DK (if needed to unlock).

Fly to Mt. Hyjal (on DK) and start the march to 85 (should be able to get to 81 that 1st night >.>).

Not entirely sure...probably train archeology on my current alt. Get flying on my main, maybe just explore the world a bit. After that....maybe Hyjal?

Make an alt now with the name you want. Then delete this alt just before you create your new worgen,

Make a goblin and worgen to go through their starting areas. Then buy Azeroth flying and start powerleveling archeology on my druid.

1) I'll be leveling a new druid as Worgen and actually enjoying the part of having a lot of other people around instead of everyone being AFK in town on their mounts that nobody other then them cares about.

2) Buying flight in Azeroth on my current druid and Explore everything I've always wanted to see there. I'll be doing this in between leveling my Worgen.

3) Make sure I leave at least half of the new quests/zone not done, on my druid, so when I level a new character with the wife I have some new quests to do it with.

4) Have fun.

I'm most likely to buy Azeroth flying and head straight to Hyjal to go up to 82.

I think I'll grab the flight and profession training on my main, park him in an inn, and then go run a worgen and a goblin through the starting areas. I have a couple of place-holder alts sitting on the names I'd like to use for them.

Yiff wasn't available, so I'll call my worgen Yiph.

I'll probably train flight, train professions, get whatever new flight paths there might be, then start trying to level my hunter up to 85.

I was thinking of starting something in the Worgen race, perhaps DK

I'm really not sure. The Shattering threw me for a loop. I tried going around on my 80 Druid and wasn't sure which was to turn. Leveling up a new character is a lot more fun but still takes a while (especially since I have maybe an hour to play per night right now).

In all likelihood, get on my druid, get old world flying, and explore or do archeology.

I will: log into each 80 i have, buy the regular world flying for each one, purchase the next level of professions for each one (btw, anyone know where all the trainers for each is going to be, including the trainers for archeology?) and then make sure they are parked to get rested. After that, probably mess around with archeology.

Ummm, probably snore some more or maybe roll over or something, since I have to work the next day.

Once I buy the expansion and start playing though my Druid is probably Hyjal-bound. When I need a break from him I'll be leveling archeology on my rogue or finishing off Northrend with my Warlock.

Buy the dual-spec ability on the 3 characters that are 70+ that don't have it and figure out what specs to use. I haven't been in game since the talent trees got shrunk!

Get the ball rolling on rested XP, buy old world flying and decide which character to head for 85 with first. Find profession trainers and see if a new recipe will let me finish off the 440-450 run with cheaper /easier to obtain cataclysm materials. Maybe even drop tailoring on my main and get something a bit more fitting... silly though, I took tailoring on a second character because a lot of the top tailoring items (at the time) were BoP so couldn't make them with one character and pass them to the other but they seem to be less BoP only for your top rated crafting items now!

Relax and immerse myself in the game again because by then I should be on regular internet not this cell-based one where I'm in a pocket of poor cell reception, half a mile from me I get full bars but parking in a farmers field to get internet seems kind of silly :P

Most likely:

1 - Swear at the 1k+ login queue and afk for the next 20 minutes.

2 - Create a worgen with the name I've had reserved for a while.

3 - Log in on all my 80s to get flying and profession training.

4 - Still not sure what comes next. We'll see in a few days I guess.

5 - ???

6 - Profit!

Level my main to 85 (I mean, not that day, but as the first Cata activity). But I'll be leveling with my husband, not because we wuvs each other and want to be within kiss-emote range, but because tank/healer is a kickass combo for leveling, especially with the dungeon finder. So if I find myself with some play time and he's traveling or whatever, I'll let my main rest and play alts, including a worgen, but not a goblin.

***** about the lack of portals?

Seriously though. Grab flying and profession training (I'm very excited about archaeology) and head off to Hyjal with my wife.
