Finally.

My guild fell apart at 11/12. I had been just dorking around, because I didn't feel like server xferring just for a kill.

A guy I played with for 2 years with across 3 guilds and 2 servers finally sent me a tell and got me to app to his current guild, despite my sincere desire not to walk into a guild and get carried to LK HM kills I did it. Came in and solo healed the tank on Halion HM up top when the other tank healer died pre 4.01. Did alright for myself but warmed the bench for LK HM.

They were the 13th US guild to get it after the patch, lots of guilds were having trouble with the new mechanics.

I pretty much told them "We need to find out if I am an 11/12 Hero, or if I can play at your level. Get me in"

I rocked it out like a classy *****, no mistakes at all during the evening, got the kill and beat the game until December 4th!~

Congratulations!

My guess is he will stop playing and pop back a few days before the expansion so he is completely ready to start leveling come cataclysm.

Beat the game? Did you do it without the 30% buff?

Grats, though =)

Well done on doing it after the patch while still getting used to new stuff. I know how badly holy pallies got graped, so it's very impressive.

To be fair, now that the dust is settling down, it's not actually that bad. My pall (who is the best healadin I know/have talked to, save perhaps Bodhi) is still topping meters. His comment on paladin healing was "My healing isn't actually bad, but the whole spec is downright unrefined and the fact that it's not playing smoothly is annoying the heck out of me". I haven't played healadin since the patch, but I've got a feeling that that pretty much describes where they're at right now. This is partly how priests feel to me right now - I (and he) are both topping the meters where it matters (25-man LK, for example), but the whole playstyle just doesn't feel too smooth yet.

Not to take anything from your achievement though Bodh, heroic LK25 is a pretty damn good job.

Grats Bodhi, it's looking like my guild won't be able to get the troops together to work on 25man version anymore this xpac, so I will be running with a 10man during normal 25man raid times to get Bane of the Fallen King :)

Never having done LK on hc on any size of raid, I cant wait to see how much of a ballbuster he is. I can gather from the very few kills on him that he is incredibly tough, but my guild swept through ICC hc with only 23 people in the raid. We stopped after BQ with just PP, the dragons and LK to go. This was my first time in ICC hc and I was amazed at how easy these fights seemed. The step up to Lich King must be massive.

Anyway, congrats Bodhi.

The gap between LK HM and anything else in ICC is huge, and downing LK HM, especially on 25, is an amazing feeling, so gratz Bohdi, I know it was well earned.
