Things you found that were not in the Patch Notes?Follow

I know that they do a good job of updating the patch notes, but a few things always escape the notes and are picked up by players... Have you noticed anything?

-Mini Map: Able to select multiple items to search/highlight. I do not have a toon with both Herb/Mining - can anyone confirm that this is no a more viable job combination because it would appear to me that you could search for both at the same time.

-Paly Buffs: It would appear my buffs are 1hr long and do not require a reagent. (I BoK'd myself) It also appears that they appear in the default buff location under one larger buff. *I could not get another paly to buff me (It was 5am) - but I suspect all the paly buffs will fall under 1 icon - Can anyone confirm

-Flight Skills: I have notes to see the trainer for skills I have already learned. Anyone know what this is about?

It also automatically puts your class trainer on your mini-map. :)

I think it's for the flying in Kalimdor/Eastern Kingdoms skill, which we can't actually buy yet.

I noticed that my dwarf warrior has a new passive racial skill of +15 to Archeology and the ability to survey faster than other archeologists.

Not a hundred percent sure on this, but are normal (non-epic) ground and flying mounts moving at Epic speeds?

The new Flight Master option is buyable now. Tooltip says something along the lines of allows you to ride all your mounts at max speed.

It is 5000g.

Little disturbed that I had to re-buy this after the patch.

On the PTR, when you buy it and you mount, it allows you to fly at 310% instead of 280.

My new rogue, now level 50, had just finished specializing in Elemental Leatherworking and made herself a pair of Blackstorm Leggings. (BOP, Elemental Leatherworking required to equip)

When I logged her in yesterday, the paper doll showed her leggings as red, and it seems I've lost the Elemental Leatherworking spec. The trainer in Arathi Highlands has nothing to say to her...

Come to think of it, I seem to recall my shammie and druid alchemists no longer have their elixir specs either...

I'll check my tailor (Cloth spec) but I had heard they were getting rid of this. If they forgot that you needed the Spec to equip something - it's a bug.

BUT - i did hear they were getting rid of the specializations.

Lame. I was looking forward to my druid being a transmutation specialist in alchemy so she could make lots of money.

Yes, apparently you do not get to use glyphs until level 25 now. So my little level 20s, who had bought and learned glyphs previously, have been gipped out of them completely. >:(

I do like being able to use the lower level mounts. I've switched back to level 20 mounts on lots of characters, especially my Horde characters that have the Brewfest Mount(the level 20 one!).

I'm trying to figure this out, I guess I'm slow.

So you buy your epic flying and mount pre-patch for $5000 for flying (unless you got a discount) and whatever the cost of the mount to fly at 280%, and now if you pay $5000 again (hopefully with a discount) you can upgrade to 310% speed?

Just a small thing: in the login screen you see yourself with your guildtabard, even if you do not own a guildtabard.

Wait...

Does that mean that there is no longer the "buff" of creating multiples when transmuting for Transmutation specialists? or of creating 2 cloths for the different tailoring specializations?

If so, that MAJORLY sucks!

Dualspec is 100g.

Gogogogo.

EDIT: At least I didn't spot this in the patch notes, if it was there.

While the specialization trainers have been reverted to "generic" prof trainers, the Blacksmith ones don't have the recipes to train anymore/atm.

While being 80 atm negates the "need" for any of the specialization recipes I didn't have, it's annoying that I'm likely looking at not being able to learn them until Cata, if at all.

I don't know about xmute mastery, but I DO know that Tailoring Specs no longer make multiples of cloth. My moonshroud-specced priest was only making 1 Moonshroud per instead of the 2 pre-4.x. If I had known this was coming, I would have dumped all of my cloth/e.lives into Moonshroud before the patch lol.

The paladin 10 second cooldown interrupt (Rebuke) procs seal hits. You can macro it to your abilities since it isn't on the gcd. It'll be changed of course, but it's like 8-10% extra damage.

Might be better not to, since it seems that the plan is to, come Cataclysm, put more/all of the burden of interrupting on the DPS and not the tank. So when things matter again, you'll just have to take it back out.

Mini Map has been discussed, well I don't know if there is official word on it but you can track as many things as you would like now. Go go Track Humanoid and Track Hidden for pvp.

Dual Spec was also discussed somewhere and was stated to be lower to 100g so don't flip out, it'll be like that forever. I think there was a post here recently about it IIRC.

I don't know if you can fly in Kalimdor/EK yet. I want to say on PTR people were...or at least they were able to mount their flying mounts and run on them, maybe not fly. But I actually want to say that might have been implemented, but I could be totally wrong.

I know there was going to be a trainer that allowed you to fly on all of your mounts at 310% speed. I thought there was something that if you obtained a 310% speed mount you didn't need it but I'm not sure about that either. I would hate to spend 5kg again just to get 30% more flying speed on all my flying mounts when I already have one at 310%.

You can also have as many node tracking effects active as you want.

Flying isn't implemented yet, and won't be available until Cataclysm is out.

You can mount the 2 seater rocket anywhere and use it as a ground mount in Vanilla, and as a flyer other places. Just something I noticed.

They turned into "Ruined Vellum" BUT they are not 'ruined', you click on them to turn them into just plain old "enchanting vellum", usable by any level enchant and on weapons or armor. I just found this about an hour ago.

I got a x4 proc on my warlock this morning while transmuting a Cardinal Ruby, so transmute mastery is still working. I haven't tested potions/elixirs on my other 2 alchemists though.

Odd, because I saw a Tauren Druid in bird form at the Exodar.

He could have exploited a bug or glitch or something, but he was able to fly around and pester us (the guards wouldn't attack him) and he landed on the boat, went into boomkin form, then back into bird form.

If he was exploiting something, I hope he'll enjoy his suspension when he's eventually caught and punished.

Check to see if you can buy this item. It's in the cata database but you should be able to now I would think.

EDIT: Apparently it's a bug. http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=27188066109&sid=1
