really just wondering if blizzard has any type of package deals on server and faction changes. i played for a short time with a friend, we both rolled on a pvp server and on the horde. then him and his girl rolled on a new server as alliance.

not the biggest fan of the game so i dont wanna start a new toon, but i do wanna game with my 2 friends, enough so that if there is some sort of package deal i would be willing to buy WotLK to start up again just so i could get my druid the 11 levels it needs to run with their shaman and dk.

I was looking into something like this a while back, and there isn't any sort of package deal, unfortunately.

If you want to transfer factions and servers, you'll need to pay for both services, which can get pricy.

If you decide that you do want to do this, the service is in your Account Management page in your battle.net account.

Wish they would. IF it was a lump sum id transfer to another server. But Im not paying $30 per toon. Server I am on gets a lot of lag since I picked one clear across the country.

I'm up to 27 server transfers and faction changes already.

Wish they'd done some kind of package deal when I moved my six toons to another side and faction earlier this year. Money went poof.

Yeah, at $55 per character, doing both at the same time can get pretty spendy. I think I've done five or so server transfers over the course of my playing, and just one faction change since I only had one Alliance character that I cared about from Vanilla. I don't even play her anymore either, because I changed servers. One of these days I'll server transfer her and maybe my DK too.

I face a similar dilemma. I, for reasons unknown (possibly denial), went and finished up 7 level 80's on a dying server. Now, I'm on a much better server, and sorely missing my toons. However, server + faction changes for that many toons is illogical, even taking my ****** hunter out of the equation.
Worse yet, for Cata, or sometime during, I may end up moving to the EU servers. Wish I could transfer my toons there, but that's not even an option with ALL the money in the world (which I'll need, wow+BC+LK+Cata, not nom).

first off thanks for the replies, unfortunately after reading them it makes me sadder that so many people throw the amount of money away on transfers and faction changes that it makes it worth while for blizzard to not have a bundle deal.

as i stated i dont like the game enough to pay for server+faction+WotLK then the subscription and soon to be cata. i would rather just watch my friend play at his house then spend the $70.+ just to get my one and only toon on to a server that i could chill with my friends on. i would suggest it to them but cant post unless i have an active account and wont have one of those again till they offer some sort of bundle lol and the vicious cycle continues.

you could look into the Recruit A Friend (RAF) option. If your account hasn't been paid for in the last 6 months you can use it to level a new char on their server faster.

Might be an idea. Or have them level a char on your account (this is against the ToS/rules tho). I did it for a friend a little before TBC so we could level our chars togetether.

Then he stopped playing :/ Then, he started playing again in WOTLK with a new account that *******!

PS: you would have to trust them completely. Otherwise we would have another "ohnoes i'm hacked or wtf i got banned for goldspamming" thread

Sorry mini rant
