Like a lot of old vets to WoW I am missing that feeling I had when first stepping into Azeroth, I miss my first instance run, my first guild, the first time I ever fought another player in Southshore. There are simply no more "big" firsts to do. Sure there's new content but it's not the same.

I want those firsts back and let's face it, Cataclysm cannot deliver that, but they sure can deliver a lot of new firsts, more so than any other expansion. My first worgen in a strange new land, filled with new leaders, new imagery, a new feel, darker undertones and most importantly bringing the war back to World of Warcraft. Enough of this tenuous truce between Horde and Alliance, I want war and King Varian is going to deliver!

On that theme, the thing I anticipate most is rated battlegrounds. This is like a dream come true to any fan of pvp. One of the things that Burning Crusade delivered was a revolutionary, albeit controversial, change to pvp via arenas... Cataclysm is now carrying this one step further and bringing the best thing about Vanilla pvp (battlegrounds) and seamlessly joining it together with the best thing from BC pvp (arenas).

I have a lot of faith put in this expansion, there are a lot of us old timers that need a new challenge, and I don't think we'll be disappointed.

I've always been a huge fan of the Gilnean lore since I started Warcraft 3, and since I started World Of Warcraft back in 2006 I've always dreamed up all sorts of stories involving what would happen behind that wall and how we'd finally get in.

So when I finally found out that we could not only go into Gilneas but play as someone from Gilneas it got me really excited! The Worgen part is just the icing on the cake, to me, I'm most excited about playing as a Gilnean.

I am looking forward to the new races and the changes to the Azeroth's questing. I am really glad they are revamping the old zones to streamline the questing. I love leveling alts but I am also exited for new raid content and even the ability to fly in Azeroth as I have wanted to for a long time!
Thanks for reading!

I am really looking forward to the destruction of barrens mainly >:D It's going to be fun to find mankrik's wife again. I'm also looking forward to new class set ups, I noticed a lot of them were from the Classic WoW Beta like dwarf mage and orc mage; found that interesting. I can't wait till i can fight alliance for a freakin prison!! thats gonna be fun, torturing gnomes, finding out their secrets to their crafty little tanks...

I simply cannot wait to experience the incredibly epic additions to the Warcraft lore and storylines in the Cataclysm expansion. I would absolutely love the opportunity to see the aftermath of the Lich King "destroyed", and the new rise to destruction, Deathing. The sheer amount of the quality of lore within quests, in which Blizzard's team has gone to extraordinary lengths to immerse each and every World of Warcraft player is absolutely admirable, and I would be absolutely ecstatic to be able to see, and give feedback to Blizzard's already amazing expansion to make the game as bug-free as possible.

hmmm where do i get started....Cataclysm, the world changed, Azeroth will never be the same, and yet everyone still looks forward to it. I for one, am looking forward to the CC required in the dungeons, the new land changeds, and i have always been an entusiast on the Deathwing history. I read the books that showed him growing more evil, with the Dragon soul Turned Demon Soul, and how he eventually turned against the dragons, and nearly drove the flgihts to extinction...this is why i love cataclysm

I look forward to trailblazing new content right as the expansion is released. I started playing WoW pre-bc, but for various reasons never hit level cap once. Now that it is WotLK I have finally hit level cap I look forward to being able to dive right into new areas, zones, dungeons and etc and be right at the leading edge of players exploring the new content and telling their friends about it.

Also, I would like my 2nd 80 (85 actually!) to be a Worgen =]

One more thing is I want to be able to be the person posting help for others who are experiencing content for the first time instead of being the person searching for the help =]

I'm excited about all the changes in Cataclysm, but mostly about:
  1. The changes happening to the entire world
  2. The return of Malfurion Stormrage
  3. New and better 1-60 quests
  4. Heroics becoming heroics again
  5. The really great architecture of Gilneas and all Worgen cities

And I'm looking forward to doing all the starting areas new quests, the Mount Hyjal's quests and doing all the new dungeons and raids that are coming in this expansion, ready to provide feedback to all of these new things.

I'm siked for Cataclysm, for the scaling back to the golden days and a more "Classic" feel, but the part i'm most siked about is the ever growing focus on actual story-telling. Now, like everyone I know that WoW has bastardized the story-line that Wacraft 3 (and its predecessors) set up, simply by killing off some of our favorite characters (Kael? Arthas? Illidan? Deathwing? These guys were like, awesome when I was a kid). However, anyone whose a true Blizzard fan has to realize that its simply necessary for them to make those choices, they're a business after all, and in order to keep making money off an MMO, it has to keep growing or no one will play it.

Aside from all of that, its the fact that they're really bringing in some awesome story-telling into leveling and beyond that really impresses me and makes me extermely excited for the newest expansion. All i've read about the new tweening and growth and story aspect, the shear epicness of what they're doing in every step of the new vanilla leveling process has me craving more. I can't wait to see Cataclysm and will gladly wait longer if I have to, but if I could get into the beta and really experience it as soon as possible, hell i'd be shocked and ready.

Well I played since Vanilla WoW and experienced all of Azeroth for all its glory, and I wanted to play around with it a little bit before I have to start the level grind so I can enjoy it fully in Cata. I want to see how I'm going to be changing my game play style with Warrior Tanking and Disc Priest PvP since they're upping priest heals and making warriors a little better for AoE tanking which never bothered me in the first place, but all in all I want to experience this beta this is only beta I've been truly interested because of all the changes to Azeroth and the classes in general and to learn the layout of the new land and questing. Definitely work hard on this game and with my guild and getting this would satisfy me to a great end.

I am very excited to once again walk through Azeroth and feel nostalgia at my memories leveling from 1-60 combined with wonder at all the changes that have been made for me to experience in my journey to level 85. I am incredibly eager to fly my drake through what was once a no-fly zone. I cannot wait to explore the new race/class combinations as well as the two new classes, especially the Worgen.I am incredibly eager to fly my drake through what was once a no-fly zone.
As a follower of the lore, I am also excited to see how Blizzard worked the story of Deathwing into the game and hopefully, at some point, face the monster myself.
Last but not least, I am overjoyed at the fact that I will once again face VanCleef in what has always been my favorite instance - The Deadmines!

The things I'm looking forward to most with the Cataclysm Expansion are:

1. Foremost, the changes to guilds. I can't wait for them to be more then just a chat pane and a way to talk to people. I look forward to working with the people of my guild on different things and on leveling our guild.

2. Being able to go to Mount Hyjal, without being banned! Looking forward to that a lot. :) Also flying in the old world. Will be slightly faster to get around!

3. All the changes to the old world. Tis where I started and seeing everything change is going to be great.

4. Although I am Horde, I look forward to rolling a new toon or two. Looking forward to the opening of Gilneas. Have always wondered what was behind the Greymane Wall!

Hi,

I am very much excited for the upcoming Cataclysm expansion. Most notably, I am looking forward to experiencing play of the goblin class. I have been playing since Vanilla WoW and the FIRST thing I ever remember doing is hopping out of the Orc/Troll starting zone through the mountains and swimming down south to Ratchet. I remember seeing the infamous first Illegal Danish movie where Zinwrath the human mage, while being in Gadgetzan, writes on the cape of an orc "Goblins Suck" and how hard I laughed when the Goblin guards saw that and rained down on the orc with their annoying to experience but hillarious to watch rope traps.
It would be quite the privilege to play the Goblin race and experience all the new content that Cataclysm has to offer.

Thanks to all the ZAM folks for all the wonderful opportunities and making so many people happy!
