I look forward to three main things in Cataclysm;

1. The lore! As a Horde player I am very excited (although not so much agreeable with) about the new leadership of Garrosh Hellscream, as well as the story of Sylvanas' rebellious path.

2. Revamped old-world zones; As I only reached level 49 before The Burning Crusade hit, I missed out on the fun that was Blackrock Mountain, Stratholme, Vanilla raids etc. I would like to be able to experience these areas just like the Vanilla veterans did, but with all new and improved dungeon mechanics and boss fights!

3. The return of CC! I have read everywhere that the dead practice of CC will be making its triumphant return in Cataclysm. As a rogue player I'm looking forward to showing off some pro blinds, although I dread the classic 'Oops I forgot to go in stealth when I ran up to sap that guy" thing that I know every Rogue is ashamed to admit they've done.

Bring on the second sundering, I say!

I am just looking forward to seeing things move forward. The whole "time line never moveing thing" gets kinda depressing and im tierd of having to find that croc meat for some guy on every alt. It will be nice to see something finally happoning to show actual world progress being made.

I'm excited about the old world being revamped into a newer tighter experience. When leveling an alt recently I noticed how jumbled and difficult the old world quest hubs were compared to the newer and more innovative Outland and Northrend hubs. I think leveling alts post-expansion will be a new experience in itself.

Two words:

Troll Druids.

Also, the new mutilate tree. And smoke bomb is gonna be fun (in theory. We'll see how hard it gets nerfbatted)

Lore! LORE! YAY!

Heroic Deadmines. (Can a Heroic Hogger be far behind?)

Flying around Azeroth.

Good times, son. Good times will be had.

I'm most looking forward to exploring the goblin race. As a roleplayer, exploring the goblin areas and uncovering the mysteries of goblin culture would greatly help in developing a background for my main who, more than likely, will be going goblin come Cataclysm as soon as race changes to them will be available. Not to mention Kezan and the Lost Isles look amazing from what I've seen of them so far and I'd love to see what appearance options I have as a goblin, because to be honest, the old models really need some updating. : /

On a lesser note I'm also greatly looking forward to flying my way around Azeroth and exploring those places that have been previously been unavailable to explore.

I pretty much look forward to everything, from an updated PvP system, to new talents, new profession levels and craftables, new quests, new zones, and the list goes on. :)

the thing i'm most excited about is learning more about the amazing lore behind the World of Warcraft. the new questing system looks like it will be more in depth with the story and the introduction of archeology to tell us even more. Ive read the books and all the lore on the site and i cant wait to see it for myself in the new classic zones.

This coming expansion is going to be a huge one for me. There are so many changes that are very appealing to me and im assuming to many other players as well. There isnt one single thing that I am looking forward to most but there is one that is above most other. I have been playing a resto druid since vanilla and have completed all the raid content during their time of release. I love this game and all it has to offer. I am looking forward to all the new complex challenges that are going to be introduced into the game interms of new dungeons and raid content along with all brand new boss mechanics that are going to make me have to continue improving.

Oh, jeez. What -isn't- there to like about this? I think what I'm going to enjoy the most will be the new races to play. It's going to open up SOOOO many opportunities for role play. I think I'll probably play a Goblin first, while I wait for the Alliance's Worgen-mania get over with. I mean, on an RP server, lots of Twilight RP is gonna rear its ugly head. I've already planned out my own cartel and everything. Claussen Needlewrench of the Needlewrench Cartel. We specialize in weapons. And any other goods you need, heehee. I'm always handy to have around - for a price.

Does that sound goblin-y? Haha.

Ooh, and you know what else I'm REALLY gonna love? Deadmines and Shadowfang Keep, heroic style. I've loved VanCleef since I've started playing World of Warcraft, and Shadowfang Keep was my all-time favorite Old World instance. Getting a challenge from VanCleef again is just gonna make my day. And again, it's gonna be great for RP. Imagine a party of Worgen in SFK? It's gonna be awesome.

Needless to say I can't wait for Cataclysm. If nothing else, the reworked world of Azeroth is gonna be great. But, ya know. That's all I have to say about it. Cataclysm for the win!

2nd post. im determined. So, why else am i exicted? simple, this is a mix between raiding/dungeons/ class changes. I play a warlock and im telling you im obsessed with raiding. I would spaz out if i could put my brand new warlock talents to the test in these new raids and dungeons. i do raids weekly, and icc still hasnt gotten boring since doing it every week for the last 7 months... lol. but i can not wait to try my new warlock talents i would be so exicted to try out all the new mechanics, it would be so fking exciting to try this, and i the raids look crazy. skywall is alrdy my new favorite raid and i havent even seen it :). the dungeons ? heck of fun, the raids? twice as much! i cant wait to try everything in my way! i want cataaaa...

I'm most excited about guild perks. I've been in one of the biggest guilds on my server for a long time, and I think that we're going to be one of the first to unlock the perks. The idea of more skillups, more experience, more reputation, and more gathering mats sounds awesome, especially to someone with a ton of alts (like myself)

There is way to much to be excited about. But the lore and story telling of this expansion, I feel will be what really makes me excited about playing Cataclysm. Malfurion coming back from the Emerald Dream, Cenarius may be returning, Thralls mission to save Azeroth.. and of course the political chaos that will be the Horde when Thrall takes his leave.

Can't wait to emerse myself in the stories and plots of this expansion.

What I really want to do in Cata is to relax at that new golbin swimming pool in Azshara. Finally a reason to take off all of my clothes in game without looking like a lunatic.

The part of Cata I'm definitely the most excited about is the new world created from what was old content, seeing all the fighting between the Alliance and Horde all over the world, and the new raids.

I love all of the planning that has gone into Cataclysm. It's the expansion that really needed to happen because there were plenty of parts of the old world that were making less and less sense. I'm really glad that they're bringing Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms up to speed, but actually, my favorite part, is going to be all of the new quest lines to do. The updated 1-60 leveling experience is my favorite part of Cataclysm.

Alright, alright, alright. I know there are a whole lot of exciting new things in Cataclysm but, the one thing I am mostly looking forward to is going back to Azeroth. True, TBC was amazing and people really loved that whole new world to explore and we all know that Lich was kind of a bust :/ but even still, I know we have all missed that nice Azerothian feel. Now we can experience Azeroth without things getting stagnant from all the familiar places such as Loch Modan and the good ol' Barrens. This is what people such as myself and others have been dying for. It is perfect because it puts a whole new face on levels 1-58 that most of us view as a get-through-this-as-fast-as-you-can kind of thing. Plus, we get to finally find out what that freakin' tornado looking thing in the middle is and not die from fatigue trying to swi to it! YES! :D The bringing back of the old world is truly, incredibly exciting and the fact that it has a whole new face on it? Astounding.

My main is a Boomkin, so I'm probably most excited about the new UI elements and changes to the Druid class, as well as getting that new mushroom attack :D. The Paladin changes also sound very interesting, I've been leveling a Protection pally, so it'll be fun to see the new pally stuff(like the cd pet thing, holy power), and getting to experience the other pally stuff(like wings, divine plea, fun shield tossing) as I continue to level. I would love to try out all the new fun things that will be going on in Cataclysm, and hope to have the chance to.
