The thing I am looking forward to the most in Cataclysm is experiencing the progression of the lore. This is the single aspect of the game that beats all others in my view. Having read more than 5 books with "Stormrage" most recently, I want to experience Deathwing's return and finally get to meet Malfurion within the World of Warcraft.

I am most excited about the possibility of raiding as arms in Cataclysm. I didn't like how dps warriors were forced into fury for the bulk of WOTLK, and with the new class masteries and passive bonuses, raiding as arms looks like a real possibility.

I'm realy looking forward to the class changes. The paladin "holy power" change which will finnaly give paladins alot of depth which their gameplay right now is realy missing. Another change is all the healing specs, all 4 classes got some kind of damage talents which not only make leveling easier but make mixing damage and healing in party be the right way to go for them. And finnaly the dk talents change are pretty good, if its the one tanking tree or making frost a 1h/2h damage tree, its looks realy cool and I cant wait to play.

I'm extremely excited about being able to play as one of my most favorite races in Warcraft: Goblins. I'm also really excited over the total overhaul Blizzard has done in redesigning the Old World, changing the zones, adding new ones, adding new quests to replace old ones. Plus, flying mounts IN Azeroth! This expansion is going to bring new life, and old veterans into the game!

Stuff that I find exiting in cataclysm:

1: Being able to fly in the older world, let's be honest, walking sucks, and riding does too, I wanna fly and soar the open skies, and it has allways bugged me that in the old world I'm stuck at ground lvl, now on the upcoming cataclysm, I'll be able to fully explore every last corner of the world, no more hidden corners, no more annoying landscape making navigation dificult.

2: The Revamped talent system allows you to "feel your spec" at lvl 10 no less, previously you had to wait to at least lvl 30 to really feel your spec being diferent from any other, like, if you are a shaman, only at 40 do you truly feel like an enhancement shaman, being able to dualwield, use stormstrike, lavalash, ect. Now all specs of all classes can truly feel their specialization at 10.

3: Terrain Phasing, do I need to say more? as it is, the standard Phasing was pretty awesome in WOTLK, the way how the scarlet enclave passes from a paradisiac land, to a barren scorched ruin once u've done all the quests is quite unique and fantastic, same goes for the storylines in stormpeaks and icecrown that did made heavy use of phasing. Now on cata, we have terrain phasing further changing the way the world looks like as we quest, it makes us really feel like we're leaving a footprint on the world as we live our adventures in it.

4: Actual strategy being needed in instances, in WOTLK most heroics (with the exeption of the last 3) were easy to sum up, with: Tank groups them up, party AOE's them down, rinse&repeat. Not anymore in cataclysm, with caster mobs having to be interrupted, healers having to be CCd or silenced, single-target nuking being a must-have, a target-priority system for the special encounters, healer actually having the inherent risk of going OOM if they aren't carefull, and more. It will make instancing feel exiting again, sure this will make the farming of Heroic poins quite a lot harder, but also more dinamic instead of the boring experience it is now (I can literally read a book while I tank most heroics, I finished reading "Don Quixote" while farming my pre-raiding tank gear :P)

and the best for last:

5: a complete and (god knows much needed) revamp of all the old questlines. Don't get me wrong, I love the old world, it was beutifull, and some quests (like Tirion's redemption, or the battle for darrowshire) were quite epic, but being completely honest, quests from 1 to 58 feel horrible, the pacing is nasty, the quest-desing is boring, the quest rewards quite pathetic (and from the aesthetic POV quite ugly too)and it makes the act of leveling an alt, feel like a tedious chore, but this will not be the case anymore, now some of the best quests are from 1 to 58 (Can you say with me STONETALON MOUNTAINS) wich will give this game something it lacked previously, HUGE REPLAY VALUE, the act of starting again will feel fun and exiting once more.

there's other features I like (like the new guild system or reforging) but these pale in comparison to these 5.

As a crazed althaholic, having a fresh 1-60 content will be like having a whole new game for me. Can't wait to feel like a newbie again not knowing almost by heart every quests there is to do almost everywhere.

I will also love being able to see the whole world from my flying mount / flight form

Like anyone else I would love to take part in beta testing to provide constructive feedback. To see the new zones, dugeons, old zones, new characters, and to make a Tauren Pally because they are awesome. I will make a tauren paladin run to Ironforge and bubble hearth since they will have the best animation.

I've played WoW off and on since vanilla, I've never had a chance at beta and would like to try it.

    EPIC STORY TIME

After rounding up 39 friends, we adventured across the vast continents of azeroth to the lairs of both Onyxia and Nefarion. The journey was hard and challenging but we finally made it, just to have the server crash on us f*** you blizz! Anyways back to my epic story, after many whelps, deep breathes, bad color drakionds (Nefarion survived for that one week), bad class calls, and mages dieing @20% just to flex their AoE E-penises both dragons had died. The leader presented me with the head of each dragon, but no one cared to help me carry them to Org.

My trohpies weighed 2 tons and had the odor of Kungen from Ensidia. I walked across deserts, snow covered hills, oceans, plains, and swamps barefoot! Due to my boots durability breaking on that last attempt of the dragons. With my what I thought was my last breath I had crawled my way into Orgrimmar. I adorned both the heads of Onyxia nad Deathwing on pikes in the entrance of orgrimmar. I was considered a war hero until the other top guild on my server killed onyxia. I'm guessing she got cloned quite a few times.

Since cataclysm, Deathwing has stolen my trophies and stiched those bastards back together. I must get into beta to gain a tactical advantage on Black dragonflight so I may return my trophies to their spots. This time I will bring not only nefarion's and onyxia's head I will get Deathwing's head! It will be my greatest accomplishment. Thanks to the goblins we have the technology to build better transportation options for the heads!

I'm excited for leveling more alts during Cataclysm. I will have a new selection of race/class combos, like Tauren Paladin and Troll Druid to roll. Also I can roll a Goblin or a Worgen and play through those starting zones. Also the leveling experience through old Azeroth is going to make leveling an alt a lot easier and more interesting.

So a friend of mine has great plans for slaughtering as many Worgen as possible. He has been making macros to spam for every kill he is going to get. After hearing him go on and on about his planned genocide I have decided to make a Worgen Death Knight (maybe faction/server transfer an existing DK I have if it will let me.) and after rushing to max level see my way to crush his plans. RealID telling player locations is full of win for tracking down targets :)

I am excited about alot of things I have seen in the new xpack, Worgen being up there along with flying in the old world. But to be honest I am really just excited about the people, my old friends are coming back, my guild is coming back together, and just like the last xpack we are going to have alot of fun playing the new content together and recruiting new members and friends. I wish everyone another couple awesome of years of WoW fun :)

Mostly im looking forward to the major changes to Azeroth, be able to go trough the old world but in a new shape. Also the big changes to palas is looking rly nice and finally we got some way to ***** up the rotation, something more then the "Bind ur spells to random keys on ur keyboard and roll ur face over it if dps is low start banging ur head against it", works for me everytime!

And why not lvl up a new toon, and why not make that toon a Worgen or a Goblin to fight our way to freedom in the new awesome starter areas.

OMG i cant wait to try how each talent tree makes u instantly feel like ur in that tree. It will be so easy to level up, and 85 will be awesome, probably over 100k health, and many new battlegrounds! paladins will start with an awesome skill which is obtained at lvl 40-50, crusader strike!! plus the levelling from 70-80 will be much easier! i cant imagine how cool tauren paladins and tauren priests would be. Worgen death knights/ warriors will look AWESOME. i Cant wait to see how the barrens will look, how the entire map of azeroth will change. Armour will be so cool, and a whole new profession!! archeology!! im excited for EVERYTHING thats coming in cataclysm, especially lv 85! Truely the best expansion yet to come. i cant wait!

Definately the revamped talent trees.

I'm so glad they cut all the boring/bland talents out, and now we finally have decisions to make other than which cookie-cutter build to spec into.

Single-Minded Fury FTW!

One of the most anticipated expansions ever. What can i say? So many changes and I want to see them all. I am a bit of an explorer as well and like to experience everything the game has to throw at me. Probably why I am so slow to level. I spent most of my mid - high forties in Azshara traveling from one part of the map to another and being utterly fascinated with the design of the zone. I suppose the low player population helped add to the desolate and rather wild ambiance of
the place. That was just one of my favorite. It is also rather amusing to find various puns that are scattered throughout the world.

Yet, quite frankly, I was most hoping to see the rebirth of the frost-fire build as the high-flying, butt-kicking, dominant dps spec (then again... I could settle for the spec balance :) ). I've been playing on and off ever since the Burning Crusade came out and my first (and probably the only) class that I could really play was a mage. The frost fire specialization came very naturally to me. In fact, I remember being rather surprised that when I looked at the suggested raiding specs the one I ended up with through natural gameplay was pretty damn close. I was so adamant about playing my spec that I'd spend hours blasting Silverymoon dummies to pieces just to try and get my DPS close to the arcane spec. Unfortunately for me I was never able to achieve that as the arcane always came out on top. So at the end of the day what I am eagerly awaiting the release to see what sort of destruction my glass cannon can wreak on the puny humans.

I would probably have to say that the thing I am most looking forward to in Cataclysm are the profession changes. In Wrath, I remember choosing professions that had better end-game bonuses over the professions that I would have probably preferred to choose. In Cataclysm, however, I believe the playing ground shall be leveled, and we will all be able to choose whatever professions we would like. I am also excited about many of the new and interesting items to be crafted by many of the crafting professions (one of which being the hinted alchemy mount). I believe that Cataclysm will bring about an age where players will level a profession not just for a gem transmute or a cooldown, but out of the fun that professions will bring to the players.

What i am most excited about is:
1) Testing out the New Hunter Focus, and seeing how the new spell "Camouflage" works.
2) Leveling with my friends testing out the Vash'jir, 1st underwater place ever in WoW.
3) Maybe even go through the painful leveling again with a whole new class and race like the goblins to see all the sweet new changes that Blizzard has and will make.
4) Tauren Paladins? Now we can step on gnomes and have it be a holy and respected action =D
5) Also when i was younger that i was now, i always dreamed that i could go out in a desert and dig up dinosaur bones, so i have to say i am looking forward to the new Profession, Archeology since its kind of like a goal to me personally. =P
6) Of course I am also excited about checking out the raids like Blackwing Descent and Bastion of Twilight, hopefully they are more difficult than most of them in WotLK.

BRING IT ON BLIZZARD!! *battle scream*

Howdy!

I am probably one of the few people that is actually excited about the new profession. It has been too long with just first aid, cooking and fishing. Besides will be fun prowling around and trying to be azeroths new indiana jones :D

other than that I really like the look of the ui and the new ding graphics much better and wished i had it for all my alts. And yeah looking forward to the new azeroth and almost everything else that comes with this new fresh blow of wind to this game that i love :D

There is of course no one single thing I look forward to: The new races, the remake of Azeroth, new talent trees, Archeology etc. But the one thing I look forward to most is new raiding instances in Cataclysm. I hope they will be great fun.

So many things, so little space...

First, I'm looking forward to getting out of Northrend, it's too cold for my liking.

Next, I'd say I'm looking forward the difficult 5mans... or rather watching dps pull aggro off the tank and get one shotted :).

I'm not really excited about the new races, though I would like to see a goblin give a tauren a piggy back ride.

New class/race combos will be nice.

Only having to grind out 5 levels instead of 10 on all my alts will be AWESOME!

Oh, also, will be interesting to see what they do with the pvp brackets for 80-85.

New content will be nice... things have gotten rather stale.

The number one thing I want to do in Cata is pay a worgen to to follow me around in a top hat and tux and be my butler, though I'll admit a blood elf female would be cooler if they had a bunny suit.
