What I am really looking forward to is the change in the lore.
In fact, with the first and the second expansion, we were in a world where the major events were part of our past : Kael-thas and Illidan are already in Outland before the creation of the first WoW, Arthas is already the Liche King. All we do, and I admit it is already great, is to try to fix the things from our history.

What I really like with Cataclysm is that we are in the events. We do not undergo the past events, trying to fix them. The rise of Deathwing is not part of our past, we definitely live it.
And for a rp player, there is nothing greater than that.

I am very interested in the new talent trees and also the way they plan to change healing and tanking a bit in Cata. Being able to get a chance to test out these new ways would be great. I played WotLK beta and enjoyed having a first hand look at the new quest lines and talent trees, as well as seeing what changes they made as they evolved to their finish product when going live. As an avid Warrior player, the many changes they are making to them has me extremely interested. I would like to be able to test them out and give feed back like I did in WotLK beta once again.

As I have been playing since WoW launched, being able to test out the new quest lines and see the changes first hand on the new areas would be great. I would love to be able to give my feed back to the devs and do my part to make the game more fluid and enjoyable. I've lvl'd many 80's, both Alliance and Horde, and have loremaster on two of my characters. Being able to express my thoughts on the new quest changes would be wonderful, this above most has gotten me the most excited, new quest lines and better itemization on lvl gear.

For some the game has ended with the defeat of The Lich King, but for me it's still only beginning. The major change to the WoW world we know is a big reason as to why I feel that way. Being on the front lines of the new changes and helping them evolve in a good direction is what I want to do. I Love playing a warrior most of all and being able to put my 2 cents in and seeing if it's worth it to the devs would be great. You pay to play, why not invest in your money and time a bit more and share you own thoughts with devs willing to listen. Thank you for the opportunity to participate.

New zones, remodelled old zones, Archaeology, more Titan lore, Skywall, everything about the expansion is giving me a nerdgasm. I'm also especially looking forward to how the Paladin overhaul works uot. My main is going to be my tankadin, so I'm really excited about that.

Most importantly, however, I'm looking forward to the new start. A few friends and myself are planning on creating our own guild, with the new raid system, and we're really looking forward to breaking into the new, fresh content together.

I am looking forward to 2 things the most.

First, the leveling experience from 1 to 60. I think the changes they made bring the attention and interest towards the next quest instead of just being an annoyance and getting through azeroth as quickly as possible. The starter zones deffinatly changed for the better. They seem to involve the player into the game alot better than the live ones do. The one I'm most interested in is the troll druid toons. I'm dying to try one of those out.

Second, the dungeon difficulties. Throughout wrath all instancing was was AoE fest every pull of every instance of every tier ever. I am looking forward to bringing some difficulty into the instances, where if you mess up, your dead. That's fun, that's interesting. It builds skill at avoiding mechanics that you should be avoiding anyway and it deffinatly helps in raiding where avoiding mechanics like FIRE ON THE FLOOR happen often. I'm deffinatly looking forward to seeing bad players finaly realizing they are bad when they constantly die in instances over not getting away from the fire, getting cleaved on, running out of void zones, etc...

All of this with top hats. HAVE to have one of those.

I really cant wait to see the changes to the shaman class more so the elemental side. As a die hard elemental shaman I have always wanted the talents to be spruced up a bit and to see the class more dynamic and so far what i have read about cata has got me so excited about them all over again! Shamans will probably play a big part in cata too because of all the elemental devastation and chaos which will add to the lore of the class and the general unique feeling of playing a lightning throwing mystic.

I cant wait to roll a goblin, still debating what class, but I'm leaning towards a warrior, also looking forward to all the new quests and flying in azeroth.

I am realy exited about the class changes. Can't wait to play my fav clases with their new talents. I will also want to level and explore the changed zones. I also wish to start a worgen hunter and druid {my most favourite clases [I just dont get one thing how come the worgen are gonna be druids, not that I dissaprove but still I cant imagine their connecion with nature(maybie their feral spirits, idk) it wouldnt be so stange if the draenei were chosen as the second alliance race that can practice druidism]}

The next thing that realy exites me is what are the death knight gonna do, since the lich king is dead what are their talent point quests gonna fit. If they arent gonna change their starting zone ether they gonna reduce the quest or each quest will give less talent points. I even wonder if Blizzard is gonna make the DK start from lvl 1 they havent sayed anything about that.

I'm really looking foward to everything!

The changes made to Azeroth as the whole world changes, the lore, the continents. This is a huge change that really draws everyone in.

From what I've seen, I like how the horde is trying to fight off battles on the homefront, and reistablish themselves as a strong group of races, rather than being buddy buddy with the Alliance.

The guild leveling system is also something I know my guildies and I have been looking foward to as a progressive raiding guild. From the list they gave us of all the bonuses, I really will enjoy the exp, and monetary boosts that we recieve. (And Mass Ressurection for those of you who wipe constantly.)

Also, I really want to relive my glory days of WoW, leveling a new character from level 1 to the level cap just to be amazed by the quests, the constant wandering around exploring the nooks and crannies to see what exactly if anything I can do.

As new characters go, I really want to see what the old (and new) starter zones are going through. From videos I've seen the Tauren are fighting off Quillboars and made quite a bit of defensive changes to their towns.

Also I noticed leveling and acquiring skills have changed, which I can't wait to mess around with. I saw that you of course level normally, but your spells and abilities rank up over time, so you only need to purchase them once. I really want to see how well that works and keeps money in my toons' wallet!

Ugh just waiting drives me crazy!

I really can't wait for this expansion, as soon as I saw the reservation was available at my work (Gamestop.) I quickly put it down and waited patiently. Next is a collector's edition which I'm eagerly awaiting.

Cataclysm is going to bring many, many changes to the old face of Azeroth. But the one thing that I am most excited about is the sheer amount of new content and zone transformation for all players, Alliance and Horde alike, to experience. For five years I have trudged the many wildernesses of Azeroth, as hunter, druid, priest, and beyond. And now, with Cataclysm on the horizon, I can experience the World of Warcraft in a way I never have before. In a bittersweet turn of events, favorite places such as Ashenvale and Elwynn Forest will take on a new look. The Barrens, a loathesome sore of a leveling zone, will become lush and full of new life that my fresh adventurers will actually want to explore. Desolace - a gray, dusty area - will be transformed into a paradise. The Plague that tormented northern Eastern Kingdoms will be fought back, and new life will grow in its place.

For five years I have seen and done the same things many times over. But now...now I'll get to experience a whole new Azeroth and relive the days of old when my brother and I first started playing, and everything seemed so expansive and new. Right now, Azeroth seems a bit stale, so I very much look forward to charging headlong into a new World of Warcraft.

Signed,
Huntress of Ysera

I really really want to know how the Lore is evolving in Cataclysm. You're hearing all these rumors about Garrosh getting warchief, our beloved leader of the tauren getting killed, Mount Hyjal coming under assault again and lots of other nasty stuff, but how much of that is actually going to happen ? And, most specially, how do you get to to experiance it as a player ? I guess a lot of quests ofcourse, but anything like they did with the questline about Wrathgate ? Cause that was damn epic (even more as a Horde)
Hard to say if you even can find out how the new class mechanics work tbh, since it all looks like a lot of work-in-progress.
And I can't wait to roll a Holy Cow xD

What I am most looking forward to is trying out a new race, and experiencing the new quests/content on that new race. I am also looking forward to having to gear my main up again and progress through the new dungeons and raids. I would like to just explore old, now new, Azeroth.

I know its crazy typical but I'm insanely excited to finally roll a Worgen. I'm known in my guild and friends to be a lore junky, but Worgens easily peak my interest the most. I've memorized passed events from Velinde Starsong, all the way through to the book of Ur (which i still carry in my bank) and easily defected to the Alliance after 2years plus of hanging out with my Hordies. Kinda bummed as some are about our new found Alliance...alliance, but also understand the only tie to horde we'd have is the "thanks for ditching us Worgen, Nightelves. We eat you now kay?"

I've hunted every tinted worgen in the game, seen every item related, had tea with the shade of Arugal in Grizzly, made Shadowfang Keep my base of operations, and cried at the mountain range surrounding Gilneas as i swam around it in live. Is it too much to ask to let me get a head start at running naked (fur covered of course geez) in the forest with my kin?

Im looking forward to all the changes in cataclysm from the 2 new cool races, come on who doesn't want to be a worgen or goblin, to the reshaped world of Azeroth. I cant wait to go toe to toe with the new badass Deathwing and all his evil minions. Im excited to try the new class changes as i have an alt of every class with 5 80s. I have played since vanilla and look forward to continue for a long time to come.
