Cataclysm Closed Beta Key Contest!Follow

#1127 Jul 27 2010 at 7:10 AM Rating: Decent
I'm looking forward to the new races of course but also the changes being wrought on the old world and the re-ignition of the Horde/Alliance hatred and of course the raise of the level cap and the new dungeons and raids that will be apart of it. Also to see how the story of the game will progress and evolve.

I have played almost every class at 80 and have raided with them so I look forward to brigning them along to 85 to see the changes to the largest MMO with them.

I am looking forward to the new graphics (the water screenshots look amazing) and content (hard 5 mans woot!), both for post 80 and for new characters

The thing that I am most excitet about when it comes down to the cataclysm is the new paths from the old world. To be able to reach further with the vanilla content and reexperience leveling with beloved shaman ( wich gets some awesome new spells) and master the new soulshard system with my Warlock.
Deathwing - here we come.

I want to see how CS can help pally tanking, what and how effective will the Guardian of Ancient Kings be, Healing Hands while tanking woot. I'd also like seeing the gobelin starting area as well as the new architecture of dongeons, the egyptian like Uldum and the new water effect. I would also like to fly over the Barrens and all over azeroth.

Thanks

I have to say I'm excited that Azeroth is getting a face lift. It will be nice that Org is the cool place to be again. I'm glad that they were able to bring us back though a great piece of lore as well Deathwing coming back is a fantastic concept.

I am most looking forward to the new starter quests. I am sick of the old starter quests.

I'm looking forward to seeing all those quests we all took part in so long ago actually having an "effect" on the world (ex: the spreading of life in the Barrens from the oases connected to Wailing Caverns). I've always loved doing all the quests for the stories involved, and to see those stories evolve and actually affect the world they're set in is really exciting, to me. I'm probably going to spend a ridiculous amount of time just exploring and taking in the changes.

It kinda boggles my mind though that people who join after Cata won't really know what it was like beforehand. It kinda makes me feel privileged, but sad, too, because they won't really be able to appreciate the changes (then again, as is inevitable with any sort change, at least that'll mean less people to whine about it, too ;).)

Im looking forward to the new phasing, questing will prob become more interesting when u feel like stuff is happening in the world. Liked what blizzard had done in WoTLK with some quests, made u feel like u where actually getting somewhere. I definetly like to see more of this. Really exited to try everything out=)

I think the thing I am most looking forward to in Cata is the new leveling experience. I really like Worgen and I am psyched about Goblins. Even the Deathwing story gets me excited. But, above all of that, I like to level characters. I have seven level 80's (working on getting 8 and 9 done before Cata), and I really enjoy the leveling experience as it is. Once I heard they were revamping the entire old world, I knew I had to play it. I have even set up characters on a second server so I can level even more!

As far as what I would look forward to most in the beta.... I like witnessing (and participating in) the growth and development of this game. I was in the Wrath beta and it is amazing how different the release was from the original implementation of the beta.

I'm looking forward to making a goblin. Been over there racial talents and they seem pretty awesome, and as others have mentioned it will be nice to get back to "vanilla" WoW. I'm also looking forward to being able to fly in Cata, always hate having to take flight master and your flying and you see that node you need for mining or herbing and you can't get it cause you are on a 6 min flight going somewhere and can't just jump off to get it.

I'm looking forward to the ability to fly essentially anywhere in the game, giving the opportunity to explore the secret and little-known areas in the game, the strange designer areas where things have been left to be found by people randomly swimming off the coast of a zone, i wonder if they'll create any easter eggs in the old world for any avid flyers?

I am really looking forward to so many things when Cataclysm is realeased in fact I have even just upgraded my pc in antisiptation for the release. But one of the main things I am looking forward to is creating my first druid, I have decided to wait until I can create a worgen druid. I am looking forward to creating my worgen, and then leveling. I am really excited to discover the new quests and new areas.

I am quite sad that Azeroth as we know it will be changing forever, but it is also really exciting because from the pictures I have seen so far it is going to be amazing. Also flying everywhere will be fantastic, because I am rather lazy lol.

Can't wait for the release.

A very excited Shadow Priest :)

I'm looking forward to the new raids and exploring the new Azeroth, and not having to run around on ground mounts.
Hopefully BRM will still be mount-free so I can get some decent world pvp there like in vanilla.

@Galkaman

I think it's safe to say that 70% of the posts are from people who made multiple accounts to get a beta key, and the remaining 30% are all regular Wowhead visitors. Only way to check it by tracking their IP, I guess. :P
I'm just going to let my luck decide, though. Still plenty of upcoming opportunities to get into the Beta, and I'm still working on my mount collection anyway...

Im really excited to see how fun the boss encounters are. Im also excited for how the whole world is going to change and im ready to explore it all. In cata id be willing to start a fresh toon just to go through the new lower level zones.I like how they are changing the talent trees and how it explains what each tree will give you b4 u even choose. Im also real pumped up for learning my classes again. Thats what made WoTLK fun for me :D

I think I am most excited about the new leveling experience from 1 to 50. I hope i can get some of my friends into playing WoW if the "vanilla" leveling isnt too boring anymore. Also I am eager to see how the new talents and talent trees fit in the process of leveling and endgame. Of course I also want to see my priest in new armor!

And so much more: Which could be the best professions to make profit. Look if there are more epic questlines like Wrathgate etc.

I am mostly excited about the change in the healing dynamics, ive been playing since Vanilla wow and ever since burning crusade the healing dynamics have changed a lot. At level 60 raiding Zul' Gurub you had to actually use tactics in your healing. Not just press the big flashy button. I really want to experience a change in the dynamics and to enjoy the healer class that bit more!

Oh wow where do I start?

1. OLD WORLD FLYING!
2. New starting zones -- I normally play Horde but I'm definitely making a Worgen.
3. Heroic SFK -- SFK is one of my favorites!
4. Archaeology -- I was sad to hear they took out Path of the Titans, but I'm still interested in how arachaeology will play into the game.

- First of all, the best thing with cataclysm is that Blizzard brings back the vanilla feeling (atleast the zones)

- The new talent rewamp is brilliant, if you want to lvl a affliction warlock you will gain som special abilities directly when you lock to one tree, so imo it's the next best thing.

- The stats, ratings replaced with rating gains on e.g agi.

- Tanks don't need to stack defense rating anymore and be as lycky as Druids always been.

I think nothing would quite beat that first thrill of taking to the air in the old world. The first thing I'll do is take off and fly everywhere I can, checking all my old hunting grounds and, of course, exploring all the new places that used to be just untextured terrain between zones.

I'm really looking forward to the new lore.... Seeing how everything has changed is what got me in Cataclysm. I'm especially interested in the development of the night elven story and also the new tension between the horde has great potential of turning into a great story. There's also the new stuff ... Deathwing and the aspects going all out on eachother... atleast i hope that's going ot happen. Another thing is the nostalgic return to the old world... harder content less handholding and really that's about it!
