I'm excited to try the new skills, and revisit some of the old dungeons... but the most exciting part has to be seeing the world change and watching the story and lore unfolding, and being a part of that story. Such an epic feeling and environment.

I have to say what I am most excited about this coming expansion, well, there are quite a few things I cannot wait to dig my teeth into.

First being a change of pace with the class I love. I love being a mage more than anything else, but playing with the same talents/cookie-cutter specs for a few years now, can get really old. When Caty hits live, I am sure there are still going to be a few "best" builds, but there are going to be a lot less people who because they can google think they can arbitrarily decide so and so talent goes here because so and so said to. I am really looking forward to start over from scratch with theory-crafting itself. Having new numbers and stat weights to play with seems rather exhilerating to me, cannot wait to tear them to pieces.

Another crucial change I think WoW was in dire need of, was a real feeling of comradery. With the introduction of guild ranks, and guild levels, I think now people might think twice about leaving their current guild. I think this would help stem the problem of the better players gravitating to the few "best" guilds on a server and give others a chance to flourish.

I think that having 10/25 man raid instances drop the same loot is a really good idea on blizz's part to help give people who work just as hard in 10's as others do in 25's, what they deserve. The only reservation I have, is it can be quite difficult to balance the same fight's mechanics for different quantities of players, and still warrant the same level of skill to progress.

Overall I have to say I am really excited for the upcoming expansion expansion and all it's aspects, cannot wait to race change my mage to a goblin baby!!! Oh, and I rolled a priest just to use lifegrip.

Hello all!

I've been playing wow since the 1st beta.. the vanilla beta :> I've also played in all the other betas but didnt get in this one. :(

I've always been a huge fan of this game, and i kinda lost interest in it over the years.. but never could bring myself to stop playing. When they announced Cataclysm I felt like they we're bringing back this game to life and i can't wait to start playing it!

I waited so long for this, I'll make great use of the beta key :P

PS: thx for the giveaway, great idea and it's sweet that ur giving back =)

A new expansion itself is what excites me the most. I like seeing what Blizzard will come up with next.

But the revamping of the original game hasn't really been done before in the genre and I can't wait to see the old world as if WoW was just lauching for the first time instead of it's 3rd expansion.

I'm looking forward the most to the new leveling experience.
In other words, I looking forward to the revamped zone and leveling another toon that doesn't have to do the exact same quests as the last million alts of mine.

I also look forward to seeing how all of the game mechanics changes pan out (i.e. new ability and talent progression).

I'm looking forward to all the quest areas that are getting revamped and thus getting a completely new leveling experience.
I've already had some sneakpeaks at the new Tauren area and it's COMPLETELY different than what it used to be, that makes me a wee bit sad on one hand (Nostalgiaaa) but on the other hand it makes leveling for old players more fun!

The other thing that excites me is the new races, although I have to say I am most interested in the new quests and new areas! :)

I can't wait until I get to see what the first raid will look like...it is going to be amazing to raid heal as a druid in the new raids with all the changes made to the class...Moreover I am excited to see how Tree of Life will work as an ability and not a shape shift! HURRY UP DEATHWING DESTROY THE WORLD OF WARCRAFT.

I'm really excited about leveling a Goblin and exploring every single new area. I always get this rush of joy whenever I see something new, like when I saw Zangarmarsh and Howling Fjord from an aerial view, it was just breathtaking. I'm also looking forward to the new quests because I love the lore and all the new story lines.

First part that im interested is ofc the new races. And how they get involved in the lore that is to come. And also the general lore that follows in Cata.
Other than that im also interested in how the new tallent trees and leveling is going to be. Also interested to try out the new content that has been shown on tankspots channel.

What I am most excited about for Cata is the healing! I play a priest and spec holy and dual spec disc. What I'm super pumped about is that healers will have to worry more about there mana. Right now healing is kind of dull. Spamming PW:shield or CoH when it's off cool down is just not that much of a challenge.

The thing I'm most excited about Cataclysm is the fact that it completely overhauls the "old world". Even old players will have to rediscover many of its (new) secrets.

Overall from the videos so far it looks great!

I am extremely excited to check out the new talent tree system, I love trying to figure out the best possible talents for my specs. I'm very interested in the balancing of Worgens and Goblins and obviously the new content overall. I think I would be a good beta tester, as I have tons of free time, and I have experience in beta testing other games where I discovered countless bugs. :D

I am most excited by the new structure of the world, I really like to explore and flying mounts is probably going to make it easier to get around "old" azeroth. I am also thinking of aiming for realm first Inscriber, so this will make me able to check out the terrains on where I can find the best herbs along with checking out the design of the multiple skills for orange skill for Inscription. Of course another thing that comes to mind is the floating fireball mechanism Mages get, Really want to check that one out!

As of writing this, I'm still unsure of Cataclysm, and even a little Skeptical.

I've felt that the game has been getting a little too easy lately, ICC is more fun than hard, the same with RS. I fill most of my time now leveling alts, and messing around with friends, but it's getting old, very slowly but it's getting old. The pain of leveling through Westfall yet again, the only positive is the meeting of Old Blanchy everytime I pass into the zone ^^

The reason I wish to join the Cataclysm Beta is to help me figure out if it's really worth continuing anymore. A new world to explore and level in, new encounters to change the mood of the level range that you're in. THe ability to fly to where you finally want to go without having to follow the roads, without having to be killed the the Cliff that you didn't know was there.

To test out if the changes to talents are good, bad or indifferent, the class changes throwing in a new element to game play, I mean come on, what mages doesn't want summon flaming orbs, or a warlock who isn't impressed by his new sexy green flames :D

When nearing the end though, to see if Blizz have answered everyones prayers, to see if the raids, the heroics, the game in general has become a Challange. Maybe it'll never be Vanilla again, maybe we'll never have to sit in a 40 man raid and hope to God you're the luck one to win the epic chest you've been dreaming of...if you were lucky to even be able to down the boss.

All in all, the main reason I would want to join the Beta would be to try out the new world and all it's features, but probably moreso to make me fall in love with the game the way I did when I first hit login.

For Beta and Cataclysm the thing that Im most looking to see is new Achievements. Most specifically I want to know what is going to happen to old achievements (World Explorer, Loremaster etc.) Ones that were tied in with pre-Cataclysm Azeroth. How are they going to be updated with the upheval to Azeroth.

That and to play around with the Goblins.

Ive never won any contest or been in any beta so here i go

1. im looking forward to the worgen starting zone because of the lore rich quests and the great phasing behind the zone.
2. I am looking forward to vashir because of the fact it is fully under water and i would like to see how combat and vision work under water.
3. I am excited to roll a goblin because ive only ever played horde once and it was a belf from a fraction changed at lvl 75 and so my hopes for the goblins are that it will give me a great lvling experiance i can get on the horde side.
4. I cant wait to see aburdine because it was my favorite city in vanilla and now that its destroyed i would like to go see were i proposed to my in game wife and see the good memories in the new destroyed city.
5. I cant wait for all the new quests that will make lvling interesting again because im an altoholic and i am obsessed with lvling and having a new place to do it is great even if it is the old places with new quests and a face lift.
6. I am soooo excited for the new boomkin talent tree it will be awsome.

I'm most excited about the new guild abilities. I've been disappointed since the dungeon finder came out, because guilds don't seem as tight as they used to. Implementing the ability to have more guild goals and guild perks is just super exciting to me. As a guild master I'm interested to learn how this all works as soon as possible. I know that the minute Cataclysm goes live, my guildies will be wondering how it all works and looking to me to give them the answers. I want to be able to tell them how to level the guild, what we can do, what perks we'll get, and how to do it all while having the fun we usually have.

I'm looking forward to being able to play a Tauren Pally. I don't care if people think it breaks the lore or whatever, I HATE Blood Elves (since day 1) and really want to play a horde pally.

i am looking forward to: KICK DEATHWINGS ***, he is a major lorecharacter and have been mentioned in one way or another by alot of the end bosses in vanilla / bc / wotlk. perhaps i can have his Legendary bottom jaw as an item after countless days of farming :p.

another thing wich i cant wait to do so is playing the new hunter in the new world. i have played a hunter in vanilla and tbc, and i would love to start over at lvl 1 with a worgen hunter and redo the old content. for good ol nostalgia sake :). besides who wouldnt want to play a worgen :D.....especially one wearing deathwings bottom jaw.... its mine... i tell you

I'm definitely looking forward to seeing how the world has changed (and, if I get in the beta, how the changes are under construction). It looks almost like they've replaced the game with its sequel, and I'd love to spend some time flying around and checking stuff out.

Leveling in the new Azeroth is going to be crazy fun, I wont try out all the new starting places at once ofc, I want to play like a couple-three at once and wait with the others, just for pure fun. Going to play with my brother which sits 3 m away from me now, lvling both Worgen and Goblin to lvl 85, were going to start with lvling our current to lvl 85 first ofc, getting the best gear!

I have been playing WOW since day one so things are getting a tad bit stale. I am thrilled that many of the original zones will get a face lift with new adventures and quests. The Hunter and Death Knight are my favorite classes but getting a little tiresome after making tons of them on many servers, so the new talents and way to play them thrills me. I am looking forward to the new levels and especially the new battlegrounds.

However, what rocks my boat the most are the new quests in new lands. I love doing quests since they are what leads me through whatever zone I am currently in. I find I discover things I would have never found on my own and they make the zones challenging. I am so up for some new challenges.
