Cataclysm Closed Beta Key Contest!Follow

I am most excited about re-learning all the new abilities, counters and quirks of every spec in a much broader (battlegrounds vs arena) PVP environment.

With so many specs gaining new mechanics tailored specifically for battleground play (think Shaman Earthquake, Mage Flame Orb and Curtain of Frost), old favorites like AV chokepoints and positioning battles at the Old Lumbermill are going to be truly epic.

I think at the moment what I am most looking forward to is going back and playing the old instances again, in heroic mode... nothing like doing SFK again at 85, and having trouble!

I've been looking forward to a refurbished Azeroth for years. Though what I'm most interested in all the plot holes and unfinished stories that are going to be brought to a finish! There were so many quests in Vanilla WoW that ended abruptly or hinted at a higher power (or lower power in the Old God's case) that I always wished would go further.

The one thing I'm extreamly exited about is flying in Azeroth. Why? Because, when you're flying in a flight path sometimes you'll see a village on a mountian side or camp site that you can't get too. I've always wanted to see these places. Even if there's nothing there but the buildings or camp! Plus it'll be easyer to explore places. For example: I'm Alliance, so it'd be easyer to explore Horde places with out being attacked or in pvp.

The other thing that I'm most very exited about is the Lore!!!! I'm a Lore freak and learning more about the new raids and new zones areas will be most exiting!! Just trying to figure out what happend, why it happend and the story behind these newley designed areas will be amazing!!!

And the last thing I'm exited about it leveling my 80 to make it bigger and better and trying to to learn the new spells and quest that we'll encounter on our way to level 85. Though I hate leveling (I take forever lol) it will very fun to re-learn the new areas, and their quests!! :D

Since the very first day i heard about flight form i have had one dream: to go to thunder bluff leap off the side and halfway down to the floor of mulgore shift and soar up into the clouds and around my favorite zone in the game. The day i learned this would be impossible was probably the single most disappointed moment i've ever had playing this game. More than any other part of cataclysm i will enjoy doing this most and will probaby do it many dozens of times. Flying in azeroth as a whole is probably the most exciting thing as it provides a whole new dimension (literally) to a place that has been like a second home for so many years.

In Cataclysm I am most looking forward to (hopefully) finally being able to explore Thelgen Rock (Wetlands) on the map... for almost 6 years the fact that there is this tan blob in the middle of the wetland has bugged me more than anything else about the game.

the part i am most exited about in cataclysm is getting to level all 10 of my characters to 85, levelling is one of the best experiences in this game and considering they are tripping the amount of quest content compared to WOTLK, i cant wait!

Also im looking forward to the new encounters so i can further progress in my boss mod addon!

It's a tough call for me: as a warlock, I can't wait to try out the new demonology. As a gnome, I can't wait to see my home city restored. As an engineer, I can't wait to see what new toys I can make. As a PvP'er, I can't wait to try rated battlegrounds. As a PvE'er, I can wait to see all the new lore.

But I have to say, all things considered, I really can't wait to fly to all those little nooks and crannies that we've only seen from gryphon-back; the Ironforge airport, the drake fighters in the Burning Steppes pass, the dancing troll village; I really just can't wait to set foot on all those places that have been tantalizingly out of reach for so long.

I'm looking forward to the new race and class combinations as well as the class revamps. I can't wait to roll a troll warlock so i can experience the troll's new starting zone and the changes made the warlock mechanics!

Cataclysm is shaping up to be one great expansion!

To me an exciting feature of World of Warcraft: Cataclysm is the changes to the Hunter class. As my main character is a Hunter, I am excited to see how replacing Mana with Focus will turn out. It seems right anyways, thinking of a Hunter with Mana seems wierd, and thinking of a Hunter with Focus seems just right. This will make running out of mana during a boss encounter null, just wait for the Focus to regenerate like a Rogues energy! Also the fact that they are taking away ammunition is also something that I enjoy hearing about. No longer do I have to worry about running out of arrows during an important raid, or worrying if I have enough gold to buy the arrows on the Auction House at sometimes outrageous prices! But overall I think I am excited about the entire expansion, with all of the new features being created and brought into the game of World of Warcraft.

I'm excited about so many things. Mainly I'm looking forward to all of the class changes and stat mechanics changes.

Of course the talent tree shake up, two new starting areas, exploring all of Azeroth with flight, 5 more levels to cap my main, and waiting for the damn thing to LOAD.....

My head may just implode before I get to any of that. :)

I am really excited for the new approach that Blizzard is taking to old content. The old world is changing to something completely different and each class is being revamped to be something relatively new. It feels like I will be able to experience the game in a whole new way. Do you remember that sensation you felt when you first stepped foot on the face of Azeroth? Well, come Cataclysm we all get to experience that same feeling all over again!

Honestly, I'm most excited about the guild perks. I want to help my guild level up, and have us all pull together to PvP, raid, etc. together.

The changes to raiding are great for this too, since we're a 10-man guild and we're damn excited to be on an equal footing with 25.

I am most looking forward to the dungeons/raids. The dungeons look awesome so far. Currently I am with a small group of friends that raid. We look forward for the (hopeful) challenge of 10 mans being on par with 25. It will be interesting to see how it all works out in the end.

The system that most intrigues me in Cataclysm is by far the new raid loot system. I've always been a fan of 10 man raids. Now I can have access to loot that is currently not available to 10 man guilds. Also Guild Perks are somewhat mouthwatering, i.e. Guild Money deposits and Repair reductions. Third Golbins baby. :)

I don't really like the current choices for rogues. However, I would love to try either goblin or worgen as rogues. It's practically the only class I'm shun away from, but I want to pick one up so I can try to level with one for the first time.

Hello! Hello?! Can anyone see this?! My name is Cloo, I'm a Goblin Shaman stuck on the Isle of Kezan with a bunch of maniacs! I have to make this quick, as the battery power of the M.A.C (aka the Metaverse Access Console) only allows me a few moments of access.

Something horrible has happened. A month ago I was sitting back with my friend enjoying a nice Kungaloosh, enjoying the view of the island and talking about our stock portfolios (I totally knew that ORG would go down the second the investors saw what a crummy place that was. Wooden fences as a defense?! Seriously?! They say they're building it up with steel now because of Deathwing... but we all know the truth) when I was suddenly interrupted by a stampede of Goblins I've never seen before.

Screaming something about a "BETAAAAA!". They're taking all of my food, killing the local wildlife, and worse of all they're getting all of the supplies I've worked so hard to prepare to sell to the Horde. When I complained to the Trade Prince, I was informed that they're "testing our lands to ensure that it's bug free". Bug free?! This is an island! I get at least 10 bugs a day deciding it's a good idea to take a death dip in my drink.

I know these goblins are here for something else... and I need to know what it is.

I powered up the M.A.C and searched for this "BETAAAA!", and now I'm here. I MUST learn more about this, and am willing to bribe whoever I have to with promises of gold beyond your wildest dreams. Please hurry, if one more of these maniacs asks me for a quest I have no problem shoving this M.A.C down their throat.

(If it wasn't obvious, I'm mostly excited about rolling a Goblin. I'm planning on making him a Shaman. I'm also excited and nervous about seeing how Azeroth has changed. I run around the "Old World" when I'm bored and think about all the memories I've had in all the zones with my friends, and I'm a bit worried about not being able to recognize certain areas anymore... but such is a "Cataclysm". I decided to make my entry a bit creative... hope that doesn't ruin my chances. Good luck everyone!)

I wrote this post in several different ways, and this pretty much sums it up:

I am actually excited for just about everything that Cataclysm is going to bring. The new talents, abilities, quests, new and redesigned zones, dungeons, and raids.

The only thing I'm not excited about is the paladin class redesign...have to get in game to see how that plays out.

Once I level my four 80s to 85, I plan to level up a Worgen Druid to go through all of the old redesigned zones.

Azeroth finally gets the changes it deserves. Flying mounts, zone revamps, and less Scourge. I think we can all be happy about that. Oh, and what's cooler than having a mount that actually moves fast underwater?
