Thing that gets me most excited about Cataclysm is the 10mans getting the same loot as 25mans. Less people I have to rely on to not be complete fools!

I'm excited to see the return of Neltharion aka Deathwing and also equally excited to see who kills Garrosh first, Sylvanas or Vol'jin.

Cheers!

When I first heard this new game called World of Warcraft was coming out.. I had been playing Everquest at that point for about 5 years I think. I played it from sometime in '99 to '04 UNTIL WoW came out... When I heard the beta was open for WoW I immediately applied for it.. and after that...I was hooked! So.. not only am I an original "Vanilla" Wow player, but I am one of the many lucky beta testers of what people now call "Vanilla" WoW. I had a great time making my character and exploring new lands. At the time I was playing with my then husband who is now my ex. Seeing as how he had bought the account for me and it was registered in his name.. he took it back when we got divorced. Unfortunately, at that point, I had to start all over again. But the thing is.. I didn't mind in the least.... I tried a whole new character and switched my allegiances as well and I loved playing the game even that much more.....And after 6 years of WoW I still enjoy it's ever changing game play.

With that said.. the things I'm most excited about in the new expansion is of course the new races. I am seriously considering changing my allegiances again. I love the Worgen. I've always been fascinated with the "werewolf" types of characters.. Whether in game or even in a book. I can't wait to see what new abilities they have!

Another thing I also look forward to is all the new terrain changes in the "old world" as I call it.. New exploring and such to be done. And with the ability to fly in Azeroth now.. that will be lots easier then when I did it a long time ago on my first account and also on my current account. ( SIDE NOTE )I think people who have "The Explorer" title before Cataclysm comes out should have that turned into a Feat of Strength. It takes a bit of time to RUN every where on Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms! Not everyone has that patience.. :)

I am also a profession geek.. So naturally I am very excited for the new Archeology! I think it will bring more time spent in the game and give a small break from "the grind" we all love so much!

One last thing I will enjoy.. With all the new class changes and talent changes.. It'll be like starting all over again almost in learning to play your character. I'm always up for a challenge......

With that said.. Cataclysm will make WoW a whole new game.. but.. it will still have the heart of what we all loved about it to begin with.....

CATACLYSM!

I am really excited about leveling in the new Azeroth. I have been wanting to level a Priest for some time and with the new changes coming and new races I feel leveling would be much more fun. That is what excites me the most.

Many years ago I traveled with a group of two friends to the top of Mount Hyjal. I had the opportunity to see things, in person, that most players never get to see. After exploring the zone thoroughly my friends decided to jump off the mountain, but I just hearthed. Shortly after our trip the zone was rigged with a system that teleported players out.

I have regretted not leaping from the highest mountain in the game for too long; the free fall from the top of Mount Hjyal is what I cannot wait to experience in Cataclysm.

The thing that has always interested me in WoW is the PvP. I'm very competitive and want to be the best at what I do. So the main thing I'll be interested in in Cata is the inclusion of rated BGs. Rated BGs will give PvPers another avenue to acquire their gear if they get burned out on arena or want to have a good time with 10-15 friends. On the same note I'm excited for PvP in general, resilience is changing (no more -crit and crit damage taken away is halved). But in the wake of that health pools look like they will be 100k+ in PvP gear. There is just so much changing in the PvP landscape, dispels will be different, a lot of classes are changing a lot and I'll have to learn every class over again for PvP.

Two big things really make me excited for cataclysm.

First off, the massive changes in how they are directing pvp to me is the best thing ever. After surviving WOTLK flawed and overzealous burst aspects, I look forward to the increased health pools, reduced healing, and general slower, more skill based combat that attracted me to the game in the first place. Rated Battlegrounds are also nice since they give another option for competitive pvp. While I won't dabble TOO much into this, It should be fun occasionally at the very least.

The entire revamp of the world is pretty snazzy too. Even as someone who despises alts, I really want to explore and level another toon just to try out all the classic zones as they stand in the new cataclysm world.

Well see first off let me tell you I play all the classes and i guess the new race/class combo's is one thing that got me very excited about. I can't wait to play a Tauren Paladin I think that is going to just kick some *** plus i've seen the starting area let me just tell you seeing how they advance the story just in that zone is amazing. I also have seen the goblin and worgen starting areas those are both just epic but my big thing is on the worgen starting are I might just pick one server and create 10 different worgen with all different classes just so I can run the Horde Gunship into the Forsaken and kill as many as I can. The improved UI is another thing that i'm just over joyed about. I've got several friends how has said that the UI and leveling was to slow and know I get to tell them that is all over the fact that they added Auto-Quest that is going to be cool and the fact they tell you know which spell you can learn so you can make the decision when to go back and learn the skills. I really dont know how to tell in words but every time I look at the information coming out from the beta it just makes me wan't the game now. All the new thing's in wow from the new UI for everything to the fact you can pick up any weapon that your class can use to the fact that Hunter's the most favor class for me get's it's pet a level 1 and i can get 5 active pet's with a total of 20 pet's in the stable no ammo and i dont have to worry about mana no more. With all of these feature's going in all i can say is holy crap and ive done plan for time off when every they tell us the release date.

The change that I am looking forward to the most is the new improved leveling in azeroth. I have leveled 10+ characters to 80 and have multiple others well on their way and can't wait to see how different the 1-60 experience is. That combined with the way you learn multiple abilties at level 10 as you choose your spec, as well as the new talent trees and the rate at which talent points are earned makes leveling an entirely new experience that I can't wait to try out!

I'm excited about the 10/25 man raid changes. I really hope it plays out well for everyone ( casual/hardcore ).

I also want to try leveling a new alt to experience all the new content they added for the 1-60 areas. I'll have to see if I want to try worgen out of not.

I'm not sure I like the idea of a holy cow, but I like the idea of opening up new race/class options.

I'm really excited about the new tanking "philosophy" and the reappereance of crowd control in the instance, after all I'm the main tank in my Guild. I think that those things will make tanking a little bit more challenge full and it will bring back that strategic feeling that I think was lost in WoTLK.
Thanks
"King Slayer" Death Knight Tank.

1)I'm extremely excited that they're redoing all the quests from 1-60. The starting zone quests were so boring I'm surprised i got into this game.
2) The new water effects they're adding in.
3) Archeology secondary skill. The lore of the game is interesting and it'll allow people to discover more of them and get some items also.
4) Improvements upon quest story telling.
5) The phasing thing that's going to be in there.
6) Flying in The eastern kingdoms and Kalimdor. It will give me the chance to lvl my long neglected jewel crafting skill.
7) The talent changes. A max end game hunter these days has about a 60% change to crit. It feels unnecessary to have a 85% crit chance in cata.
8) The paladin changes with the holy power system.
9) Holy paladins using melee to generate mana and holy power.
10) Getting to fight Death wing at the end of cataclysm.
11) Heroic Deadmines and heroic shadow fang keep.
12) The new class-race combination.
13) Guild leveling.
14) The major changes in Azeroth.
15) The changes to the Death Knight blood tree so that it's a true tanking tree now.
16) Getting your spec's signature attack at level 10.
17) The new character interface.
18) Giving a description of each talent trees at level 10. It will help all the new players.
19) Not allowing you to put different points in different trees until you hit the last teir of that tree's talents. Once again it will help the new players.
20) Funner quests in the game and the early levels.
21) Goblin starting zone.
22) Worgen starting zone.
23) New hunter pets models.
24) The Focus resource for hunters.
25) The new hunter pets debluffs.
26) The hunter skills: Trap launcher and Camouflage.
27) Hunters getting pets at level 1.
28) No more ammo.
29) Level 85.
30) More complicated boss encounters.
31) The balance druid's eclipse.
32) The new raids in cataclysm.
33) New gear in cataclysm.
34) New recipes for the professions.
35) New Battle grounds.
36) The return of pvp titles!
37) Damage over time spell ticks being able to hit critically.
38) Haste increasing the amount of Damge over time spell ticks.
39) Another Class having heroism.
40) The ability of shamans to use spells while running.
41) The rouge's smoke bomb.
42) The mage's curtain of frost.
43) Warriors getting a bluff from hitting max rage.
44) Death knights getting a chance to restore a random rune using frost strike, Death coil, Rune strike.
45) All the other new spells and class abilities.
46) New npcs.
47) The new glyph types.
48) The mastery system
49) Getting a stat bonus to wearing all of one type of armor.
50) The cataclysm
51) 10mans and 25mans getting the same loot.

And the change I'm looking forward to most is the new quest mechanics. Story, Items, getting the next quest in the chain with out having to go back to the quest giver, Items for the quest, rewards, and quest mounts.

Really? What am I not excited about?

Rogues with armor equivalent to mail! Thanks to the talent in combat tree that grants 50% bonus armor I will be able to actually go toe to toe with armor classes above leather. Recouperate gives me an extra heal to go with lifeblood and endless healing potion. I'll be self sufficient and will be able to quest so much easier.

Tree viability for rogues! Current system 2 PvE and 2 PvP viable trees. In cata so far all 3 are viable for PvP and I know for sure assassin and combat are viable for PvE. And I hope that sub is PvE viable again too.

Leveling alts will actually be enjoyable rather than a chore! No more do i have to ding 40+ just to feel like im playing my spec. Level 10 BAM instant class. Disc priest: Pennance, Demo lock: felguard, Sub Rogue: shadowstep, Frost Mage: elemental. Level 10-19 BG must be epic in comparison to what they once were.

Leveling through the new Azeroth. I played in vanilla and enjoyed every moment but years of the same thing gets old FAST and I can't wait to see the revamp.

New talent trees in general look amazing. Far less balance issues now, less being forced into a single exact spec to be optimal and more choosing your talents based on your playstyle. I've built at least 2 builds for every class so far. 6 for rogue and 3 for priest.

Class changes to paladin and death knight make them appealing to play now. Less easy mode combination of other classes and more unique gameplay.

The new glyphs sound like they will be amazing. Glyphs already provide a way to completely alter abilities and talents. With a new tier of glyphs available I can't wait to see what is possible.

Heroic Deadmines. DM has a special place in my heart. I want vengance as much as possible. I played in vanilla as a rogue and painstakingly collected together all the defias pieces except 1. The chest. I PuG'd that place 37 times. By the time i stopped pugging i wasn't getting exp for any of the mobs or bosses. I came back at lvl 40 and tried to pound my way through. I went through 4 times like that and still never got the chest. I just had horrible luck. And I can't wait to take my revenge on a more epic scale. Showing my new powers to that [edited for the forum] before he dies.

Rated BG's. Now things will actually be interesting in BG's. People will be more organized and things will actually run smoothly!

Worgen are awesome. Their /flirt and /silly are hilarious. And they seem to have an air of ferociousness about them that makes them perfect to be rogues(favorite class). "Since the change i like my meat rare, raw even, perhaps... struggling"

Quite honestly the only thing i am worried about is what will happen to the old world instances. I believe they said they won't be changing but still im worried.

I'm looking forward to flying in Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor. Really, after flying around Outlands and Northrend, it's a bit of a bummer to be bumped back down to 100% speed. Plus, who doesn't wanna swoop down on opposing factions in an epic way? *evil laugh*

... I'm okay.

I am very excited to visit the lands that were once a void. I am also looking forward to the new pets that my hunter can tame. Really looking forward to taming the Emerald Spirit, Highland Fox, and the Mastiffs. The new seahorse looks very cool as do the other 3D models. I also like the fact that all races start with a pet now. It will also be cool to play as a Worgen. The Two Forms racial trait will be awesome.

There are many more reasons to look forward to having new quests and new lands to venture throughout that can't be mentioned on one posting.

Thank goodness Blizzard constantly updates WoW and keeps us yearning for more.

I can't wait to test out the priest changes, since they've made the spec "Disc" alot more better for offensive priest pvp by adding Evangelism, combined with archangel an amazing talent. Life grip looks very intresting too, for example in pvp - a hunter goes to trap you, you lifegrip your partner into it, then dispel him thus saving you getting trapped. In pve it looks good if you've got new people in the fight, that are unsure where to stand in the first place, you can grip them to where they're sopoased to be, with new priest spells it's going to increase the skillcap of priests even more and bring more diversity to the class.

Shadow aparition in the shadow tree look really good, working like the ghosts in ICC - deathwhisper maybe, so could be avoidable but still very nice talent.

I'd love to play beta, help out with the bugs etc - seen a few streams where pw:b was clipping and they didn't report it; doubt they made it so you go inside pw;b then go out with the bubble still on you, meh.

The instances so far look really good, should be intresting to see how much of a change it is to heal in these instances, being geared or not, since they have to balance it, but ofcourse its beta so may not be implemented properly yet, if so im up for a challenge :P.

Would be nice to explore Azeroth in its new form, and see how the cities have changed so drastically, after playing wow for years will be nice to see the changes from the air heh.

The new talent trees so far seem good, will be nice to see how they are to play though, with not as many "filler" talents. Was dissapointed that the Lightwell wont act the same way as the one in toc 5, but its beta it could change :P

Engineering looks good too! with the new engineering "gems" should be nice, looking at the haste one and renew scaling with haste :D - heard penance does too now, not sure on that though :D

Overall can't wait to see how the priest class is going to be like, don't get me wrong would like to test other classes too but if i was in beta, would first see the changes on a class that i play all the time, to see the bugs and report them. Then see the changes on other classes that i play, and know.

Anyhow back to farming more gold to be ready for the expansion, thanks for reading this. o/

I am most excited about the new content in general the new fights are going to make the expansion what it is.

I am also excites about the new changes they are doing to the trees the new changes are going to effect the entire prospect of what you want to do with your specific class.
