The bold king again
had mind of his glory: with might his glaive
was driven into the dragon's head,
blow nerved by hate

Beowulf. This quote is from a story written over a thousand years ago. An epic poem about men and mythical creatures, which climaxes in a heroic battle against a dragon. As for Cataclysm, I can tell you in one word what I am most looking forward to. Deathwing.
He is a devious, fearsome creature, and wielder of immense powers. Deathwing has been involved in the history of Azeroth for millenia. Once leader of the Black Dragonflight, he was manipulated by the Old Gods to betray the other Dragonflights, and almost wiped out the entire Blue Dragonflight single handedly.
This lava-oozing dragon is over ten thousand years old. There is armor bolted to his skin, to prevent his own power tearing him apart from the inside out. He has had dealings with the Burning Legion, manipulated the King of the Alliance and his powers over the deep earth have already changed the face of Azeroth.
While Deathwing sounds terrifying, he will be something I have never encountered before. That is what really inspires me to continue onward. I get immense enjoyment from tackling new challenges, and seeing new landscapes, new enemies, and finding new battles to conquer. Most of all, I love overcoming new raid encounters that require a lot of coordination, determination, and skill. I truly hope that Deathwing will live up to my expectations.
One of the earliest stories ever written was about men fighting dragons. Over a thousand years later, people still read this tale. I have read many stories about heroic warriors fighting fire breathing dragons, it is a part of human culture. They were great stories then, and they have become legend today.
As for me, I have my own history fighting dragons. It all started rolling D-20s across an old table-top. It continued to an atari 2600 game called 'Adventure'. From there, I chased dragons to a Commodore 64, where the world of Ultima drew me in. My dragon fights have spanned a myriad of consoles and computers. I get nostalgiac over the heady days of the SNES and Playstation Final Fantasy games. About ten years ago, I stumbled upon a little game called Everquest, and fell in love with the concept of raiding. Fighting exquisite dragons such as Lady Vox, dragons so powerful that you needed a veritable army of friends to defeat them.
Today, I spend my dragon slaying days in the world of Azeroth. Naxxramas was fun. Ulduar had its moments, but if you ask me, Malygos will be the encounter I remember. Actually riding a force of dragons into battle against another dragon...incredible.
There will be much to see when the upcoming cataclysm unfolds. In the midst of the chaos, even while the ground under our feet quakes and fires fall from the heavens, we have to remain vigilant. Another dragon will require our attention, one that we should not underestimate. We cannot know all that Deathwing holds in store for us. We will need to keep our blades sharp, and our wits sharper. If our luck holds, Deathwing will not know what we have in store for him.
...For the TL;DR crowd, I would like to include this Haiku, as a summary.
Deathwing stirs below
The maelstrom churns, hope falters
Our blades seek new blood
