WTB a new art department.

Edit: Don't get me wrong, I love this expansion. It's just that... a TON of the art, especially that on gear, is a huge downgrade to what we were used to in TBC.

I've got to agree with you there, I did enjoy the sets a little more in TBC. But I am liking the Druid set at least, the helm is going to be turned off though.

they are ok.

DK is ok, but should be darker/nasty looking. Should strike fear!

Druid looks funny. The Helm anyways. I like the Horns, but the Window panel face is odd.

Hunter. Hmm. Just not sure about it. Rhino Horn for a helm? Huge shoulder pads? >.>

Warrior's actually look nice imo. Alliance/Horde style. They should apply this to all class gear. Alliance look, and a Horde look.

The thing that bugs me is how bland it looks. There's nothing on the gear that sets it apart. Nothing really pops out at you, you know? There's the little details like the horns on the druid helm that can catch your eye, but it really doesn't do much to help out the overall image.

They're just... boring.

The red/green on the Death Knight set is bugging me, Druid is okay but I can't get past that helm.

I really like the Warrior sets, though, and I think the Hunter set could grow on me. It's not especially iconic, but I am in love with those giant buckles... Smiley: inlove

The guy who decided what druids really needed was a helmet that looks like we just faceplanted a tree and shoulders that are about to eat the guys standing either side of us should be fired.

Apart from that none of them really strike me, but they're not bad either so a no-score win it is.

I hate the DK. Nothing about it says "DEATH" to me. It looks like a Vanilla War set, to be honest. Maybe they're hiding a really epic helm design? Because, honestly, I would rather wear the level 58 stuff. It's way more epic. Why didn't they release this last patch and give us Darion's set now?

I like the Druid set. The helm is surprising, yes. But, I like that they actually took a risk with the design. Plus, the helm and fly-trap-looking shoulders work for me (they remind me of the plants from Mario, or from Little Shop of Horrors). I wish the gem on the helm was green though, but purple gives it some contrast.

I've never been a fan of Hunter sets, but the horn kills me... Why isn't the last tier, like, a Ghoulstalker or something?

I don't get the War set. For one, it should be a Hunter one (why the hell is there a BOAR on the shoulders)? Second of all, if they're going to do a Horde/Alliance theme, I want different sets (like we used to have). And, if you are going to release early models, at least pick races that won't have ridiculous amounts of clipping. Have fun getting your horns stuck in your spauldrons, warriors. That said, I actually really like the helm's concept. I'm just not a fan of the final product. And overall, it's bland.

I can't believe these are the final sets of the expansion...

I know the druid helm is related to the Thorns spell, but I can't help but think of Evan's Spiked Tentacles of Forced Intrusion.

I don't mind the druid set too much, not sure if I'll keep the helm display or not, depends how Female Tauren look in it.

MMo-champ also has the Rogue T10 (Minus shoulders) from the game files.

Yech...

Here's hoping the shoulders make up for the awful front.

I actually would have expected something like that for the hunter set, oddly enough. It seems to be stitched together from actual geist cloths and such (such possibly meaning skin), so it has the "trophy" aesthetic. And, like I said, I was expecting an Undead-based set.

And the more I see the DK set, the sadder I become. I can't help but feel like that exact armor is already in the game... And the color is just awful. Making it black and dark purple would help a little... but it is still just so plain. Nothing says DK. Nothing says epic. It's just a suit of armor.

What happened to the days where this was how epic an armor set was?

Years later and it is still one of my favorite in-game sets. Part of me want to make a Pally and try and get it pre-Cata, for fear of it no longer being available.

Mage and Priest sets usually manage to feel pretty epic, though. I still love most of them (Absolution, Tirisfal Aldor and Tempest being my favorites pre tier 8) Paladins are... unique... Warriors used to be great, but have kinda gotten dull. Warlocks have always been hit or miss for me. I generally loved or hated them. For example, hated Plagueheart but loved Corruptor.

I find my opinions on Shaman armor change a LOT with the race. But, there are few that I love or hate on all of them (and I'm just talking about the armor, not how the race itself looks). I HATE Earthfury though. I think it's ugly as sin.

Rogue sets seem to change the most from update to update. Sometimes they are sleek and stealth. Other times they are shiny and, in Tier 7's case, gold. The only one I really hate is Netherblade. I'm pretty fond of a few others.

Demonstalker is the only Hunter set I like, and I don't love it.

I tend to like Druid sets a lot on NEs. Most look weird on Tauren to me. Though, T4 and T6 weren't too bad, since they were "tribally." I actually didn't like T6 on NEs...

All in all, wtb old artists...

I really don't like the look of the T10. Walking around looking like anub'arak just doesnt sit well with me.

Druid: Badass, just the helm is crap.
Hunter: What, T3+ again? only with a truly retarded helm this time.
DK: Pretty sweet
Warrior: Faction differences? maybe for hunters too (/hope)

I like the buckles, but lets face it, it's just a recoloured and slightly remodeled T3 again...

Still, anything beats the abberation of T5 that I've had to wear before, I'll survive.
Not happy moving from T9 to T10 though, with how cool T9 looks. (horde that is, not the innboatsaddlelolshoulders alliance has)

This man speaks the truth. The first sentence that came into my head when I saw the hunter set was "I r Nerubian naow kk?". The druid one is... interesting, but I'm not sure about it, but only the warrior one is somewhat decent. DK has way too much sparkles all around - especially when still gathering up the set he'll look butt-ugly.

Looking at the MMO-Champ photos, I feel like my rogue is going to be shooting out laser beams out of our heads whenever we're fighting.

I actually don't mind the rogue one.

The hunter one is super-dull and boring to look at, it may as well be northrend quest gear.

The DK looks dull as well and doesn't say DK to me at all.

The warrior looks decent, very plate-y and good.

The druid one is is decent, but you can bet that the majority of people will have show-helm off unless they are showing off how ugly it is.

*shakes in anticipation for the mage set...*

I actually don't mind terribly druid helm. It reminds me of Pan's Labirynth and Hellboy 2 creatures. At least it's not dull like hunter or DK. I also agree that warrior set is pretty nice. Helm is nice but I don't like hogs on shoulders. Why on earth there has to be household animal on most of warrior's Northrend sets? Couldn't it be more scary?

-Oh noes, it's big, bad warrior coming at me! what do I do, what do I do? Wait, is that pig on his shoulder?

*kills warrior with laughter*

Make it wolves, bears or friggin' Komodo dragons, just not something I can freely see by going to any farm.

MMO Champ has a pic of rogues.
I totally dig it.

Also the pics so different colors, and that is cool.

The curve of the shoulders do really help take the emphasis off the awkwardly round head...

I don't mind it. Actually, druid and this are the only sets we've seen that I feel like should be coming from ICG.

This.

I was soooo happy to be rid of the blue helms I had in the 70's. They had the same ugly horns. Now they're bringing them back!? Ya, helm graphics are staying off.

I'm pretty sure they're going to add an on use ability for the druid helm called "Death Lock"

It'll be much like deer.

When two male druids are fighting for the right to mate with a female druid they done their t10 helms.

Both will pop "Death Lock" the one who survives will Bres the loser and then go consumate druid love with the female.

Don't even bother with the b-rez. This way, evolution may progress.

Now if only this worked in the Trade channel...

Well I do like that the plate armor finally looks like plate armor instead of spandex. For that reason I hate them slightly less than some of the other sets. I have to agree in a big way though that the armor sets in general for WotLK have been pretty awful. The drop gear from questing wasn't bad. It looked like scavenged gear and was ok for that, but the sets are just meh. I haven't seen a MMORPG with such bad gear and weapon models.

Oh and have you seen the new rogue set? I'm... I'm not sure what to say. >.>

Not entirely sure of what the rogue head reminds me up, but it looks painfully familiar.

It seems to be based off of the geist, a breed of undead. They're quite a few of them throughout Northrend.
