Yech...
Here's hoping the shoulders make up for the awful front.
I actually would have expected something like that for the hunter set, oddly enough. It seems to be stitched together from actual geist cloths and such (such possibly meaning skin), so it has the "trophy" aesthetic. And, like I said, I was expecting an Undead-based set.
And the more I see the DK set, the sadder I become. I can't help but feel like that exact armor is already in the game... And the color is just awful. Making it black and dark purple would help a little... but it is still just so plain. Nothing says DK. Nothing says epic. It's just a suit of armor.
What happened to the days where
this was how epic an armor set was?
Years later and it is still one of my favorite in-game sets. Part of me want to make a Pally and try and get it pre-Cata, for fear of it no longer being available.
Mage and Priest sets usually manage to feel pretty epic, though. I still love most of them (Absolution, Tirisfal Aldor and Tempest being my favorites pre tier 8) Paladins are... unique... Warriors used to be
great, but have kinda gotten dull. Warlocks have always been hit or miss for me. I generally loved or hated them. For example, hated Plagueheart but loved Corruptor.
I find my opinions on Shaman armor change a LOT with the race. But, there are few that I love or hate on all of them (and I'm just talking about the armor, not how the race itself looks). I HATE Earthfury though. I think it's ugly as sin.
Rogue sets seem to change the most from update to update. Sometimes they are sleek and stealth. Other times they are shiny and, in Tier 7's case, gold. The only one I really hate is Netherblade. I'm pretty fond of a few others.
Demonstalker is the only Hunter set I like, and I don't love it.
I tend to like Druid sets a lot on NEs. Most look weird on Tauren to me. Though, T4 and T6 weren't too bad, since they were "tribally." I actually didn't like T6 on NEs...
All in all, wtb old artists...
