Well, to push this idea to a ridiculous extreme:

How cruel it is to take living matter (vegetables/fruits/grasses), and rip them from the ground/bush/tree, to then torture them by cutting them into small pieces with a knife, or worse yet, throwing them into the ultimate torture machine: a food processor. Then to toss the remains into hot oil and cook it. Such cruelty.

Truly, mankind should be eating rocks.

well, it looks like their event was a massive flop.

almost no one from the Alliance side joined in the "fight".

Meanwhile, dozens of Horde guilds - with names that were variations on some form of "seal clubbing" - popped into existence on what was previously a "medium density" server. For the afternoon, the server in question became a high-density pop server, with a disproportionate quantity of DeathKnights.

And from some of my chatting on the Alliance side, it seems that PETA support was rather petered-out with PETA's supposed allies.

To add more to this ridiculous band of extremists, they are STILL showing videos on Youtube asking people to "stop the Canadian seal hunters from killing the baby seals".

Lies, more lies, and more breast implants (Pamela Anderson).

Is it bad that I'm still filled with the urge to and slaughter as many critters and beasts as I can in Borean Tundra?

I live in Virginia Beach which isn't too far from the PETA HQ. There's a morning show here called Tommy and Rumble, on FM99 that holds a PETA fishing tournament every year outside their headquarters.

I don't remember where it took place, but there was also a PETA protest outside of KFC once that made it on to youtube that was quite funny. I'd throw up a link, but youtube is banned at my work. Apparently there were people hanging out with the crowd eating chicken.

KFC is to be savored not thrown at hippies.

Eat the KFC, throw rocks.

Or just eat the chicken and throw the bones. Best of both worlds.

Ya the sentiment is lost with rocks, the bones however are a win. They convey not only the irony of the protest-protest, but show the versitility of the consumed chicken. it is not only a good source of protien, but the bones are also PITA err PETA Deteriant

How many times do we have to repeat: NO BABY SEALS GET KILLED during the annual hunt

theillumanati wrote:
2) Seals are the only revenue for ALOT of ppl on the north eastern coast of canada and the only way to kill them and keep a fur value is the way they do it ,one good smack on the head(slaughterhouses use similar techniques, like a jackhammer, beasts not even dead when they skin them, just unconcious).

As for "the only revenue", that's not quite true.
The seal hunt is an additional revenue for fishermen OUTSIDE the regular fishing season. It is not "the only revenue" of "alot" of people.
Fishing is not the way to get rich. The seal hunt is additional income that helps people who function year in and year out very near the poverty line.

And they SHOOT the seals. Jeeze, when will PETA's fear-mongering be defeated! Seals are shot, at a distance, with high-powered rifles. IF, and only IF, the seal is not dead when the hunter gets to it, will it be finished off with a humane blow to the head.

Interestingly, it wasn't too long ago that PETA asked ("demanded") that Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream use only human milk (yes, milk from your mother) in the making of ice cream...since cows would (and do) have to get hormones (just as humans would) in order to produce milk outside of pregnancy.

Nevermind that human milk is really only good for humans in their infant years, or that its oily consistency is wholly unfit for "dairy product" production.

PETA is one of those organizations that does what they do for theatrical flair. When's the last time you've seen them file a timely lawsuit backed by a good legal argument?

In fairness, I've studied the topic a bit for a paper I did a year ago, and our "animal rights" and "animal welfare" laws do need updating. Its not right that someone who beats their dog in my jurisdiction gets a small fine and remains in possession of the animal...BUT...the appropriate way to change things is through democratic discourse and legislative action, not killing some hordies.

I doubt anyone will remember this a week from now.

Trolls, starve them like baby kittens.

It is the right thing to do.

Just like smashing baby seals over the head so as not to ruin the fur I like to wear while I'm sleeping in, nude of course, after a night of dog fighting and **** fights.
