funny enough I have yet to find a guild or pug that can make it all the way thru naxx. But I only tried 2 times. It isn't necessarily the difficulty, but just that raiding doesn't seem all that much fun anymore. But I think one reason is I have a job and friends I do rl stuff with now. And to me that is more interesting than raiding. When I was unemployed raiding was the best thing in the world. I kinda miss the kara runs and hyjal. Those were the days...

I'm sticking around mainly for alts and achievements. Pretty much a single player game to me now. Which begs the question why I'm paying $14 a month.

Anyways grats on leaving. I never checked out warhammer, but I hear some parts of it are good. I'll never leave. I just don't want the time investment learning a new game.

I think we should start a betting pool for Bodhi's opinion of Ulduar.

He'll hate it in 3 days and think its really boring.

There is an off chance he'll claim how awesome it is just to make Naxx look worse.

In all seriousness I think Bodhi should come play City of Heroes with me. I've created a villain known as, The Mysterious Stabby Bagman.

Oh, Bodhi can always find a way to make Naxx look worse.

Always.

See, none of you guys have fun just raiding with your guild? You're all doing it wrong.

That's why I'll never leave my current guild - its the perfect mix! I've got the advantages of being able to be the raider and glom all the shiny stuff, yet we're still casual enough that it doesn't feel like you're in a military regiment or that raiding is a second job. As such, raiding doesn't feel like a chore in my guild - its enjoyable and except when I'm informed that I'm MTing a boss that requires more responsibility then "hold agro and don't die" raiding is relaxing and stress free - even wipes can be fun if the RL doesn't spaz too hard.

I have a very strong suspicion that T7 (10-man gear) is going to be more than adequate for Uludar T8 (10-man).

The intent of Blizz is to allow guilds that can only field 10-man raids continue to see more 10-man content, so requiring T7.5 gear to be able to do 10-man Ulduar wouldn't make any sense.

I am sure if you have T7.5 gear you will have an advantage over T7-geared people, but having "only" T7 ain't gonna kill ya.

Hmm, of course, that then brings up the question of what will U10/U25 raid gear differences be? Will we have T8 and T8.5 and if so, how will T8 compare to T8.5 - will the elitist QQ that its no fair that casuals can do U10 and have leet gear?

Quote:
I sorta know this feeling... my guild is stuck with 10-mans right now, as we haven't been successful recruiting for 25-mans. About half of our A-Team has either left or is busy with real life, so replacements simply don't exist right now. I am still leading EVERY raid we do, and since two of the people no longer raiding with us were tanks, we basically have no replacements (actually, our guild leader has sidelined his warlock to use a warrior alt as an OT).

End result is that I'm stuck in Naxxramas 2-4 nights a week, depending on how fast we clear it and if we try to put together a 25-man. It's painful and really causes burn-out.

I'm looking forward to Ulduar just to have something new to try. I'm hoping we can actually do the encounters in current 10-man gear, though.

Dont sweat it - every guild is different so ignore the "u sux" responses - make the most with what you can and enjoy the game.

Yes, but you're still an idiot. Observe:

I really don't see how, unless the 3.3 Raid Dungeon is Sunwell 2.

Not in terms of difficulty or anything, just literally Sunwell again, kind of like Naxx is now.

You mean a version of Sunwell that is so easy that you can ignore the tactics and just AOE everything until it dies?
That would be cool, just... how are they going to move the sunwell into Northrend?

No, I don't think you can take classes for common sense.

And I think Zip kind of enjoys being the way he is.

You can't "learn" intelligence.

So you'll always be stupid, you'll just be stupid with more information in your brain.

Maybe they could make Sunwell more pink/purple coloured in the process (side effects of the teleporting) to make it look more like the exodar and give players some variation to prevent us from getting bored of the dark colours of northrend.

I'm all for this idea.

Well, wizards transported Dalaran and Naxxramas to Northrend, but next will be Blackwing Lair, won't it? =P

It's a topic because it can be.
