Ahoy all.

Am I the only one who hasn't gotten a single bag of candies yet?

I'm getting a little frustrated. I mean I'm going to miss on doing the event achievement because of a stupid random thing.

I'm becoming a sad panda. Smiley: frown

In two days on 2 characters I've gotten one bag of candy. And I have tried at every available opportunity. The drop rate is amazingly low. Lower it seems, than the "rare" items like the pet, picnic basket, and dress, all of which I've gotten multiple times. Kind of sucks.

After the first bag, on wednesday night, I still had 1 candy to go for my title. It took me 37 candies (so 4 bags) to get that last one. Well, at least I got that one, and my bulward of azzinoth last night :D

Supposidly the drop rate is about 3% whereas blizzard said it was supposed to be around 20% drop rate.

Although random is still random.

I can confirm that the drop rate was increased with that hot fix they did the other day - before that I had seven toons working the gifts with 3-5 appreciation gifts per day each - I got one candy, one pet (bank toon of course), three dresses and two picnics per toon. Post patch my main got two bags within three gifts (and thankfully got all the candies he needed from them) while everyone else got at least one bag each - guild chat was being lit up non-stop with spam of peeps finally completing the meta.

So just be patient and keep hacking away at it - I know that's not what you want to hear right now and I know the thought of having to wait a year thanks to one lousy peice of candy is maddening, but fret not - you'll either get it, or if enough people are in your shoes, then Blizz will remove that requirement like they did with the Halloween masks and several others.

I'll never look at heart candies the same after this event.

I need one more candy at the moment. I hope I get it.

I say we all get the Blizzard employees in charge of this event, hang them from the nearest tree and beat them like pinatas until we get our bags of candy.

Damn, guess I owe you an appology - I figured you'd be far crueler and sadistic then that - I was going to suggest locking them in a room with the original arcade version of Gauntlet and telling them no food or water till they beat the game (and they only each got $5 in quarters an hour).

Peh, big softy.

Let's not get too hasty here. If we got our way every time Blizz did something stupid, the developers would be rocking back and forth in the fetal position in a dark corner of the building muttering "Wizard needs food badly" to themselves after just about every patch.

Took me forever to get the Bag of Candies. I had to get 3 bags just to get the final achievement. Just keep trying, it gets frustrating.

For an update, one bag of candies so far, 4 picnic baskets, 4 dresses.

If i dont get the achievement, i will be so annoyed, its not like i haven't been trying. I'm being punished by the rng!

I have a single heart candy that I need from the bag for the event meta-achievement... just one single piece... just ONE!

I have been logging on every hour (that I can) to the character that I have been trying to get the meta-achievement with and I have only got two bags of candy since the event started.

Here is the kicker... on the same server I have been passing the hours by doing the hourly thing with my 9 other characters and 4 of those 9 have been able to get the heart candy achievement, but their levels are too low (pre-80) to even bother trying to do the meta-achievement in its entirety. ...and those 4 characters KEEP GETTING BAGS OF CANDY as gifts...

I am writing this hoping to break the cycle... if that kind of stuff actually happens...

I am still looking for that damn kilt from the Baron in Strat... I MUST HAVE THAT KILT! If his other stuff drops then so be it...

Well I have finally gotten my arrows after a guildie pointed out that you can choose them as reward if you give in an alliance/horde collection. I had previously totally disregarded the whole collection thingy as it seemed really bothersome, however looking into it I found out its very easy to do, you can get a few per hour, so you can pick as reward what you miss, candies, arrows, chocolates, the stuff that is BoP, so you dont have to rely on that damned RNG.

It took me four bags of candy to get the last candy I needed, but I finally got it and as a result, the meta achievement.

I'm half tempted to agree with the people who think that achievements should be something that should not be at the mercy of the whim of the RNG, especially those in which there is a very small window of opportunity such as these.

After all, it's called an "ACHIEVEment" not an "I got lucky-ment."

Ask around and see if anyone you know remembers where they got their bag at.

It could be random..or it could be not, but for the Cupid Vanity Pet..the guy in UC near the Flight Master seems to give it a lot. Most im my guild (including me) have gotten it from him.

As for the candy bag for me (I play Horde), all 4 I have gotten came from Orgi, but I didn't pay attention to what NPC it was ><

It took me 2 bags to get all but one candy, and out of the other 2 i still didn't get I LOVE YOU -.-

I am just missing I LOVE YOU. One time I went to Grunt Korf in the pvp vendor area of Org and he didn't even give me a gift. Blizzard is "aware" of it...

This reminds me of "Reason to not drink and play WoW #273"

Lost adored buff, get new gift, get bag of candies, cheer, go to make back space, delete bag of candies, grumble.

Took me another 7-8 tries to get the bag of candies again.
