I don't see to many Shaman out and about; I think they may be the least utilized class out there.

What do you think?

There are quite a bit of shamans on my server(Proudmoore US). I wouldn't say there is a lack of any class just a lack of healers/tanks like any other server. Although, there are only 3 rogues(one being myself) that are in my guild. That to me is a little strange considering we are the 6th ranked horde guild progression wise.

Oddly enough, my guild only has one raiding hunter with mediocre attendance (lucky ******* got the KT gun the very first 25 he did). No clue about the server at large, since I don't PUG.

I would say Shaman for sure due to being weak in endgame PvP.

Are we talking raiding or pvp?

I can't rember the last time we didn't have 2 shamans in a raid, maybe patch 1.3? prob not even then. Sure they use to be 4 in every single raid, but now a days 2 seams to work fine.

I toss my vote for Warlock

Strange enough - I rarely run into rogues. I used to see them all the time, but barely any in the past year or so.

Of course, I'm on a care bear server, so that could be why...

Mostly its certain class/race/gender combinations I don't see a lot of--female troll rogues, male draenei hunters, that sort of thing.

I would say Hunters feel a certain neglect after level 70 or so--amazingly versatile (if tricky) CC when most groups prefer to skip crowd control altogether and AoE everything, and most have no idea how to kite (even I'm a little weak in that area, though I have been practicing a fair bit, not quite up to mobs 10 levels higher than my little dwarf though). Rogues are probably worse off, since they have similarly difficult to use crowd control abilities, and not as much in the way of AoE capabilities.

On my server I find quite a lot of shamans, even on Alliance side, in the PUGs I get. Right now shamans are damn fine healers and their heroism buff is always most welcome.

I think warlocks are under-represented at the moment.

Id have to say warlock as well since the realm im on for alliance side has like 4 with the epic class mount. most classes are abundent in the lvls 1-40 then thin out.

On my server, I am seeing less and less priests. I have been in 3 out of 5, 25 man raids last weekend without one priest.

Shamans arent as common either, in the 5 25 mans runs last weekend I saw a total of 5 shaman (one being me). That is a rather low number.

Warlocks are down too, but surely they arent as low in number as priests/shaman currently.

The most popular class on my server ATM is by far mages. They are everywhere. Sure I have no problem with that, /love the mage food.

Paladins are fairly popular horde side on my server as well. The pretty races get all of the love.

Yes, because we all know warcraftrealms is oh so accurate... Really was it necessary to insult the OP? It's an honest question, worthy of discussion. He's looking for opinions. He stated his opinion. Oy. Fall back on "If you don't have anything nice to say don't say it at all..."

And I'd have to agree, as far as my server is concerned, alliance side, shamans are quite rare. Warriors are farely popular, warlocks are fairly rare (always have been), hunters since Lich King are hard to find on both sides. Rogues are fairly uncommon.

On the Horde side the makeup is quite different. It is not uncommon to find a warlock or shaman (shamans' still rare, but more readily found and seen), and warriors and mages seem to be the minority.

This of course is from my own personal observations and not statistical fact.

In TBC I saw tons of warlocks and rogues. Now I barely see any.

There are actually a decent number of shamans on my server but I rarely see priests. I'd say lock/priest/rogue are endangered species now. They're all getting rested xp while they lvl their DKs.

On my server, what i see the most are DKs, Pallys and Mages. They simply are everywhere. Its almost a rule to have a dk, a pally and a mage in a pug.
The ones that i see less are ele shammys, melee shammys, druid tanks and hunters. They are seriously under represented nowadays. Wich is strange, since about the time BC came what I most saw was hunters, locks and druids.

I see very few ranged right now. mages and warlocks are scarece, along with elemental shammies. Enhancement shammies are very rare too. Rogues are gone.

I'm seeing mostly DK's, paladins, warriors, hunters, and priests.

Actually... and this is me going back pre-WotLK (so no DKs at this point), I have hardly ever partied with Rogues. Leveling a Paladin to 48, another Paladin to 74 (currently), a Lock to 73, a Druid to 56 and a Rogue to 31, I have partied with a Rogue like twice? Maybe three times max. I found that odd as my impression was that Rogues and Hunters were the most plentiful classes. Now not partying with Hunters I kind of understand, they are solo masters after all. I just found it so weird that there were so few Rogues around.

Same goes with Mages and Warriors to an extent, haven't ran into too many of them. Lots of Paladins and Death Knights now, a fair amount of Priests. Good number of Shamans and Druids back in vanilla WoW, so those are most likely alts. Very few Warlocks too. Even in my current guild, Paladins and Death Knights rule the roster. =/

It's no surprise that pallies and DKs are everywhere. They are the two most powerful classes in-game nowadays, helped no end by the ease at leveling a DK. Imo this is a problem. Our guild is almost entirely retadins and DKs. It's almost impossible to find ranged dps or healers for pugs. The insane ret buff and the DK hero-class concept have warped the game even worse than the resto druid/ms warrior combo did back in the good ol' days.

I don't know about Horde side, but Alliance its definitely shaman. Not many of them around. I'm finding rogue to quickly be decreasing in number too.

Paladin is very common, death knight is like 50% of the server right now. Mages are pretty common, warriors pretty common. Hunters pretty common.

I'd have to say Enhance Shammys. I plan on raising one myself but only after I pick up some BoA items for it :-)

Definitely rogues at the moment on my server (Horde). Druids seem to be rare as well. We have lots of shaman for some reason.

Warlocks and rogues are the unofficial underrepresented as of a while ago.

Shame really.

Definitely seeing a sharp decline in rogues, locks and (to a lesser extent) druids.
