Kay-Oh-Lin is how I usually say it, however the following derivitives have also been used:

I haven't had a hard to pronounce name in some time, brb while I go digging in my old names.

November, Ametrine, Winter, Summer, Crystalsong - All of those are real words (or made up of real words) that I assume everyone here knows how to pronounce.


I like using real words as names. Even Karlina is a real name (though not very common in the US, nor is is it my real name.)

I pronounce it the way my French accent would say it.

Word-ay-un, Foown, Tie-ran-dor, Ah-koo-in.

Man, I'm pro.

Tonatiuh: Toh-nah-TEE-ooh. Many non-Spanish speakers pronounce the first syllable with a hard O, despite having heard the proper pronunciation. It's Nahuatl and easily Googled. Still, folks pronounce it with amazing disparity.

It's still surprising to me, after all these years, how many want to pronounce "Tejano" as TEJ-an-oh, instead of te-HAH-no.

Dithers = Dith-ers
Cafeen = Caf-een
Ioa = E-oh-ah (that's a tricky one). alt accepted is Eye-oh-ah
Intanj = In-tanj

I know, I make complicated names. Those are carryovers though, my new names are typically random things I see or hear..
Mage/Pally = Slapp/Tyckle (Was watching Beerfest at the time)
Lock/Shaman = Streelight/Stopsign (looked out my window)
DK = Armchair
Mage = Bite
Driud = Twopercent (A typical cow milk reference)

Gaazara = gauze-a-rah
