Last week I start this new job and it pretty much eliminates my WoW time during the week. I get today off for veteran's day (love the government) and was hoping to get in a little bit of last minute leveling. Alas here is comes a few hours before I have to go to bed and still no play available. This SUCKS!

Sorry just had to vent...

Am on West Coast and am giving up for tonight at this point. Whatever is/are the problem(s) think it is more than just the mail. Am sorry for you who had day off and expected a normal maintenance. Will check game later on but not sure I want to be ingame after this long of a downtime.

Uh, they've changed one or two things in their 4 years. I don't know if its obvious to most people, maybe the changes are too subtle, but trust me, a few things have changed in 4 years time. :P

Honestly though, I hear there are other MMORPGs out there, maybe you should try a different one. There's even offline games I hear! Isn't that weird?

You know a really frightening concept? Some people live without video games at all! Yeah, weird huh?! Blows my mind.

This is coming from a guy that OBVIOUSLY doesn't understand the mechanics behind programming and constantly changing gameplay.

stfu, imo

Man, downtime sure brings out the worst in us ;)

It does suck, as I had the day off like a lot of other folks, but I figure there's a reason or they certainly wouldn't leave us out in the cold. It does say they will update it within 2 hours, quite a few hours ago, but hey, maybe they keep thinking, 5 more minutes, we'll have it.

I still have a pile of offline games to play for instances just as this :) They aren't quite as rewarding as getting hours of WoW time, but you do finish them at some point, which is a change ;P

It doesn't take a scientific genius to know how difficult it is to keep billions upon billions of pages of code 100% clear of all glitches. Plus, keep in mind that they're almost always adding in new content too, which makes MORE potential for glitches. So, suck it up, sit there, and wait like the rest of us are.

#11trss, Posted: Nov 11 2008 at 5:04 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Well...i agree this is messed up, I mean each time it gets worse, Simple tasks now seem to be harder and harder for blizz to deal with. Or maybe they really dont care..Ever think that..i mean its all about the money they dont really care about you..Or me...Thats life get use to it=)
#12Baniktal, Posted: Nov 11 2008 at 5:05 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Obviously blizzard doesnt give a rats *** about the consumer. Thats like thinking walmart cares if they had a group of people working for them go bankrupt. They are a corrperation and thus dont care as long as they sqeeze that 15$ out of everyone a month its all good for them.

Seriously..just stop posting. Each one you make gives me more of a headache. Not to mention, your grammar and spelling is an eye sore. You think you can do a better job than the Devs, then apply for a job there. Otherwise, refer to my last post.

Sit there, shut up, and wait like the rest of us are.

yea I didn't expect all of this... I am guessing they are loading a ton of stuff for the Xpac release Thursday. The more they can do before hand the better it will be. Off to play some GOW2, but I would of liked to level a little before going back to work. Ohh well, so is life.

If it comes back up I wonder how mcuh would be live if I had the software installed (as there are many reports on the official wow forums of Circuit City's selling the game early... I went to mine and they would of sold it to me if I would have pushed for them to go find it in back. They had no idea abotu anything. The CCs are going out of business (many) so they don't care about repercussions of early release - is my guess.

Wow.

Seriously, you should maybe just quit WoW if this is how you feel in all honesty. You don't get to be number one by having crappy customer service. This isn't like Walmart where you can just undercut the competition. Seriously, just quit.

Anybody know the reason for the extended maintenance? I haven't been on for about 2 weeks, so the only thing I can come up with is prepping for the launch.

This is a little off topic, but...

The servers came up around 30 mins prior to the end of the originally scheduled maintenance. I noticed that two things were wrong:

1) I had no mail in my mailbox. I have a bank alt that gets all of my "crap" items for storage and I had 2-3 pages worth of mail in my inbox last night. It wasn't there this morning.

2) I logged out with my warrior about 25% of the way into level 49 last night. My xp bar this morning showed that I had no xp earned at level 49, but I had 7 bars or so of rested xp credit (I had no rested xp left when I logged out last night). After about 20 mins, my xp bar disappeared altogether. My FuBar experience plugin was showing accurate numbers, to include xp gained as I bombed around Searing Gorge. My XP bar, however, recorded no change.

15 minute server shutdown notice came up, I killed a few more spiders (and got the Smithing Tuyere to drop XD) and then tried to log out...had to wait for the server to boot me.

That was....7 hours ago XD

I would just cry if the reason for all the crazy insane maintenance was due to a few people installing Wrath early and messing around in Northrend before the servers were fully prep'd

Just something that occurred to me while I twiddled my thumbs

Bummer of a day for this to happen. I happened to come home sick from work and was thinking about leveling up one of my chars. I noticed she didn't have any mail like she should have. Then I saw the messages.

I bet they'll give us something cool, even if it is just in the game. Maybe a robot or something, lol.

At least I got other stuff done and rested like I should have been doing today.

Hopefully they can get the game going soon. I hope everyone got to make the most of their time away from the game by doing something productive! Soon we will all be sucked back in.
