Topic is the question. Have a group doing only him. The rest of Kara is cleared. How many do we need?

Depends on the gear & skill of the group. A T5-T6 geared, solid group could probably 5-man him, a T4 group would need probably 7-8. A PuG would almost definately need 10. He's got a respectable amount of HP, and his Blood-link type ability really requires either coordination or awesome healing/dps through the effect to down him fast. I recommend slowly kiting him while DPSing him down around the upper floor, and make -sure- people stay together and continue moving, or the wipe will come pretty quickly.

Is he still around? I thought he was gone...or maybe I'm thinking of a different boss?

A lot of it falls upon the tank. He has to know that A). kiting is a good thing to do, and B). he has to know HOW to kite.

When I did this boss with my guild, they had the pally tank on him at first, and he wasn't kiting properly and people were dying left-and-right. It looks like it was going to be a wipe, when 4 of the raid members were dead and the mob was at 75-80% left. That's when I said to myself "You know what? ***** this, I'll do it."

So I Taunted him, gave him a shield in the face and said "Come after me, b*stard." And proceeded to kite him around the circle.

We ended up winning with 4 people left.

We weren't in T6 gear, or anything of the sort (mid-Kara/early heroics gear mainly), and we managed to get him from 75%ish percent down to 0 with only half of our raid left alive.

He's not hard, but your tank needs to know what to do.

Recall that the oringal statement by the blues was that he'd be gone in another week (and said statement had been made nearly two weeks ago) thus resulting in the assumption that he'd be removed on last Tuesday's patch.

I've done this Mirkblood 'fella a grand total of two times now. The first crack at him I had no idea what to expect, or to do, so with my newfound hunter ubernastic dps, I tore into him.
He died, with myself and one or two others left standing. I promptly died right after, as a guardsman was walking around that we missed used me for target practice as I was basking in the glory of the Princes defeat.
My second go at him a few weeks later, we had our tank kite him around the circle (we fully cleared it this time), but he was moving him too fast so we had lots of LOS issues. We also were told to lay off dps each time he did his fancy little copy cat stunt. We wiped, mainly because of the tank running too fast.
Round two we said ***** the kiting, ***** the laying off dps, and burned his *** down. The bonus to that method is you lose a few raid members as they take the damage as well. I liked that method, because he did't copy me once :)
I didn't answer your original question though. We had a full raid, t4 geared for the most part, as it was a badge run.
