I had my first ever raid experience today, in Gruul's. I could tell one of my usual rambling tales of the many gooberish things I did there. But instead I'm going to skip directly to the part where, as we're all standing there getting ready to pull Gruul, I hit my autorun key, charge headlong at him, and wipe the whole raid. I could feel the heartfelt respect and admiration of my guildmates in their many cheers of, "WTF?"

I am, what is that word you crazy kids are all using these days? Oh yes. "Awesomesauce."

It would have been better if you shattered in the middle of all the healers.

The fact that the healers would all be in the same place only makes it better...

I am impressed, If only I had the skill to do something like that.

Did you not scream a blood chilling battle cry before your swift death?

Possibly, it is for you to decide.

Well, if this is the "fess up" thread...after a PUG, I graciously offered my groupmates a portal to Shatt. Only I hit the wrong spell, and ported myself there, leaving the group in Arcatraz....kinda suspect I am not the only mage to pull that one though.

I'm guilty of that as well. I have also accidentally jumped into the water in SSC while the fishys were still alive...was fun.

Pfft, you need to make a portal roulette, putting up every portal, starting with Stonard and putting up Shat last.

It's amazing.

No sir, I really don't think I want to do that. From what I hear, the cooks in Stonard tend to click their heels and chant "There's no taste like Gnome". Me being a gnome, and highly adverse to becoming a gnomekabob, I think I'll just stay out of that place.

See, I was giving you some credit by assuming you were horde.

Since you're alliance I guess you'd throw up--what--Theramoore?

Yeah, I suppose I could throw up Theramore. Not really my style, though...unless I'm annoyed.

Now back in the day, when I played EQ, I was known to do things like port annoying players into high level zones, or better yet, into an unfriendly place. EQ had a very interesting mechanic where certain casters could "bind" someone to a particular location...meaning when they die, they always rez at that spot, at least until somebody changed it for them.

Had a drow elf abuse one of my lower toons one day. A little later, while on my main (a druid), I saw the same guy asking for a port to a difficult to reach place. I helpfully volunteered....and ported him right next to the Druid trainer in a town where he was considered "kill on sight" to all the guards. Got my bind off on him right before he died. The first time. He ended up dying about 30 times there, and lost a level, before he was finally able to get somebody to help him get out of there.

Funny that's what my guild tells me on a regular basis.

Do it again on Archimonde. Twice. Then you'll be on a par to someone in our raid. (Hi Crey! Smiley: grin).

And every Mage has teleported instead of putting a portal up, leaving everyone behind. At least once.

I auto ran into moroes a few weeks ago on accident.

My favorite though was when we first started running kara I pulled the maidan while ******** around with my eye of killrog. Nothing better than everyone seeing a boss for the first time running at you with a wave of mobs and trying in vain to make a mad dash to the door. Damn repentance got the last few just before they could get out. Then a few more died because she was stuck in the little room at the entrance for some reason.

I'm guilty of that one. Not sure how it happened, but when I landed there was a bunch of people including a few other healers. I heard the screams of Agony on vent. "Lun, NOOOOO!".

I killed them all. I lived.

The worst I've done lately was accidentally shoot the 2nd boss in Mech when I was trying to just get my target.

I wouldn't even target the bosses in Kara (until they were pulled), for fear of doing the same thing.

Well if it's any consolation, you must be better at raiding than me. I wiped us twice on Gruul last week and I wasn't even there!

The first time, I lagged out during a shatter. Apparently my character remained in a terrible spot meaning that loads of people took extra damage in the following shatter resulting in the wipe.

I still wasn't done. I logged back in, while explaining myself on vent. Fully expecting to log back into a corpse. However, my Warlock was somehow alive and unscathed, in the same situation I lagged out in. That is exactly the same spot. That is, around 10 feet away from Gruul.

He didn't like that, so he smashed me and then linked on to the raiders that had already run back in.

I apologised, but I think the laughing might've diluted my sincerity somewhat.

I kindof like the portal roulette idea. Mages in my guild have thrown up portals instead of tables before, that always makes me laugh.

This reminds me of the time I was so drunk I passed out on lynx boss in ZA. I fell asleep and woke up to my toon running against the wall, they killed the boss and was yelling because executioner dropped. They just thought I was lagging or something. :)

Pretty funny. Because I didnt heal one person during the fight, but I rolled on it and won. Isnt that terrible? Honestly, I should have spoke up, but why embarass myself... They wanted me to have the chant anyways...

They would forgive me for it, Im one of the few girls in the guild, you know how it is when your a girl, loved by all...

Good times.

I'm the first to admit I'm not for everyone, but in my defense, there was a silly tag, just in case my name wasn't enough to indicate that maybe it wasn't a thread those who aren't into inanity ought to read. If you keep opening them up in the hope that one day I'll be all wise and serious, let me just save you the trouble and acknowledge that it'll never happen. ;)
