I found this question on a forum without a Concrete Answer:
Some say that in the expansion/expansion patch, they are going to update PVP in BG's to give exp points, thus removing the twinks. But I have also been told multiple times that this is a rumor.
You guys know something about this? just a rumor?

That would be nice but I haven't heard anything about it again. Would make me actually do low level PvP since I won't get my *** handed to me by twinks. Which lvl 70 PvP I will get owned by people in
Arena gear so its about the same I guess.

That would be nice in some ways - but I already get frustrated with the number of people entering BG's at x1-x5! Maybe the XP could scale to your level vs. BG level cap, to help encourage players to enter near the top of the range? I dunno, maybe thats a bad idea too.
I haven't ehard anything about it. I doubt it is true since taking the time to get every reward for the given bracket would then level you out of it. That wouldn't make any sense; in fact I think it's a bad idea.
Besides, I like it how it is. Once I got over being jealous of the guy spending money and time on a twink I concentrated on killing them or just focusing on aiding the FC back to base. I get the pieces and marks I want then move on.

This rumor has been around since before I started playing back in 2005(iirc the date correctly). I wouldn't count on it. However, as it is, you can already get exp by doing the BG daily(which is optional), so that may be the founding of the ressurection of this old rumor.

This rumor comes out before every major patch and it never happens.
Nonsense - if you started the BG at X1 and did nothing but BG then you'd easily get all the rewards for that bracket - heck, they could even expand the BG dailies and add even more quests to BGs to make it so that you could actually level from 10 to infinity in BGs.
Think about it - they could add drops to player corpses in all BGs like they've got in AV and make quests for every level range - bring me 5 heads of each race, kill 10 of each class, kill 20 pets, etc. You could even find a way to modify the class quests so as to allow peeps to do them in BGs as well.
Heck, they could even have players drop loot based off of the player's level and gear, in fact, the loot the player drops would be a copy of something he's got (he wouldn't lose it, but if your rogue was carrying a dagger of twinky uberness then someone who kills you might get it as a rare drop).
Think about it - that'd add a whole new dimension to the game (as well as rid us of X9 twinks) by giving XP rewards and expanding the number of BG quests so as to allow a character to level by doing nothing but BG.

That would be going a bit too far, but yeah I think it would be great if you'd get xp for doing quests and/or winning in BG's.

Well in AV you do get Exp from killing the NPC's and prolly from quests when you do it the 1rst time only, just like dailies. I leveled my pet like that for a few levels, didn't even notice until i saw his dinged.

Why not quests? If you're going to level off of BG only then you need some quests in there in order to help pass the time, otherwise, it'd take forever (think about how much of your XP in leveling comes off of quests).
The more I think about turning the BGs into thier own little world the more appealing BGing becomes - start off at 10 and walk into WSG and start leveling in BG only. The arena gear could be expanded so as to provide stuff every few levels that can be bought with gold, honor and badges. They could even make some stuff BG usable only (so as not to disrupt the normal game) and include a BG bank that only stores BG stuff for you (badges and anything bought off of the BG vendors).
Think about it - that'd effectively become an expansion in itself since you've now got a whole new area to level in, new quests for said area and of course new toys that are unique to and can only be used in said area (including special uber-kewl BG only mounts that can only be used inside the BGs).

These are some pretty good ideas. Though I think I'd enjoy collecting gnome heads a little too much...And I may not turn them in after...
