Nobody is forcing you to play. Now go away.

Personally, I love remarks like this. I don't think anyone is putting a gun to your head and forcing you to play. If the game is that bad, find another one more to your liking, it seems WoW is not your thing. And for your "friend", the leechcraft he seems to enjoy instead of actually earning his keep will catch up to him and he runs the risk of losing that gear he didn't actually do any work for. Last few BGs I have done, every leecher like him gets targeted and nailed before the game is even half over. Legit players are getting really tired of lazy, useless players finally. Sounds like the game won't miss either of you should you choose to leave.

I want a third faction. When BC came out I was hopin' and prayin' that you could play as, maybe the Burning Legion or something, and have Naga, Blood Elves and Broken Draenei, like the people under Illidan in WCIII TFT. That would've been cool, I think, because then there would be even more PVP-able things, and plus I really wanna play a Naga!!
I love new races and classes, so that might be fun, too, to add some more of those.
But, the one thing I'd change if I could would be the new faction, then there would be Alliance v Horde v Third Faction.

I'd like a one-button way to bust stacks down to individual pieces.

I'd like the option to dismount on a flightpath if I see something/someone that interests me below.

I'd like to see GM's randomly patrol BGs to ban obvious AFKers/botters/exploiters on the spot.

I'd like Blink to cause an attacker to drop their targeting of me ala vanish/feign death.

I'd like the AH to sort by unit price so I don't have to go thru 20 pages of single arcane dusts to see what multiples are going for.

I'd like rogues removed from the game (haha, right).

Sometimes I'd like to ability to kill members of my own faction, but realize it would probably be bad in grand scheme of things.

It's probably because I have Auctioneer, but I can have prices displayed either by the value of the stack or per piece in the stack. If you already have Auctioneer maybe just spend some time with the options. If you don't, then get it!

when you talk about a third faction, you're also talking about changes that either border on or exceed what's needed for an expansion pack.
  • new capital cities for new player races
  • new starting zones.
  • additional towns in existing zones
  • changes to disputed areas
  • changes to every battleground
  • changes to arena
  • changes in objective PvP
  • Additional faction quests for leveling

I don't think that Blizz will ever go through what's necessary to add another faction. It's something that has to be designed into the game from the beginning.

Just curious, what would need to be changed for Arena?

I'd like to see away to advance past 70 other than gear or lvl. maybe you could earn extra talent point for a very large amount of exp or some other type of skill gained for time played or life time kills for the pvpers .I feel someone who has been playing for 3 years should be more powerful than someone who was just pled and joined a raiding guild 2 months ago

In FFXI these were called Merit Points. Once you were at the level cap you could talk to an NPC start collecting merit points instead of experience points. Enough merit points let you improve stats, skills, learn new spells, and all that jazz. I didn't like it, for a number of what could be minor reasons so I won't expound on them. However, there was one big catch...

What happens if (in WoW's case, when) the level cap goes up?

Never played FFXI but i spent 6 years playing Everquest they had AA points they where gained from exp you could turn on or off or even have a % going to them and reg exp. they rasied the lvl cap at least 4 times and added new aa talents to learn. most hardcore player would turn them off and grind out the lvl's while other might go 50/50 and take there time

There are two things that bug me the most:

1.) When you die and become a ghost, why do you have to run to your location and why can't you go through things? It would be so much easier if we could just run through the walls to get to where we need to go.

2.) What hattermf said, I would like to dismount while flying if I suddenly realize I took the wrong flight or found something that I needed.

Then WoW would really become a "who has played longer and has the biggest sword" type of game. So just because someone joined a few years after launch they should get wtfbbqpwned by people who played in beta because the beta players have uber leet gear?

Yes, I agree that it would take a whole lot of work to make a third faction, so it probably won't happen.
After all, in order for it to be balanced (and we all know how much Blizzard loves balance) there would need to be PVP for all the different brackets - though you might be able to just hijack the existing ones.
Also, inventing new cities and what-not - I hoped that would happen when they made Outland, but alas.
During patches between Before the Storm and now, they have added new quest nodes, new flight points, graveyards, cities, etc, so they could probably do it if they decided it was worth it.
After all, I remember when Forest Song in Ashenvale was nothing more than a dryad and a moonwell.
Ah, well, maybe I'll never get to play a naga - at least I can still Mind Control them and pretend . . .

Very little needs to be changed in arena.

Most of the stuff that does will be fixed in WotLK.

I don't see there being a power swing "the biggest sword" will always belong to those who have the play time and drive to go get it. if they added this today a beta player would have no advantage over joe blow who hit 70 today. I feel there needs to be a reward post 70 or what ever the max lvl happens to be
