I don't know why I decided to start this thread, and I don't know if it's been done, but I'm rather pleased that I managed to snag some cool new names :)
I snagged Toxique, french word for Toxic. (Going to be my DK when Wrath hits :))
I also managed to get Fault. I love it... Fault. If I can settle on a server for my Horde DK (assuming you can still make one on whatever server you wish once you have a 55) that will be his name.

Khalima - Troll Mage
I got the idea off of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. I wanted something to do with voodoo (Since I was a newb then and the Trolls were always saying stuff to do with Voodoo). Indy came into when I recalled the scene with the little Indy doll, and then I remembered Mola Ram always going "Kali ma", and I started to think about what it meant.
Kali is the Hindu goddess of destruction. So, mage, destruction, voodoo, seemed like a decent fit.
Khalima comes across because Kalima was taken, so I added the 'h' in there.
Rinya - Blood Elf Rogue
This is my latest project. The name came around from the novel Hunters of Dune; For those unfamiliar with Dune, there's a large order of women known as the Bene Gesserit, and through their training the can totally manipulate any muscle in their body; they are also incredibly cunning and highly skilled in hand to hand combat. Rinya was a character (not major at all), and I liked the name, it sounded Elven enough.

Well...he's Undead. Necro means dead in Latin, Muerte means death in Spanish, so it means "Double Death", which I guess is fitting since he's an Undead Warlock; First he kills you, then he takes your soul.

Already reserved, Überkhal is basic. Über means Super in German, Khal is what I'm pretty much known as; Überkhal will use the same exact sprite as Khalima, and it's basically going to be a farming/PvP DK. Pure revenge against Rogues and Locks.

I've made a lot, and like most of them. Apart from the ones with typical names (Annibeth, Ellieann, Marlene), here are some of them:
Steelbelly- My first character, and my main for a long time. I thought it looked like he had a little beer belly, but decided that Steelbelly sounded better than Beerbelly. At various points I also made (and later destroyed) his alt brothers Copperbelly, Ironbelly, Tinbelly, Bronzebelly Mithrilbelly, and Bellybank.
Malesar- This one is a little less creative- I was writing to a friend of mine who has the last name of Males, and I forgot to put a space between "Males are" and stopped before the final E. I then thought, "This would be a good name for a character".
Smitehammer and Smitefist- My paladins. The name seemed appropriate, both for the style (both are Dwarves) and the fact that they like to smite things.
Nebethet- An variant of Nebt-Het (also known as Nepthys).
Briareus- One of the Hecatonchires of Greek mythology.
Flagellator- It sounds naughty, but it isn't. Flagellation is simply the act of whipping someone (or one's self).
Resurectee- Obvious reference for an Undead character- they've been resurrected from the dead.
Ebonhorn- My Tauren had a dark horn. It also worked with the naming scheme.
Mourningdove- There was a Mourning Dove outside my bedroom for over an hour that day, and after listening to it for the whole time, doing its little call, I decided that it would be a great name for a Tauren.
Swoopinghawk- Same idea as before, but I got my inspiration from a nature show about birds of prey.
Thumbtoe- I worked with someone who loved to tell any unwitting person shaking his hand about losing his thumb as a kid and having his right toe surgically removed and placed on his hand as a replacement. Thus, the saga of Thumbtoe began.
I won't even mention the two errant gnomes, Shinypants and Silvershoes.

Fervor *might* be the greatest name i ever came up with, my UD shadow priest. I always steal shakespearean stuff, so my main character is a Paladin called Rosencrantz.
I had a troll rogue called Koljin, but he was just too ugly, so i re-rolled a BE one instead, Tenshi. The BE rogue attack animations look so much better anyway :P
My mage is called Alatar, after the LOTR wizard/maia who was sent to middle earth like Gandalf, but went missing. Maybe he ended up serving Sauron, or saomething. And finally, an Orc warrior, called Direfang. Nice solid rampaging name.
