I cleaned my room today and arranged everything in order. What i noticed was that my stack of PC games has grown without me noticing.

Theres Vanilla WoW and the expansion pack ofcourse. but theres also...

Freelancer,
Dungeon siege 2
Fable
AGe of empires 3
Orange Box
Rise of Nations
Halo
Age of mythology
All the GTA's uptil san adreas.
warcraft 3 and 3x
counter strike
Crimson Skies
Quest for Glory 5
Black and white

there ahve been others but they've been lost.

So i was wondering, in your career as a gamer, what games do you have physically lying around beside WoW?

Are you referring to just PC Games? Or all games in general?

If all games I have a huge PS2, PS1 and XBox library. Spattering of PS3 and 360 games as well as 3 Wii games.

For PC I have RF Online, Vanilla and Xpac for WoW, Guild Wars, DAoC, Unreal Tournament, Counterstrike, Dungeon Siege, Diablo 1 and 2, and a couple others I can't really think of.

Not to mention all the downloaded/installed games.

The original Call of Duty, along with the United Offensive expansion, is a game I would consider worthy of being a BENCHMARK for others to follow, right along side Half-Life, Counterstrike, Unreal Tournament, Quake, Doom and lord knows how many other classics.

Fire up UO today and go online to play. More than likely you'll STILL find 150-200 odd servers with people in them. Few of the buddies I now play WoW with met each other playing Call of Duty and United Offensive. I'm no good at FPS games anymore, but I'll agree with them and say it's a damned fine game.

I was looking through the games in my room last night, actually.

Worms: Armageddon
Star Ocean: Ex
Star Ocean: Til the Ends of Time
FFVII: Dirge of Cerberus (WORST PURCHASE EVER... although it comes close to Pokemon Stadium and buying Harvest Moon 64 for $65 off eBay)
Resident Evil 4 (PS2)
DDR Max2/Extreme/Extreme2
Age of Empires II
WoW: Burning Crusade
Extreme Sudoku
Kingdom Hearts I&II
FF Tactics
FFIX
FFX
FFX-2
FFXII
Harvest Moon: Back to Nature

I was really excited to find FFIX, because I just went to the "Distant Worlds" concert in Chicago and was psyched to play it. I remembered I had a file on it when I restarted a few months back, so I wanted to try it out. Figures the file was on my EB PS1 memory card... which corrupts almost every file put on it. Yup, corrupted data. I put FFIX back in its case and went back to my computer.

Edit: I'd have more, but I'm at college. All my NES/SNES/Genesis/PS1/N64 games are at home.

I agree.
Most of these lists sound like they were compiled by newbies :)

A short list of games I have that no one else seems to:

Microsoft Flight Simulator (no number after that, just MFS)
Sim City
Bard's Tale (I'm not talking about the new one from a few years ago)
Bard's Tale 2
Ultima
Command HQ
Global Conquest
Defender of the Crown
Descent
Lemmings

Some of those will run under DOS 2.1, but most will require at least 3.0. And, if you have Windows, it's a good idea to close Windows before starting them. Some won't run right with Windows running.

S.C.R.A.M (On tape)
(List would be a lot longer if I still had my 800XL, but I gave it to my brother in 1986 when I got my IBM PC)

I have tons of games, so I'll only mention the ones that get much playtime. No 'homeworld' or 'deus ex' I'm posting mine just because it's a little different than other people's. Also, none of the old favorites that are sitting in a binder collecting dust: Diablo II, Descent, etc.

PC:
Sim City 4
Sims 2+ a few expansions
CivIV, CivIV: Beyond the Sword
WCIII and expansions
FFXI and expansions
WoW and expansions
Dungeon Keeper II
Mech Commander II
Black & White II

Xbox360:
Forza 2
Tiger Woods 08
Armored Core 4
(just haven't found many 360 games that excite me, but GTAIV will be out sometime)

PS2:
Gran Turismo 4
all the GTA games
FFXII, FFX
FF: Dirge of Cerberus
Devil May Cry III

as you can see, I'm a big fan of simulation games on PC, and not a very big fan of FPS games, which make up a huge chunk of the gaming market. Also not a huge fan of sports games except auto racing. the 1 golf game is fun from time to time because of its slow pace. Also not a fan of RTS games, the warcraft games was just to see the backstory(bought it after WoW): i endure through the gameplay.

I've realized I mainly like 'collecting' games. i.e. the point of the game is to gain rewards. Racing games its cars, RPG games its swords and armor and such, golf its new golf items, etc. A good story is good too.

I thought we were supposed to talk about the games that we have laying around SINCE WoW came out... not your whole collection.

My MMO addiction started with FFXI on the PC and I have been stock-piling unplayed games since then, but I was an avid console gamer since about 1978.

I wont even count the games that I have bought since I started FFXI and then WoW and I opened to "test them out", but I will only count the games that I have bought since WoW's launch.... if I can remember...

No use of naming them because I would actually have to clean the room and all of the boxes in it to find them all.

Remember, I am not counting the "opened but never played longer than 30min games".

Unopened (approx #s):
PS2 games: 10
PSP games: 4
XBox games: 5
XBox 360 games: 10
PS3 games: 4 (havent even played a single game on the PS3 since I bought it in November)
Nintendo DS games: 6

And I am sure I am missing some, but all I know is when I retire/win lottery, and if my consoles still work.... I will be a very busy man. Retiring age is about 30 years away too. Smiley: cry

That's an interesting thing actually...WoW seems to cause...well for myself
anyhow, a drop in purchases of other titles, it's like a..a dam, everything else
just kind of builds up behind it while you stand up top enjoying the view.
Occasionally opening the sluices when something is able to drag your gaze away
for so long, only the close them again when the view calls you back...

Otherwise...it'd be rather moot point talking about the build up after WoW,
when all in all, it's really just another game. Entertaining and time
eating though it be ^^'

I'll probably sound pretty stupid, but what's "Vanilla WoW"? Is that another name for the original game without Burning Crusade?

The only console I have is a PS2 and I mostly have a bunch of DDR and Sing Star games.

Some racing games and stuff, but not much. I got the "Lord of the Rings" PS2 game, but it scared the crap outta me when those things on black horses started chasing me. (I'm a girl, sue me.)

But anyways, getting off-topic. Yeah, I don't have many games. Mostly play WoW.
