I recently did Kael'thas for the first time and was amazed at the sheer epic value of his fight. Long and fun, really testing you, just the best fight in the game.

Also, Kazrogal in Hyjal was pretty fun to me too.

In my limited raiding experience, I'd have to say that the "coolest" boss is probably the second boss in Shadow Labs. However, the most fun fight by far was Doom Lord Kazzak.

"What, that's it? It's over already?"

You could go all out DPS on Vael?

From what I hear, once you hit 20% and your warriors can just spam a full execute every 5 seconds, you can all out.

You sort of have to. You have three minutes before you lose, pretty much. You're either out of tanks by then, or you're just no longer getting infinite energy/rage/mana.

Special place in my heart for Mr Smite from VC, Second SL boss for fun factor when I am not healing, and Princess from Mara. I'll never forget the first time I made it to her, thinking it was a princess to resuce.

Havn't been past Lurker yet, so can't comment on anything beyond that.

I loved the Dreadsteed fight, that was a ver fun fight.

The Second Boss in Slabs.

The whole Black Morass Instance is great fun. I know a ton of people who hate it, but every time I run it, we one-shot it, and I love the fast pace. Can say almost the same thing about Durnholde, though the first few times I ran it it didn't go as smooth.

Netherspite is fun.

And yeah, Lurker, it is fun fishing him up. Can you imagine if noone knew that you had to fish him up, but did know that it was a great spot for fishing? Going there and accidently fishing him up would be a great surprise.

I've got to do this 2 ways. Favorite bosses, and favorite boss fights.

First, my favorite bosses -

Nefarian (Lord Victor Nefarious) - I love the way this guy would appear in UBRS w/ the false warchief, and at one point was the top bad-*** in the game AND he could turn into a dragon! I also liked his encounter at the time.
Doomwalker/Void Reaver - I love those sinister robots and anything that's not a naga, blood elf, or other humanoid.
Ragnaros (and even murmur)
Supremus
Edit: the TBC version of Kazzak is bad-*** too!

Favorite Encounters:

Illidan Stormrage - #1 because its the most satisfying kill in the game, but not the most fun.
Gurtogg Bloodboil - I like the teamwork in this encounter, and he'd be in my top favorite bosses too if he didnt have a high pitched whiney voice!
Lady Vashj - This fight is fun to me, but I have a fun job in phase 2. I'm not jealous of ppl who deal w/ the striders.
Baron Geddon - this was the first fight for me that seemed to have any action. <3 the bomb!
Majordomo Executus - this was a real challenge, and organized chaos Good times in the old days.

Honorable Mention:

Kael Thas takes a lot of teamwork, but is too much like work. Trash respawns are annoying, and his 30 second intro is kindof a slap in the face. At least Vashj, Illidan and Archimonde don't respawn trash. Maybe i'll like him again after 2.4

Headless Horseman! - yes i loved this idea, and just wish there were more fun things like this in old dungeons. boss-spawn dailys ftw.

I have to agree that the second boss in SLab is really really fun. Watching everyone beat on each other is pretty funny. Of course, the repair bill sucked...

Not a boss, but the pyramid sequence in ZF was really fun. The first time I did that, I was like "Holy cr@p!!!! Look at all those mobs!! We're soooooo dead." lol

The one I enjoy the most is the 2-headed guy in Shattered Halls.

"Me Hungry!"
"You're always hungry, that's why we so fat!"

The epic feel of bosses just isn't there for me with 25-mans, not even Illidan. :(

The first thing to pop in my mind is Pricess for Mara, that was a great, epic encounter, especially considering was was spot on level for the instance and everyone else was underleveled. It was great, I thought it would be some really good-looking girl you had to save in an epic "escort" quest, you know the kind. Anyway, that ugly princess freaked me out.

I ran scholo on my main(lvl 66) not to long ago for a paladin(or 2) to get the the chapel of light, and we fought Timmy. He's an undead **** in Scholo on the dead side that, when egaged, yelled "TIMMY!" which made me laugh because I couldn't get South Park off the mind.

Just to nitpick; Timmy the Cruel is in Stratholme Live side; he spawns when you kill the 3-4 Scarlet Crusaders on the stairs to their base. Dude hits like a truck; even at 70, I think the only fight tougher than him is the spider, and obviously the Baron. Not like any fight is "hard", but my health gets lower only on those.

Let's see, favorite INSTANCE boss? Well, coolest? I really liked the Onyxia fight, and the Ragnaros fight was awesome just for the sheer size and to watch all the melee get punted away from time to time.

I like Kaelthas as well. Much less random sh*t that can wipe a raid than Vashj but as some one stated it just feel Epic.

It has a slow build with the 4 mini bosses, nice and easy. Then the weapons come out and it becomes a dps race but nothing crazy. A minute after the weapons are up the 4 mini bosses are rezzed and the timer for Kael begin. Probably one of the best examples of absolutely tightly focused dps on the right mob at the right time if you want to win in game. By now your heart is pumping. The raid is broken up around the room and people are having to be aware of 4 mini bosses at once while doing insane DPS.

Then 30 seconds to Kael, you better kill that last guy now guys or we are hooped, healers and someone with the staff up front now. I want Mace and Staff buffs up. All pallies on MT. A half second of calm before the storm (if you're dps has done there job)

The phase 4 happens and you have this brief ultra intense fight with Prince Kael'thas Sunstrider. Flame patches, shields, eggs, aoe phoenixes, multiple mind controls, all on top of a boss that hits even 4/5 T5 tanks like a Mack Truck.

If you somehow manage to survive that sh*tstorm you get phase 5, which equals flying and guaranteed win. A nice cool down from a decent raid workout.

my favourite boss is voidreaver in TK... cause he does a cool action while you watch him without engaging him...... voidreaver makes like a bike and rev`s it up, either that or gruul... he punches the ground then acts like it hurts and looks around to see if anyone seen what he did.

It's not really because they're fun to fight, but they're just fun overall.

Bloodlord Mandokir: Yells "Ding!" when he kills a player, and Jin'do the Hexxar often replies with a "Grats!"

Warchief Rend Blackhand: Rather fun guy really. When you're doing his event, he suddenly outbursts "WOOT!".

Nefarian: When doing Rend event, he's disguised as a Human. "Kill the ones in dress" "Kill the healers" - and when you actually fight him, he's fairly bright, calling out classes and sending masses of drakonids to kill you.

I both hate and love Zul'jin. People always seem to suck in P3.

For old time, I loved fighting Onyxia and Ragnaros. They were so fun. Baron Geddon too.

Sapphiron was awesome aswell.

I love alot of fights Smiley: lol

Wow, I fell sorta weird being the guy to name a boss no one else has...

Of the up-to-and-including-T5 content I've seen (5/6SSC, 3/4TK and working on Vashj) Al'ar has to be by far my favorite. Maybe is the whole Enhancement Shaman hybrid thing, but Al'ar has everything I could ask for: melee DPS required, quick positioning and precise movement, and even well aimed off-heals at those in range.

And for those that named Vashj, she can eat a "insert slang for the male sexual organ here." Once they give melee something to do but kill Naga in phase 2, other than be breasts on a male cow, I'll be happy.

I haven't been playing long but my favorite is the last gnome boss in gnomergan. I giggle whenever I hear him shout, "Explosions! More explosions!"

He's one of the main reasons why I want to take of engineering. I feel the need for an explosive sheep.

I'd have to say my favourite boss is Reliquary of souls. Its one of those fights which tests everything, tanks, dps healers, interrupts, dispelling, and general awareness. Its also one of the fights, which no matter how many times you do it, you never quite know if everything is going to work out ok.

I'll get the obvious ones out of the way.

Mr Time for Fun in Slabs and the Odd Couple in Shattered Halls.

Rend Blackhand, such a fun event.

Onyxia. It's a freaking dragon. A big one. For someone who was never able to raid much, Ony was so much fun.

Rescuing Thrall from Durnhold Keep. When they announced that dungeon, I had just finished reading the novel "Lord of the Clans" about Thrall, was great to "reinact" the book, and the human illusion was brilliant. Hope to see it return for helping Arthas in Stratholm.

Speaking on Stratholm, fighting Baron was fun, and the event to even get to him was such an enjoyable challenge.

The giant murloc boss in Wailing Cavens. Hate that place, so looooooooooong. When I finally managed to complete it all the way through fighting a giant fish man was not what I expected.

Panther in ZG, I always got to heal one of the guys killing the panther adds. One of the few fights I'd choose to heal over dpsing.

And I know it's not WoW related, but Master Hand. Love that guy :p
