Coolest and most fun one I've ran into to date is the Lurker Below in Serpentshrine Caverns.

The boss has a unique design (as far as I'm concerned - don't ever remember seeing his model before) as well as one of the more unique ways to start his event - you have to fish him up.

There's a patch of glowing water surrounded by a circular wooden platform called a Strange Pool and once the raid is ready, everyone needs to fish in it to "catch" the boss.

Once you've caught him the fight itself isn't too exceptional - one of the easier 25m bosses in my XP - but I still like him just for the uniqueness and neatness factor.

What's your vote - who, where and why?

I didn't start playing until right before BC was released so I never got to saw it but I would love to experience the C'Thun fight. From what I've heard it's one of the most fun, challenging, and well designed fights in the game.

I've only done 2 raids, Karazhan and Gruul's Lair, and I wouldn't pick any of the bosses from those two instances. I'm going with Murmur. Especially on Heroic.

He may not be considered a boss, but he's my favorite of all enemies. The fight is loads of fun (the entire event is), and it's amusing:

Now you face da true champion! I give you chance to run away little one. Run away before Mogor decim... destyor... Run away before Mogor KILL!

Instead of "Turn Undead," paladins get "Hammertime", which forces the targeted player to dance uncontrollably for 20 seconds.

Ah - let's also not forget Big Bad Wolf from Kara -

"Run away little girl!!!"

LOL - I made a macro key of "Squeee!!!!" so that I can 'scream like a little girl' when running from him - only bad thing about it is first time I used it I accidentally wiped the raid - half the raid claimed to have fallen out of thier chairs laughing or spit soda all over thier keyboards/monitors.

Vashj is a hell of a fight.

"Wait you mean I have to kill elementals while waiting for tainted spawns, which need to die immediately, all while putting dps on that strider that fears anyone in range and needs to go down in one rotation or else the raid dies, all while tossing an item that roots you like a game of hot potato. And if I fail on any one of those things that I have to do at the same time I make the fight exponentially harder for the raid! ****"

I like the Eagle boss in ZA, Zul'jin, Little red Riding hood is a blast, Healing on Azgalor and his trash, Teron Gorefiend and getting the constructs and just melting them, Supremus for the kite phases is fun as well.

My favorite boss fight so far has to be the last boss in Arc. The boss is boring, but I love milhouse. "I'm going to light you up, sweet cheeks!" The dev's must have had some fun coming up with that fight.

I've currently fought up to Gurtogg Blood boil (4/9 BT) and Azgalor (3/5 MH), my fave fight is Kael as it feels so epic when you finally get the fight down.

I still hate Vashj to this day, my guild learned the Kael fight faster than that one, only because even if you have her on 'farm' it is still difficult to replicate it because of so much random stuff that can happen. Oh no, the strider spawned + tainted + naga killed the healer over there and the tainted is on the opposite side of me, wipe it. Uh oh, got targeted by 5 chain lightnings in a row, dead, elementals getting through, oops 3 got to her, wipe it. Etc. It feels great every time you down her, but man am I glad to not have to go back to her, hopefully ever.

The three most fun melee fights, IMO, are Vael from BWL, Shade of Aran, and the first boss of AQ20. Vael and Shade are awesome because I can just go nuts with DPS without a care in the world, and dancing around on that AQ20 boss is a lot of fun. In TBC, Leotheras, Vashj, and Archimonde are pretty cool.

Favorite overall is probably Vael, though. Unlimited energy ftw.

Yeah, I'm going to have to vote for the Big Bad Wolf as well.

The first time I did that, I was the only person to die when it was my turn to run around like a little girl >_<

I got two that I still really like.

Incitor in SL. IT'S FUN TIME!! Even tho that fight still is tough, as gear progresses for everyone in the group, the level of difficulty does too.

The other one is:
That final boss in Arc. Not so much the boss, but that guy unlocking the cells of 'horrible mobs', and POOF a small Gnome pops out of one "Nice to mee you".

So far: Vashj for the extreme complexity, Kael'thas for the Legendary weapons (god I love that bow), and Ragnaros mainly because his rediculous size makes the fight feel epic.

Big Bad Wolf and Gruul.

First time I ever did that fight I was the girl all 3 or 4 times it happened. Guild leader noted that I was the best re riding hood we've ever had.

Gruul takes alot of coordination and its always fun to race away from people before you get stoned.

I'm gonna go with the Warlock Dreadsteed ritual.

The horse, once summoned, it fairly boring, but the summoning is VERY dramatic and fun.

You may not need to run this to get xp or loot, but go anyway, just for drama. LOL
