Dear Darqueblueknight,

I got all teary, but it wasn't depressing, it was uplifting.

(And then there were more tales of euthanasing beloved pets later in the thread and my tears spilled over. Damn you all!

*sob*)

I drew my avatar with a graphics tablet and photoshop. (Using the Autumn Leaves brush!)

I was an Atheist, until I did a Philosophy course. Now I'm not so much religious as I'm intrigued with Metaphysics. Basically I'm somewhat prepared to accept all religions as being true if you strip out all the trimmings (95%) and get down to the essentials (where all the religions actually AGREE with one another)

That's a great story Darque; it's always sad to see a good companion pass. I want to go into law enforcement when I grow older (only 15 now), and I'd love to have a companion stick it out with me while on duty.

Thanks for sharing. May Aron rest in peace.

I don't know how I missed the post when it was posted. Must've been blind that week :S

Very touching, a man and dog is a very stong bond. I can't even imagine how much that sucked. =(

I hearby decree that your avatar is the greatest ever.

The boyfriend and I watched I Am Legend last night and your dog reminds me of the one in the movie... very nice looking breed. The movie sort of made me want to get one.

Wow, that was a sad story. Never easy when you lose a pet, even if it's "just" a pet. I've said goodbye to a dog and three cats over the last 22 years and it hurt every time, even though they were of age and such. Smiley: um

I think Kate Beckinsale is the manifestation of sexy and thus have devoted my avatar to her stunning présence.

I am sorry for your loss, I'm sure he was more of a friend/family member than a pet.

My avatar is just whatever silly ones I find while surfing. Real life forces me to be serious all the time and this game/website allows me to release some of that tention.

I'm not looking forward to that decision either - I have 2 dogs right now, and while they aren't work dogs or anything like that, I love them anyway. :(

I'm currently studying to be a dog handler/breeder and me and my wife have been a foster home for a local dog shelter for close to 3 years now, helping about 2 dozen dogs find a loving family. It's always nice to hear about other canine enthusiast, even if it's not always happy stories :\.

My avatar was made for me from a China WoW commercial by one of our then regular poster. I played an Orc shaman back in the day and I was quite vocal about being a hardcore pvper and 'hating' carebear. He figured the screaming orc face just fit.

Wasn't that commercial and WoW/Coca Cola Commercial? With the three girls and their 'boss'? I like that commercial, it's funny.

I feel for you. I lost my Cassie 2 weeks ago. She was a very beautiful Shetland Sheepdog. It was a great 12 years. It came so sudden we didn't expect it. That morning she was her usual self then when we got home from work, she could barely stand up.

We took her to the K9 ER right then and found out she had a tumor on her liver and the treatment and whatnot would have only kept her around for maybe 2 months. She was in a lot of pain and we could not think of putting her through it just so we could be happy for a short while longer.

It was a very hard decision for my family to do. We will miss her.

Aww man. Pets are much more than just pets, and it does hurt a lot when you lose one. My cat is 16 years old now, and the old ****** finds it hard to get about. She has taken to climbing on to things by dragging her way up with her claws, as she can't really jump any more. She spends a lot of her day lying in front of the fire now, and I don't think she has too long left.

My Avatar however, is just the Scottish Saltire.

I don't have an avatar but I'm really sorry about your loss.
I lost a dog to cancer a long time ago, although I was kind of young and didn't remember the whole process, and didn't go on the trips to the vet.

My dogs now though, a 2 year old male weimeraner is pretty much my life next to WoW and my boyfriend and a 17 year old aussie cattle dog. I don't know what I'll do when the older dog goes. She has trouble getting up sometimes, and has to lay back down to recollect herself if she sleeps too long.

I think its really nice seeing other people's interests on WoW, besides the obvious interest we all share =]
