Hello.

I have a full working copy of the latest World of Warcraft on my computer.
I want to get it all onto my laptop.

If I install the retail copy I have which is very old and then copy all the files from the working up-to-date directory onto the other out-of-date directory will it run without patching?

Thanks!

You don't have to install it at all if you don't want. Just copy the entire "C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft" directory to the new computer.

After you do this, you can run the game without installing or updating.

no, you will still need to patch it, only difference is you wont need to download the patches as you will have copied them across.

Or you could do what jpaugh suggested and not need to patch at all.

Cool, I was just wondering if any registry entries were created or anything like that to not allow installation.

I've got a 500GB HDD, so I'll do as said and copy it all over.

Thanks!
