I'm going to go 17/0/44 when I hit 70. Right now at 67, I have every single point in Frost.
IAM will be nice ... as will imp CS. Can't complain about Clearcasting or the tiny armor buff, either.

Why I mentioned full arcane was because of slow. I think would prove useful, slowing his movement and shot times. Weather its better then the elemental in a vs. hunter situation I can't say without having done it, but slow may prove usful too.

You stop being a frost mage a LONG time before you hit Slow.

I need to respect to try that, as I agree, trying to talent for just one type of encounter is silly. But I am still extememly heavy frost at 70.
I did go full arcane 60-68, and was very nice, but, my PvP experience with it was none, as I wouldn't go into a BG under leveled, but the 17/0/44 build does work I am sure very well. Which reminds me, I need to get on my mage and adjust talents with icy viens, as I had IB talented.. did they do a talent refund?
But other specs are PvP friendly I am sure, arcane being the second best with remainder points in fire for the instant pyro.. I been thinking of going back to it, but I'll have a go with frost some more, check out the new talent.

If you were deep frost you'll have icy vein learned already.

Ahhh so they did that.. bastards.. I like free respec's, like they did for us when they added the new talents before TBC.

In essence, yes. In reality, I died because I realised the paladin was healing the mage, and switched targets to the paladin. When I suggested that my comrades do the same, they kept on at the mage- who now focused all fire at me (realising I was targeting his healer). So I actually died from a mage/pally duo who were better than three Alliance (myself included). I was just extremely frustrated that nobody else seemed to realise the mage kept getting his health back!
