No questions this time. But, just wanted to share. I have a 15 tauren warrior and flew from O-town to the crossroads only to see everything dead (this was on Akama). I was like - what happened here. Someone told me the allies were attacking. So, I drew my 1h axe and equiped my shield and attacked the first ally I saw. Well. WHAMO - I got hit for 2323 dmg - DEAD. Ok, so I run my lesser self to my corse and raise - WHAMO - Dead. Ok, so now I have the point - wait till they are not standing next to me. So I wait and raise... WHAMO - Dead. Then, next time I wait and I see the group runnin away fighting. Great this is my time... I raise... WHAMO Dead...

So, after a broken horn, a bloody nose, a feeling of being violated, and some great learning experience, I was able to sneak out of the battle zone. FUN FUN FUN. loved it! Can't wait till I am high enough to do some attacking on Allies....... YEeeeEEHaaawwWW

Ok, just wanted to share.

Ok, wanted to update ya'll. I'm level 30 now and have been spending most of my time in the constested areas. I had another story for you. After several times of being ganked and watching my wife being ganked (we run our quests together)- I run into a gnome warlock in Ashenvale. I decide it is time for me to exact revenge.... I CHARGE and hit him for a crit. His life dropped about 1/2. I Raise my 2h axe for another swing... I'm dead. Yeppers. after all my "eat more chicken" comments, my dead cow butt was dead and the gnome was just a dancing thinking about hamburgers i'm sure. I high ?? Lvl rogue unstealthed and nailed me. Took me 15 minutes of corpse running to get out. Didn't see the lil' guy's big brother. LOL

Huh? How did you get flagged for a Alli to kill you? Contested areas start at lv20. Unless you attacked on lv?? at the Xroads =P

Funny story OP. Reminds me of my Rogue in PvP server... I almost never leave stealth Smiley: yikes

I did attack for fun. I'm sure I provided some laughs to the Allies about a 15 warrior jumping into the fray!

He did say he attacked an ally himself. It is fun first time round isnt it? I remember on my first character when I was handing in something I read the allies were about to attack. Caught this group all positioned up in front of XR before attacking. Made me fall in love with the game really just that exciting things can happen out of no where.

First time I saw an Ally, I was running through the Barrens and I saw this Warlock (no pet (or it was a priest...I don't remember)) running by. So, I turn around and charged him! And he just kept going, ignoring my attacks. Even feared me off for a short while, but I returned to my duties to the horde and tried again. Deciding that I was a bit thick headed, he helped me with that and lightened the load off my shoulders a bit. One corpse run later, and I had my first death in PvP! Woo!

Heh. I got PKed for my first time this weekend. I made my way out of Silvermoon/Ghostlands area on Friday and was exploring the areas surrounding the Undercity. I was in Tirisfal Glades a bit west of the Bulwark and I saw a horde player laying dead and no one else around. I started to raise him and about 1/2 way into my casting, a little gnome on his horse rode up and whacked me just as I finished casting. In spirit form, I ran back out near my body and made sure to accept my resurrection from the farthest distance I could behind some obstacle and ran, in case he was still in the area.

It was rather funny, and I'm just glad it didn't happen repeatedly to my frustration.

Since I'm on a PvE server, I figure the person I was trying to raise got flagged for PvP somehow before he died? Maybe he got whacked by the same gnome. I don't know, I'm new to this stuff.

lol..i love it!! At least you tried.

I remember the first time, for a kick, there were 3 allies runnin around by the X-roads. Well there were 5 of us headin towards Razorfen. I think I was prob loe or mid 20s. Just to be a dork I stopped and ran up to a lvl 40something pally. He dismounted and started dancing. So I took a shot at him. I actually did some damage..lol. NOT! He let me take a few whacks at him then he wasted me. My friends all started pst me "are u crazy?" I just laughed and said I had to try.

On a side note I laughed at a different server. 2 good friends of mine switched over to a higher pop server(ravenhold?). I was in undead area lvling up and for a good 30 mins. I kept reading Brightwater Lake under attack!! and The Bulwark is under attack!! Then they ran through Deathnell....Nice to see the allies do this on other servers....lol.

I had a similar experience in Crossroads when I just started playing.

A funny recent pvp encounter I had was in Ashenvale. There's a quest to protect some orcs while they kill some night elves in a little outpost. I clear out the outpost and run to the orcs to start the quest. We all run into the building and there's a night elf standing there looking around. I knew I killed them all so I thought it was a repop at first, until I noticed he didn't look like the nelf npcs around the area. All of a sudden the npc orcs with me ganged up on that poor player and started demolishing him. He starts to run away and the orcs are following him, and that's interrupting my quest so I decide to stop it. I calmly prowl over to him and destroy him in 2 hits. I hurried up and finished the quest and stealthed out in case he decided to bring friends and get his revenge.

my first toon was a hordie, but that was on a "normal" server, define normal? but then i found out my cousin played alliance on a pvp server, so i thought id try it out, and i made myself a priest, and in the 40's i liked running through the Barrens to do RFD and seeing a young hordie run up to me to see if they could do something to me, it usually ended up with fear, shield, mind blast, mindflay, shadow word pain, mind blast, dead hordie on my hands... oh well, keep running, in my stranglethorn days it was id see a hordie, fear run like hell till, if it were a druid he rooted me then i just healed healed healed, then feared and ran.. etc etc.. till i got to BB and he forgot to stop attacking and the gaurds decided to kill em. god knows how long ago but i decided to make a hordie, man was that a great decision, and im not being sarcastic, undead rogue, spead through the first 25 or so levels, then hung outside of darkshire like they'd done to me while leveling my toons, and man did i have fun raping the young alliance players, unfortunately, im no longer on a pvp server, i wanna go back, but leveling another toon is not ganna be to much fun, cause the current on that im leveling is 32... in two weeks. maybe the day will come ill have another hordie on a pvp server

I am on a RP, PvE server, so I don't even think I CAN attack an Alliance player in most zones, even if I wanted to... I was levelling my Rogue (level 21) a bit in Barrens, mostly just farming some leather near Camp Taurajo, when this annoying Dranei something or other, level 35, came over and kept dancing on all my kills just as I started to skin them. I guess he was flagged for PvP, because of course, while trying to click on my kill to skin it, I accidentally hit him. And obviously that "brave" Alliance player killed me in two or three hits while I did him very little damage. Especially that I was in "skinning" mode, not even thinking of attacking anything, I was totally unprepared.

/sigh

Those brave Alliance players. Well, at least he now has a "story" to tell all his friends about how he avenged the Alliance and killed one of those evil Horde players who "attacked" him in The Barrens.

I was starting to get a bit bored with WoW and I'm not even 70 yet. I dunno, it was missing... something undefinable? But I defined it! I rolled an Undead Mage yesterday on a PVP server (Ysondred is the server I think, I'm at work now and can't look it up)... so far just the anticipation of PVP in the world has me excited once more, so we'll see how things go!

Your a inspiration to lowbies everywhere. ^^ Keep up the good work. We Capped ally just love one hitting lowbies. As I'm sure, Vise Versa.

My first time running into a Ally was in Stonetalon. I was corpse camped for about 2 hours.

Good times.

Though, I was running through again and I ran into a Ally Hunter the next day, and I proceded to go on my way, he threw his pet on me and I thrashed his ***.

I love PvP so much.

My worst camping exprience happened in Hillsbrad, it wasn't that I was camped for a long time It was the sheer indignity of being meleed to death by a priest, a level 70 priest, but a priest nonetheless

The best thing to do to a flagged lowbie is CC them for as long as you possibly can.

Incorrect. If I see a player dramatically lower level than me and flagged, I do not kill them. There's no reason to PVP except in your level range. Anything else is pointless.

Thus, making them regret rolling a character on a PvP server, ahaha...

Maybe to you. It's incredibly boring to me. What's fun to me is taking on someone with good gear at my level and destroying them. If there's no challenge, where's the fun? Are you tired of getting spanked by your own level because of your inadequate skills so you take it out on those that can't possibly defeat you?

My very first encounter with an Ally. I rolled a Warlock, this is back when Warlocks were horribly weak in PvP. Stonetalon mountains, I crested a hill and there he was, an Ally hunter. We looked at each other in shock for a few moments, then he started shooting at me and his pet attacked. I did not have a clue what was going on, and luckily for me I think this guy was in the same boat. I stood at range, dotting and shadow-bolting. I never even tried a fear, I had no idea what I was doing. I died. He had a sliver of health left, and I had a Soulstone ready. I popped back and hit him with another shadow-bolt and he died.

That's what happens when two opposing faction newbies meet each other in contested territories, and proceed to fight :p

Reminds me of when my Hunter was lvl 62ish. I was in Xroads for some reason when the allies attacked. I engaged a lvl 70 Rogue. So did some little lvl 15 undead.

I nearly got the Rogue to 0 as he didn't see me plugging away at him initially as he was too busy ganking. He eventually saw me and killed me, but I'd got him down to a sliver of HP. The little lvl 15 must've got a lucky crit or something because he finished him off and got full honour :)
