Just In....Secret to getting LOTS of gold in WarcraftFollow

After 8 months of play and trying every method of gaining gold other than cheating I have stumbled accross The Secret to getting gold in Warcraft. Questing!!!!! Yes Yes I know I will probably be hunted down and crucified for letting the secret out of the bag...but with all the posts about gold and how do I get it ALL RIGHT NOW I felt it imparitive that I pass this info along. My advice to all of you "prospectors" is get out there and start leveling through quests...shocking I know...right under our noses the whole time. But after your hard and dillagent work pays off and you reach level 70....well WoW just throws the gold at you. Read exp cap=more gold for quests. And with the new exspansion coming next year...well nows the time to get cracking. And now I shall retreat to my "secure undisclosed location" and await my crusifiction. Peace

I had come in here totally ready to rate you down, fully expecting this to be a gold seller add.

I honestly don't know how anyone could NOT make lots of gold in this game. It's so easy it's almost laughable (laughable in a GOOD way of course).

And I've only been playing since early July. At the rate I'm going I'll have enough for one of those flying epic mounts (or w/e they're called) by the time I hit 70 on my first character.

Yes it is an exotic cat found in Northern Netherstorm. It is a rare spawn elite. I tamed one to see how he would work out... had to release him back to the wild after his comments on my shot rotation/play style... "Wow that was a huge crit...*grin*"; "You are much better than that rogue that just pawned you..*snicker" "Those are awesome boots! Did you get a bowl of soup with them?" Was much worse than an imp pet.

Nope. Giving away secrets like that deserves calling in the Black Ops boys from Ravenholdt. "Undisclosed Location"? Hah! Aigesfang will be found quickly. He can run, but he can't hide. Azerothland Security is on the job!

I see disturbing amount of naked lvl 1 toons running around SW yelling "I will dance for gold" on my server lately.

I am really wondering what kind of mind must person have to do that and more so what kind of mind must person have to actually stand there and watch them.

Just figured I'd add a suggestion to this; For those of you who want a good head start on your epic flying mount fund....

Try to save as many as possible Shadowmoon Valley & Netherstorm quests for after you hit 70, you heard me right, after you hit lvl 70...

The reason being is that most of us know that after 70 you start getting gold for the experience you would of gotten, finish the full compliment of those 2 areas and you'll be looking at a great nestegg to get that epic mount fund started.

Some of you might disagree, take it or leave it, in either case GL.

I haven't found gold to be an issue in this game, I hit my first major city 3 days ago, and walked into the auction house with 75 silver, that night I started playing the market. two and half days later, I have 24 gold off 75 silver worth of investments, and the profits are growing exponentially. That's a much better investment% than any other mmo I've played.

I just power leveled herbalism to 375 this week. A few tricks - solo the huge tree guys in skettis and use herbalism on their corpse. Lots of goodies there. Go to normal slave pens solo, run the instance 5 times an hour, sneaking past all the guards. In the 1st and 2nd rooms, learn the patrols, you get 2-3 ancient lichen spawns, sometimes a reachable adamantite vein, and I'd say every 2nd run you get 1-2 different herb spawns in addition to the lichen (flame caps for fire mages, and felweed and ragveil).

I also grabbed mining as a profession, but after herbing non stop for hours, I need a little rest before I go level mining :)

Once I get both to 375, questing + mining + herbalism = win. Too bad I finished most quests in SMV and Netherstorm though.

I was on the way to Undercity from Ogrimmar yesterday, waiting on the Zep with a group member (we were headed to Scarlet Monastery). We both get there and there's a mostly naked Blood Elf who keeps /flirt-ing, /kiss-ing, and /lick-ing me and my Tauren buddy (we were both Tauren, keeping it real). Then she starts yelling "DANCE" repeatedly. It was amusing.

I was going to ask Aegis why he spells it "moran" but chose instead to google the word.

This gave me a laugh:

You have until the Expansion comes out to make money this way. Then you must level to 80 again to get a ridiculous amount of money from these quests.

QFT.

I ground out 70% of my way from 68 to 70 for this very reason. When I hit 70, I still had over half the quests left in Blade's Edge, and hadn't touched Shadowmoon or Netherstorm yet.

When I hit 70, I upgraded some gear (didn't go crazy) and bought my regular flyer. I had about 900G left after that. I would've had more, but made a few BAD investments (trying to correct a market or 2 that went haywire with lemmings all trying to undercut the next guy. We're talking prices falling to less than 30% of fair market value - not "overpriced" inflation. FAIR market value. Guess I'm just not good at that sort of thing. :( )

Anyway, I'm a miner and skinner, but haven't really went out of my way to do either the last few days. I just soloed every solo quest I could to finish out Blade's edge, and a good part of the Netherstorm quests. I still haven't touched Shadowmoon, and have plenty of Netherstorm solo quests left, and loads of group/instance quests. I'm well over halfway to my training/mount money now. I don't know how much I'll squeeze out of Shadowmoon. But if the number of quests there is close to that of Netherstorm, I'll have my mount money before I'm even done questing.

It felt strange at first not having an xp bar. You'd glance at it now and then to measure your progress. Now, I find myself glancing at my bankroll the same way... and I'm often surprised how much I gained in a relatively short amount of time.

It can be "moran" inside North America to some times.
