when you are looking up you r posts from user account it would be nice to be able to see your post (which you can) and the rest of the posts in the forum. So when you click on your post you see that particular post and can scroll up or down to what others are saying

For those who don't know about the wowitem tag, putting a button in the editor that will accept either just the item number or the entire alla URL for that item (and then javascript it down to just the number) would be nice.

This may not be possible if the same editor base is used for all the sites, but it would be very helpful in getting the word out about the wowitem tag.

i think you should add a reputation section or add it to something else so we can see what rep you get from stuff and when you stop getting reputation from them

I really want a map of WoW. I can't ever figure out where things are. Like, if you could click on Kalimdor & then it would show the names of all the places & the capital cities & then click on Darkshore or something & it would show a complete map of Darkshore...

Maybe show where quests start on it or what lvls places are or something....that would really be nice

Also, experience calculators....

So you can put in your level & how much experience you have & it will tell you how many guys of which kind you need to kill

I dunno....just a thought...

I'm pretty sure Shandris isn't here either.

Is it possible to add sockets to the advanced search rating system? If we're using the rating system, we should have an idea of what a red socket would be worth in points.

If that doesn't work with the way the database is set up then at least printing the rated value on the search page would let us see how adding X points to a socketed item affects it's position in the list.

Thanks.

Hmm. For the character profiles, would it be possible to get a few of the TBC races included? I could help supply the pictures for it if needed, I'm sure a lot of people would. But it sucks (just a little bit) when you have to pick some other race's face for your blood elf, or tenta-draeni. heh.

Thoughts?

This has probably been said already however possibly not and is something that greatly frustrates me when using this site:

1) The ability to sort results when searching
2) Filters put in place so that Alliance/Horde topics/quests/etc. don't show up.

A forum for discussing addons and macros, perhaps, since the topic seems to come up regularly. It seems to be the only topic that is a huge issue on most sites that this site gives minimal attention to.

I would like to be able to search for quested items in a level range with the advanced search, but sadly when you put an level roof you still get lvl 70 stuff showing up and if you put a floor (that are all lvl 1 or 0 assumed I think) you get nothing. :(

I've just noticed this looking at some quest pages, and I thought it used to be here - maps for NPCs would be great. The specific ones I looked at were Jandice Barov(Scholo), and the Crimson Hammersmith(Strat), and I couldn't see maps for either one. Maybe there usually are maps and these are exceptions, if so could there be an option to submit maps the same way we can submit screenshots of mobs?

I would like to see a lot more of the "unnecessary" posts removed..

It serves no purpose to say that a quest or another post or poster is "gay" or "retarded", and I believe that these posts should be deleted whenever they are seen, and possibly that the access of the poster should be restricted to only viewing posts if they have posted more that one or two of this type of message.

I also see no purpose in a post that simply boasts of a player soloing a quest or a mob if it gives no indication of how the feat was accomplished. I believe this type of post should also be deleted.

I disagree with Zwilnik's idea as it stands, but I do think something needs to be done about the OMG WTF LOLOLO!!!11!!! type spam we've been seeing lately. Maybe an ignore button for the forums?

Hmm, I thought those types of useless posts were taken care of by the rating system - basically, if people rate the post down to sub-default (Awful I think) then it won't show up anymore on the page.

I have to remember to rate those posts, because they are pretty pointless.

I was looking through the various "Quest" search links on the left and there is no good way to find quests based on the reputation they award.

Potential hangups would be the unmarked reputation rewards, such as Aldor and Scryer quests also giving Sha'tar rep (up until 1 point away from honored). I suppose honor limits in general would be another hangup.

I was grinding Aldor rep on quests in Shadowmoon and wasn't sure where else I could go for quests (having already done several across the entire Outlands). I still need 25,000 rep to finish up honored-to-revered and get through revered to exalted. It would be nice to have a handy guide to make sure I hit all the quests for Aldor rep (and Aldor/Scryer is just an example, I'm sure there are other factions that I'll want to focus on eventually).

Edit: Suggestion 2 - Item Set summations
On the main page for each item set, it adds up the total for the base stats, but not the "On Equip" stats. Is there a way to filter the number out of the rest of the text (I'm sure some pattern matching could probably handle most effects nicely; search the text for "Increase healing by" and break it up by spaces and then grab the appropriate number).

It's not deal-breaking but it would definitely be nice to not have to go through and sum up the various +spell crits, +healing, etc.

If it hasn't already been requested, I would like to see a search feature that would show you quests by where you will gain reputation upon completion.Smiley: grin

I would like to see the item upgrader functionality be a little more useful. It seems that all of the items are just ranked on there level. Let it work more like the EQ version of the upgrader. Rank the items based on the how effective they are. Allow me to select the item I would like to upgrade to and save it to a wish list. This would be a big help.

Members Age displayed under there Avatars. Ages can be determined by a series of questions asked through survey during registration to gauge what generation they are from. And for those already regesitered, make it a popup that blocks the user from entering the site until the survey is completed. ^^
