Ganking QuestionFollow

It happens, all you can do is grin and bear it. See, because once you hit a high level, and see a tiny little gnome level one go past you, would you gank him or leave him be? Personally, I'd blast that guy's *** to hell.

Getting ganked is a natural event on a PvP server, everytime I see Alliance walking past me I shall almost always go out and gank them for the simple reason of the horror I lived in Hillsbrad.

If you play Horde and go to Hillsbrad you shall see the true horror of the Alliance has they shall chase you down EVERYWHERE you go. There was times that those Alliance were friendly and waved, I am just like this if they do this to me when I wave and be friendly with them.

Another thing I prefer about PvP server is it feels more like a real War between the Alliance and the Horde. What can be more fun? ^^'

If you don't like being ganked, be like other pansies and play on a pve server. PvP servers focus on, oddly enough, PvP. The whole point to that server is to have a world battlefield where you can fight others at any time just about anywhere. If you do nothing but kill npcs, then go play on a PvE server. Sure getting ganked is a fact of life, but I use it as inspiration to level faster and get the best gear I possibly can, so I can turn the tables later on.

In that case, since your targets would most likely have had nothing at all to do with what happened to you, i wouldn't call it revenge per se, more like malice. However, even though being ganked is tough, and often discouraging at first, getting ganked is what makes playing wow on a PVP interesting. It keeps me on my toes, and sets my heart racing. And, since i was so repeatedly ganked (UD caster = walking target to Pallies, Druids and Hunters... i was butchered way way more than simply twice a week, like our poster, more like several times a day) i have an empathy for others who are. Now i satisfy myself in my own way: When people post in general that they are being ganked by ?? players, i rush to their location and have a fun time nailing the transgressing individual(s). ^_^
I've heard the revenge rationalization a lot (mostly from rogues, oddly) and feel i can sympathize with it, being an UD warlock in a PVP server, therefore traveling at all times w/ a target emblazoned on my back, but for me personally, it's not my way... i like close call fights better.... greater rush XD.

ahhhh the good ol' days were id be ganked with 10 ?? NE rogues froms the same guild (TeH GaNgStAz PwNeZ) in hillsbrad...
BUT NOW IT'S MY TURN BABY NOTHIN STOPS A 60 WAR WITH EPIC SET!!!!

Hillsbrad was hell for me! 40-man Alliance raids rushed into Tarren and stayed then and ganked all Horde. . .


We managed to push them back to there hole at Southshore after hours and hours of getting killed.

this one time in STV

i was level 37 priest

watched a paladin lv 33 fighting a mob, i sub consiousely (sp!), casted sw: pain, vamp embrance and devouring Plague on him, and watched as his fight became a whople lot harder, i didnt kill him at this point thou (stupid me, shouldve just flung a mind blast when i had him)

so the paladin finishes off his mob, bubbles, heals, and proceed to rape me

in my defence i had no buffs <,<

Hillsbrad for me is a horribel place you guys get ganked twice a night try 4-5 times an hour it sad really when a tier 2 pally camps your corpse heres the kicker I'm 28!! Seems a tad bit ridiculous, I myself am not an Alliance supporter in the least but there was one pally that waved and actually HELPED me which was no what I expected but as soon as he left another pally came and proceeded to rape me. If you ask me ganking is kinda like paying your dues you get ganked and when you reach that higher level your the ganker. So its kind of a vicious cycle (I'm really hoping to be the ganker soon lol)

you think getting ganked twice a week is bad? well on Stormreaver all of my characters get ganked 3-6 times a day!

like last night, a NE hunter helped me out by killing my adds and saving my life.. he did /smile to me

then i figured, lol hes a NE hunter, and i killed him, then i /bow

the cyclus must go on, you OWE it to every alliance out there to kill them so they hate the horde so they kill other low lv hordes, thats the objective MAKE THEM HATE YOU!

i may have done wrong but, lol, its not like ill ever talk to that NE hunter... later that night after killing random persons in STV and Darnassus a lv 60 rogue ganked the **** outta me thou lol... I guess you get what you deserve, but im ok with that... i expect the allys to do their best to try to kill me, its the whole point of PvP, didnt roll here for nothing.
