I've had the best grinding session ever today. NOt so much in terms of cash value or rarity, but certainly in terms of luck.

Went to Farm Spider Silk in Duskwood from the Black Widow Hatchlings, as A something low effort to do and B see what else they might drop. I was also after Silk Cloth from the catacombs but thats another story.

Anyway, nearly every second spider dropped silk and kept it up for a good 45 minutes. Walked away with 3 full stacks of the stuff! Muchos chuffedness!!

Anyone else had a great grinding expereince where it all went well?

I thought it was a nice uplifting topic amidst all this hostility.

I slay those spiders in vain. *sniffs*

NOt so much a grind of killing sutff but I got 18g worth in 25 minutes of mining. Then it really slowed down.

Two days ago while getting my alt started on her Onyxia chain, the dragons just couldn't stop giving up greens. While lamenting my lack of skinning, I failed to notice [until my questing partner pointed it out] that a Taran Icebreaker had dropped.

It made one of my guildies very happy.

This particular partner is always a joy to run with. He has the most astonishing luck for drops.

I was grinding trolls in The Hinterlands for Wildvine, when a wolf attacked me. The wolf dropped Gut Ripper.

70 gold. Then I spent the next 4 days hanging around that same area and never got better than a dense stone from it.

Joined up with a party killing twilight dukes. Almost all of them dropped blue legs, everyone got at least one. Was a very good day financially.

Months ago, I tried my hand at farming SFK for Shadowfang and Assassin's Blade. I ran that place about 30 times with no luck whatsoever. Then, a week ago, I run a friend's low level alt through there, and BOTH of them drop. Still trying to sell the dagger in the AH though... Message Ryusei on Proudmoore if you want to buy it (Horde side).

Me too!

Last night I grinded Winterspring's Ice Thistle Yetis for some XP, and within four hours I walked away with 3 Rare Pieces of Armor AND an Epic Drop "Stockade Pauldrons".

Wonderful!
