Just a second and i will check my newly bought Atlas :)
(wich i know is a little outdated but what the hell).

hmm, it dosent say how much you can find, but briarthorn can be found in:

Ashenvale, Barrens, Darkshore, Duskwood, Hillsbrad, Loch modan, Redrige mountains, Silverpine forest, Stonetalon, Westfall, Wetlands.
So mostly not too far from the starting areas, whats you level and what race are you?? then i can give a more specific answer.

Now to the swifttisle, with herbalism, it says the only way is when looting a mageroyal bush or a briarthorn bush, it has a chance to drop swifttistle, moslty one or two.

Ask me more and i will look in my book of info again:)

How is that atlas by the way? Is it worth the $$? I've thought about buying it, but I heard that thottbot is all you need really.

yea i have some friends with the book... id say that its worth the money... but its out dated Thottbot is more up to date but is still outdated this website is good if u wanna look up things that ur never gonna see in the game... this site is full of bull$hit i swear it says that u can find lvl 30-40 items in places like MC & all that... but Thottbot is a pain to use... u just cant ever find what ur looking for unless u know exactly what it is... & as drop %s go ud have to ask Blizz cause all that site is is ppl reporing how many times they've killed that monster or whatever it is & reporting what dropped thats not that accurate... to find out the real drop %s ud have to work at Blizz or know someone that does...

i know this site is kool & all but some of the stuff that it says that monsters drop is waaaaayyyyyyyyy off....

The Atlas is mostly page after page with maps over all zones in Azeroth.
But you can find out about what trainers/vendors and other npcs in the zones.
You can also see a list of thing you can get from the gathering proffesions and where to find them, also what skill you must have.
And alot more.

But the most interesting thing about the book is that all the rare mobs in the entire game is listed in there.
And respawn time for them and where they spawn.

Worth the money indeed :D

Is that the guide? Or something separate? I read the official strategy guide once... it was terrible. It said Paladins had all sorts of abilities that had been gone since Beta... but it was fun to laugh at ^_^
