frost or fire mageFollow

Bah, it's not a question of which is better. Which do YOU like better. Either could be equally deadly. What do you want to do, Slow your opponents left and right or burn faces. I can't see a legit argument for which is better, both could be equally deadly when played right.

Frost mages do more dmg per mana point.
I'm a frost mage and love it. PLUS it makes alli's mad when they cant move for 10+ seconds. lol

Frost mages dont sacrifice very much to gain more of a stoping power. But whatever works for you.

unless yoru fighting someone in FR gear :( then you lose

Try thinking fighting a Frost Mage with Shatter(max rank talent) and then:

Frost Nova
Presence of Mind
Zandalarian Hero Charm(I don't know if this is the correct name :Þ)
Frost Bolt
Cone of Cold

I think this could kill anyone with less than 4k-5k health.

firemage=insane amounts of damage in a short amount of time, but once ur out of mana, u can get screwed, excellent for pvp

icemage= not as much raw damage as fire, but still good, their survivabilit makes up for it. good for pvp, but excellent if u plan on doing end-game instances, since the 3 out of 4 of the end-game bosses are fire, Rag, Ony, Nefarion, c-thun being nature, (no sense trying to shot fire attacks at someone who is living flame, or dragons who only do fire attacks)

I think fire mage is great & easy to use. I think frost is harder too use, unless have alot of gear that would increase damage output and that does really start happening until you get around 60. from what I hear. So my advice is stay with fire until you get some gear that will put some bite in to you frost. I have a 53 fire mage that I love. If run out of mana which don't happen that often that what wand was made for. Remember this too mob do have resistance to magic so u want to be able do damage quickly because don't know how long ice is going to hold them, fireball then fireblast with arcane missile will certianly get the job done.



Too frost mages want type gears is best to increase damage output. so went I get to 57 I will know what to buy.

btw, ive been wondering.i know this frost/arcane mage that has all epic gear...like aq40 zandalar herocharm and all that gear, well anyway he dueled me and 2 shot me...... frostbolt for 1498 normal and 4910 crit, so anyways i dont understand why he doesnt just got fire, i mean he could 1 hit me.........but th eguys a ******* so im not asking him ingame =P hopeing u guys could help out maybe

iam 60 mage and i prefer fire coz it blows faster and stronger than frost mage .. frost is good when 1 on 1 but in many people places fire rape faster and specialy fire deals realy high damage .. normal hits of fire 2k - 4k Criticals 5k - 11k ... yah yah 11k damage sounds unreal but check it ur self
