I always roll female characters now because I'm much more likely to get help/gold from other players, without asking of course. Faction doesn't seem to make a difference either.

My friend has female characters because they're not buff. He thinks that mages and warlocks shouldn't be bulging with muscles.

there's too many guys playing female toons. I vote the latter; girls playing male toons, though only with neutral or feminine names.

I don't know what's hotter, but I think it's annoying when guys make female characters and say that they're girls, when they're obviously not.

Alkeyon also has a reputation of two people: either a fifteen year old girl, or a sixteen year old guy. Most people who follow this reputation think that they're siblings. And he doesn't even try to get that reputation...

Yeah, if you're a dude, and you try to pass as a girl by playing as one and make a big fool of yourself, don't expect much success. It doesn't work that easily if you run around saying, "hi im r331y a gir1 h0/\/3571y u h4v 2 b3133v m3!!!!!!!"

but u have to admit some of the fan art it quite well done... by far better then my stick figures

On MUDs, I used to play male characters sometimes so people would take me a bit more seriously. If I played a female char, they automatically assumed I was either trying to get free money/items/exp or that I wanted to cyber them (or both). I ended up responding by doing almost ALL of my playing solo. It carries over to WoW where I hardly ever LFG and usually wait for people to ask me if I want to group.

The assumption is that real girls don't speak l33t, apparently...or maybe that we just tend to have better grammar/spelling. ;)

I think 1337 was made back in the times when nerds were not the rulers of civilization. Back when they/we had a natural enemy, jocks. I think it was made so that nerds could communicate without predators getting in the way, teasing, etcetera. But it all backfired because 1337 was immensly funny and stupid. Now its kind of an inside jokes for nerds when the more popular people try to use it to look cool, unknowingly looking like dumbasses and doing it wrong.

So the nonsexualystimated can have a clear view of some green orckish knockers?
